2005 FBG/NFL Mock Draft Rounds 2 and 3 (1 Viewer)

Maybe one of the VT secondary guys? Minny could use some help in the secondary. Eric Green CB Virginia Tech or Vince Fuller S Virginia Tech?I have to run, but I'd say one of them or even Antonio Perkins CB Oklahoma if he's not gone yet.

Stop it... How about a Running Back :excited: :D

I think Darryl Blackstock, OLB, Virginia would be a good pick for the Vikes here...

So far -- 2 votes for Vince Fuller, S, Virginia Tech; 1 vote for Darryl Blackstock. OLB, Virginia.Couple more votes and we should be able to move this thing along...

Too early for Fuller, he'll be there a round or two later. My pick is for either:Darryl Blackstock, OLB, Virginia (6-4, 240, 4.7)Odell Thurman, ILB, Georgia (6-1, 235, 4.7)

I am torn doing this because there is so much turmoil with the Vikes this offseasonI truly believe there will be a new owner.I dont think there will be any deal involvong Moss unless the new owner wants it to happen.I hope they deal Moss because then it will be Daunte's team and he will become the leader & MVP caliber player that Randy prevents him from becomingAll that being said for the sake of the mock I will take Darryl Blackstock, OLB, Virginia Given the current needs barring any trades and what is left on the board, this seems to be the best move.

I don't think Moss is going anywhere and the Vikes need LB help. I think Blackstock is a good pick for them.

Kiper just hyped Roddy as a mid first rounder. Said Mitchell needs to have a good Senior Bowl just to get in the 2nd round and Orton is the best QB so far. Also said Webster needs to have a good run there to get into the 2nd. Thats all I remember.

The way Roddy played he will probably go first round. If he lasts until the Steelers pick they could take him with Burress leaving.Kiper's list of players that improved their stock at Senior Bowl practice:QB Kyle OrtonWR Mark Clayton (FWIW, Randy Mueller compared him to Andre Rison).WR Vincent JacksonWR Roddy WhiteDE Demarcus Ware (3-4 OLB)DE Matt Roth - he really liked Roth's toughness and hard workHe's also thought Jason Campbell could improve his draft status if he plays well.

Bump to the 1st page...I think BSR/St. Louis Rams' time has expired... Do we want to start looking at possible picks for the Rams??

Liking the Clayton pick to the Ravens even better now....... unfortunatly the NFL gets caught up in weights and measures and overlooks a guys who is a good football player, I hope Clayton measures up in the combine.

Let's throw some names out. How about Alex Smith - TE - Stanford? Are the Rams happy with Mananulma (SP?)? Maybe secondary help?Maybe Munoz on the OL? Turley is a question mark, no? Possible future replacement for Pace also.

I like Mike Munoz, OL, Tennessee. Definate need pick and provides decent value here..Sucks too 'cause I was hoping he would slide to me at the top of the 3rd :(

We'll see if anyone else chimes in, maybe a Rams homer, and if not then we'll make it official in about 15 minutes.

I'm going to PM UFFLCommish for the Packers pick and let him know he'll be up very soon.

Definitely need a few more votes to make it official. Right now we've got 1.5 votes for Munoz {you mentioned his name, so I'm counting that as 0.5 votes}...

Brown would have been perfect for the Rams. So another vote for Munoz.Alex Smith would be a pretty cool pick.I thought I could get Canty with the Jags' 2nd round pick. Damn.

St. Louis selects Mike Munoz with the 18th pick of the second round. Consensus selection from FBG. The Rams need some OL help and to get younger on the OL. Turley is a question mark and Pace isn't getting younger, although still a top tackle. They passed up Jamal Brown in the first round, so this makes sense in the second.Round 233(1). San Francisco 49ers - Brandon Browner - CB - Oregon State34(2). Cleveland Browns - Elton Brown - OG - Virginia35(3). Philadelphia Eagles (from Miami)- Rian "Goo" Wallace - LB - Temple36(4). New England Patriots - UFFLCommish is on the clock with the Packers and has been PMed.

more defense for GB here? i have a hard time telling apart the next batch of QB prospects. I will throw out Odell Thurman's name as a possibility. But I'm not sure if Packers homers are happy with their DBs either.

Charlie Frye QB Akron QBHow long can Farve play....
Would be an OUTSTANDING selection. I still have hope the Lions will take him if he slides into the 2nd.. not sure that he will slide all that far though. I personally think he might be the best QB in this draft 2-3 years from now.Sooner or later the Packers need to develop a serious plan for LAF (life after Favre). I don't believe it's going to be JT O'Sullivan either.

anyone else? i'm up next with jacksonville and if i don't get to make that pick soon, there will be another lull.

The Packer owner is in here now. Patience. UFFL...EDIT: If you have to leave, PM me your main pick with a writeup and a backup pick in case UFFL takes him.

Green Bay Packers biggest needs: DL, LB, CB, QBAfter taking care of our #1 need by drafting DE Pollack in the 1st round, we move to the next position of need which is LB and see another Georgia Bulldog available. Packers select Odell Thurman LB Georgia. He'll play inside linebacker and allow Nick Barnett to move to the outside where he played at Oregon St. This move will also get Navies off the field. Thurman will bring a lot of toughness to the position and is a good tackler.

I like that pick, UFFL. I thought Thurman would be off the board by now. Good addition to the defense and with all the 2nd-tier QBs still left, you can afford to wait.My pick for the Jags is DeMarcus Ware, DE/OLB Troy.He may be a bit of a reach here, but his stock is rising. The Jaguars had trouble rushing the passer last year and Ware looks like the best one available here. It may be that Ware is more ideally suited for a 3-4 than the 4-3 the Jaguars run, but I don't think they will have any problems using him for pass rush. He should be a huge upgrade in that capacity even if he's something less than an everydown player.I also considered here: Morency (best player available theory), Marcus Johnson, McFadden and Perkins.

LOL! i just wrote up ware as my steal of the draft at OLB if falls to 4th or 5th OLB taken, guess you made sure that didnt happen. this kid is gonna be a monster OLB somewhere - he's one of the few that can take a QBs head off AND pursue RBs sideline to sideline.

And I was really hoping he'd last to the Chargers pick.

My vote for Seattle is Marion Barber III....
cadillac fell to them in round 1, so that is out of the question.i vote for barrett ruud, LB, nebraska - immediate impact in the weak seattle LB corps.
