Damn. And this whole time my strategy was to wait until taylorj99 posted his roster and steal it. Guess I'll have to find a plan B.Imagine if you had the one and only winning entry, until you blindly posted your lineup here. I don't understand the logic. If you knew what the winning lotto numbers were gonna be, would you share that info too?
Who here has the winning entry? You? Me?Your point doesn't really hold water because none of us knows what the winning lineup will be. I'll give you the numbers I am playing in this weeks lotto and the games I will be betting on this week. Does that do you any good at all?Everyone here is smarter than I.Imagine if you had the one and only winning entry, until you blindly posted your lineup here. I don't understand the logic. If you knew what the winning lotto numbers were gonna be, would you share that info too?
Tonight at midnightWhen is the contest deadline?was it early THIS morning? (deadline already passed)ORis it tonight at midnight?
Actually, that makes the win that much sweeter. you GAVE everyone the answer - they just did not recognize it -Imagine if you had the one and only winning entry, until you blindly posted your lineup here. that is one sahrky kind of moveQB - Green / Fiedler / Warner - $24RB - McCalister / Westbrook / Suggs / J. Jones / L Jordan - $151WR - Smith, R / Rogers / Fitzgerald / Davis, 3000 / Bennett, D / Terrell / Taylor - $57TE - Gates / Manamanuela - $8PK - Graham / Cundiff - $4D - ST. Louis / Detroit - $6OK, so MAYBE this isn't the winner.........The cut is at 12,000. Last year we had 8,113 entries. Early this week (before I sent the announcement last night to all subscribers), we had about 6,000 entrants. If we have fewer than 12,000 entries then everyone is safe.If I were a betting man....DavidWhat is the chance that every team gets a free pass to week 2? I know it has to do with the number of entries(subscribers)...maybe Dodds can comment on this?I assume that every subscriber will submit a team.
Too bad there's no week 1 NFL byes!!The cut is at 12,000. Last year we had 8,113 entries. First bye you lose?I'm totally clueless on this thing so I just threw this together in about 10 mins:Figured I'd get 1 top RB, 1 top WR and then all flyers after that.QB - Palmer/McCown/Carr - $22RB - Portis/Jordan/Rhodes/Suggs/ATrain - $107WR - Moss/Stallworth/Driver/Northcutt/Bennett/Bradford/Parker - $101TE - Dallas Clark/Franks - $11PK - Edinger/Lindell - $4DST - Cin/Den - $5
What I mean is, how can I enter the contest? Where is the sign-up?How do I get in? I can't find the entry point...

Stu's Your Daddy:QB - $36 (Carr, Delhomme, McNair)RB - $113 (Fargus, Julius Jones, Thomas Jones, Chris Brown, Westbrook)WR - $65 (Eric Parker, Terrell, Rogers, Fitzgerald, Stallworth, McCareins, Lloyd)TE - $15 (Freddie Jones, McMichael)K - $11 (Vanderjagt, Hanson)DEF - $10 (Rams, Eagles)No real studs, but I tried to be solid all-around to make it through the season. We have very similar teams but I decided to go with more depth at RB (although very expensive) and have T. Jones and J. Jones. Julius has more potential than Moe over the whole season so I went with him. That really hurt me at WR and I wanted Andre Johnson. I like McNair a lot and he's not much of an injury risk (to put it mildly). I didn't want to go too cheap on the TE, K and D since it didn't take much to get one of the top guys. QB - $36 (Carr, Delhomme, McNair)Ok - I'm done. Finally!
QB: Favre, Pennington, Gannon
RB: Westbrook, C. Brown, Alstott, M. Williams, Fargas
WR: A. Johnson, Branch, Fitzgerald, Lloyd, Rogers, McCareins, Stallworth
TE: Gates, Witten
K: Hanson, K. Brown
Def: Denver, Carolina
Why my team has a chance at this thing...
* All three of my QB's have a shot at the top 10.
* Westbrook and Brown were the best value at the lowest price. IMO Alstott is in for a big season, Moe will catch 40-50 recs and he'll rush for some yards too. Fargas is the darkhorse and if he emerges out of Oakland, I could have one helluva team
* Can you build a stronger WR corps with this cap stranglehold? Solid all the way through.
* Gates - I'm hoping he can prove me right. Witten is the lone TE in a Bill Parcels offense. Parcels has a history of getting good production from his TE's.
* Hanson and K. Brown are casualties of running out of $, yet they are still serviceable and both are on budding offenses.
* Denver and Carolina will produce top 10 in sacks each. Both should have adequate turnover ratios too.

Depth at WR and RB, but there's a good chance that a lot of your team will not be playing by the end of the season (Gannon, Warner, Wheatley, Griffin). There's a lot of downside to those guys so it's a risky way to go.Pennington, Gannon, Warner: $27TJones, Griffin, Suggs, Brown, Wheatley: $114Lloyd, Stallworth, Branch, Porter, Fitzgerald, Rogers: $83Clark, Jones: $13Scobee, Edinger: $ 4Denver, Tampa; $9$250= $15,000I went for depth, took all the players who seemed like great bargains.

Don't forget Carr, I think he's on every team.I'm one of the few that didn't get Suggs since I think J. Jones has more upside and a much easier schedule.I think most teams are going to be similar. There will be a lot of common FBG's and value players on teams. Here's mineennington, Harrington, Carr (15/7/6, 28)Rudi, C. Brown, Westbrook, Suggs, Jackson (40/32/31/15/11, 129)Walker, McCareins, Fitzgerald, Stallworth, Rogers, Rice, Parker (22/14/11/10/9/4/2, 72)Gates, Stephens (6/4, 10)Cundiff, Graham (2/2)Vikings, Bengals (5/2, 7)The common players picked so far are Brown, Westbrook, Suggs, Fitz, Rogers, Parker.
He did have Manning but got him for only $17. I think the winner this year will have a QB in the $15-$20 range. I thought McNair was a good bet, but also like Favre, Pennington, Brady and Green. If I remember correctly last years winner had a stud QB (Manning) and stud RB (LT)...And he went with "potential" at the WR position...I tried the same with Pepper as my stud QB and "potential" at WR...My big diversion, from that strategy, is that I selected good but not studly RB's because if I can get 2 out of 5 to score on any given weekend, I should be looking good...I looked at getting LT but did not see a good fit with his salary unless I wanted to take McGahee, Pittman and Hollings as 3 of the RB's...Also realize that you have to do something different from the other thousand contestants to win... At least that was the thought behind my picks...
