I'll second the pick of LB Barrett Rudd. Good choice.
Third.I'll second the pick of LB Barrett Rudd. Good choice.
I agree they could go with that here. How high are they on Niko? He was a rookie last year at MLB out of Purdue. Maybe they could move Niko or Ruud outside. I will also throw out CJ Mosley DT Missouri as a possibility.cadillac fell to them in round 1, so that is out of the question.i vote for barrett ruud, LB, nebraska - immediate impact in the weak seattle LB corps. My vote for Seattle is Marion Barber III....
Bloom .... I like where you went with the Giants. If Mitchell shakes off that injury it'll be the second straight year the G-Men get a quality player who might've slipped due to a college injury (Jamar Taylor - 04). The closer we get to this draft the better I feel about the Giants giving up the first rounder for Eli. This 05 Draft Class just doesn't seem to be nearly as loaded as last years.this mock is still accomplishing what it should, which is giving all of us a chance to get familiar with all the key players for the draft. once the "real" mock starts after the super bowl, we will produce a much better product.

Nice pick dumb ####:Fracture ends Tide OT's Senior Bowl week... Alabama OT Wesley Britt suffered a hairline fracture on one of his legs during this morning's South team practice at the Senior Bowl. The injury is not believed to be serious, however, Britt obviously won't play in Sunday's game, but does hope to be healthy in time for next month's combines. Thanks for taking care of my pick while I was gone pgreenfan! With their pick in the 2nd round, the Bears select Alabama's behemoth 6'7" 315 lb OT Wesley Britt. The kid has greet height, but needs to add some bulk to his frame. He will battle it out with Marc Colombo for the offensive right tackle spot, with John Tait swapping over to start at left tackle. He's proven to be a road grader in college, but needs to work on his pass protection. With Braylon Edwards and Wesley Britt, the Bears have filled two need positions. It was tough to pass up on OLB Kevin Burnett, as he would have been an AWESOME addition to fil the Bears lone week spot on defense, their OLB position beside Urlacher and Lance Briggs. But the Bears could acquire Tommy Polley in free agency, as he played (and flourished) under Lovie Smith in St. Louis.*** Chicago Bears Second Round Pick *** ORT Wesley BrittJohn Tait would be shifted to OLT this offseason, and Britt will battle Marc Colombo for the starting job.I am sure Grid will add to this later but wanted to get the pick in for him. Thanks

i think williams went back to school. This is a tough pick with all the speculation and rumors going on with the Ravens making a moves for Moss.
With Baxter as a potential free agent and Deion not getting any younger I think CB is a need for the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens select , Antonio Perkins , CB Oklahoma.
With physical CB's being less effective in the NFL now I chose Perkins over Va Tech's Jimmy Williams, who could be great but is more physical and still new to the CB position. Perkins can play well in space and has great makeup speed which helps because he does occasionally gamble. His punt return skills could keep him around the NFL for a long time as well as his athleticsism. Although he is thin, 6' 185, an NFL weight program should allow him to fill out.

They definitely need a LB...If they were going to go offense, I could see Chris Henry, WR, WVU.Are we going with Rudd for the Seattle pick?
I second Chris Henry. I wanted him for the Cowboys over Roddy White and think he is great value at this point. They definitely need a LB...If they were going to go offense, I could see Chris Henry, WR, WVU.Are we going with Rudd for the Seattle pick?
Rice isn't getting any younger and is anyone really still holding out hope for Koren Robinson ever making anything of himself? Darrell Jackson could use some help on the other side..
Picking up Cadillac and Chris Henry would be a nice coup for the offense!
My vote is for Henry. They can get a LB later..
Doubt, they take Henry to replace Robinson, seems to me like trading one headcase for another. I think they go LB or DL here. They can get a WR later. Go with RuudI second Chris Henry. Great pick. And I think you have a good shot at getting him here on draft day.Buffalo Bills select TE Alex Smith, Stanford
Very easy choice, but I'd be surprised if he lasts this long on draft day. The Bills TE corps was decimated by injuries late last season, making this perhaps the most glaring need on the team (pending the status of LT Jonas Jenning and DT Pat Williams in FA). Smith provides great value here, and I didn't think the talent available at LT or DT was worthy of this pick.
Smith is an NFL-ready TE who should be able to contribute right away. He had a huge senior season for the Cardinal, catching 52 passes for 706 yards and 3 TDs. He's got great size at 6'5", 255lbs, and is a very good athlete that should be able to make plenty of plays in the short passing game. He doesn't have elite speed for a TE, but he's quick enough that he should pose matchup problems for most LBs, and his size and jumping ability will make him a valuable weapon in the red zone. Like most TEs entering the league, blocking is not his strong suit, but he's got a frame that should allow him to add some weight without sacrificing too much quickness, and he's a very coachable player and hard worker who should be able to learn quickly.
He's got NFL bloodlines as his father played DE for the Broncos back in the 70s. He also has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, which could help him to quickly improve his blocking technique once he gets to the pros. While in high school, in addition to being one of the top TE recruits in the country, he was also a star basketball player, and competed in both the 400m and high jump events for the track team.
The Bills are already loaded on defense. This pick adds to what is looking like an extremely promising young core of skill position players on offense: QB JP Losman, RB Willis McGahee, WR Lee Evans, TE Alex Smith.
Actually no .... taking nothing away from Big Ben's season, I'm very happy the Giants got Eli. I like Rivers too but he wouldn't have been a good fit for NY. They don't run a West Coast offense and I think Rivers needs to play in one to be successful. FWIW .. I don't think the Giants finish with a better record this season had Ben started those same games that Eli did.You probably would have felt even better if the Giants had just drafted Big Ben and kept their draft picks.Bloom .... I like where you went with the Giants. If Mitchell shakes off that injury it'll be the second straight year the G-Men get a quality player who might've slipped due to a college injury (Jamar Taylor - 04). Can't argue with that. And I'd even go out on a limb and say Eli could have led the Stillers to the playoffs.Actually no .... taking nothing away from Big Ben's season, I'm very happy the Giants got Eli. once the giants let eli work from a limited playbook (which the steelers did from day one with ben), he looked fine.Actually no .... taking nothing away from Big Ben's season, I'm very happy the Giants got Eli. He's been gone a while now.I went ahead and PMd the Jets cause I think Nuclear George will be back soon...
nice pick Blue Peep from the stand point that he's fallen quite a bit and he's a player who should fit in well with the Jets defensive scheme. He's physical and has been on a tackling vendetta at the Senior Bowl practices from the sound of it.I could be mistaken but I think he was touted a year ago as a potential 1st rounder but didn't have a spectacular senior season.Well, with the Gallery SCREAMING for a CB - The NY Jets select:
Bryant Mcfadden CB Fla St
Drooling as TE Alex Smith fell, it didn't quite work out - Antonio Perkins was also on the radar as was Green.... Saw some reports that questioned Green's attitude though - any insight on that? Knowing how Herm and the Jets are looking for "Good Guys" and FOOTBALL PLAYERS - I'm not so sure about the reports about him as well as Marlin Jackson.
I knew it was coming. The Green Bay Packers select Charlie Frye QB AkronI'll post a writeup in a couple hours.
Doesn't he play 2nd base for the Marlins and steal about 30 bases a year? With their 2nd round selection, the Atlanta Falcons select DT Luis Castillo; Northwestern.
With the probable retirement of the yeoman like Ed Jasper, the Falcons are faced again with having to replenish their D-Line. While Chad Lavalais will more than likely step into Jasper's strating role, the key for the Falcons is to keep their defensive front as fresh as possible as they are undersized.
Castillo can provide depth in Year 1 and has some very intriguing raw tools with which to work. His athletism, strength and smarts should serve him well in Atlanta.
