You have Ryan but that is selling Stafford very low IMO.

I think you guys are right that I did sell low. But if I can win the league with Morris as my #2, think it will be worth it. If not, might be saying DOH!

Not a part of this one, has a few leaguemates in an uproar. Mostly FBG league, 1-2-3-1-flex 12team PPR:

RG3

for

Robert Turbin + Kendall Wright + 2013 1st + 2013 2nd (both picks quite possibly from a playoff team)

12 team .5 PPR 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, te, flex league

Team A Gives: Tom Brady and Lesean McCoy

Team B Gives: Ponder, Donald Brown, Amendola, two 2013 first rd picks (one early, one late) and a 2013 second round pick

What?
Team A needed a full on rebuild.
So they traded away Shady McCoy?
You gotta start somewhere I guess. This team is in a several year rebuild mode. I got McCoy, so I'm not complaining.

When you make trades like that it takes several years to rebuild.

I don't know about in an uproar, but I'd definitely be upset if I was in that league. Mostly at myself for not realizing that the RG3 owner was apparently ripe for the plucking. This is why you never assume- if you like a guy, always ask what it'd take.

95% of the time, I agree. Teams are rarely as hopeless as they look on paper. The one time I might make an exception is if there's a Peterson/Calvin/Richardson talent lurking right around the corner in the rookie draft, in which case Shady is good enough to take you out of contention all by himself. Of course, there is no such prospect waiting in the wings in 2013.

Critique please:

Team A:

AJ Green

Cobb

L Miller

Team B

Nicks

Dez

Team A already has Calvin and Julio. Now has Green to go with.

Team B needed young WR depth.

I have a difficult time with the trades where one side is in re-build mode and they give up a young talent. Usually you trim the fat, but keep the core to have any success at rebuilding.

Team A Gets:

Minnesota Vikings TM MIN

Brandon Myers TE OAK

2013 5th round pick

2013 1st round pick

Team B gets:

Houston Texans TM HOU

Jonathan Stewart RB CAR

2013 5th round pick

2013 4th round pick

Basically a 1st (from a 4-0 team) for Stewart. Houston is a strong defense, the other picks involved are all late, and Myers is intriguing. But it's really late first for Stewart. Team A is 1-3.

Someone commented on the Miller for Gresham trade above (I think ) The team that inloaded Gresham also has Rudolph and Bennett at tight end so I.doubt Gresham would ever crack.his starting lineup

Made another trade to acquire Morris. Is my homerism killing my PPR dynasty teams?

I gave: MJD, R.Jennings, Little

I got: Morris, Sproles, Mike Williams

Updated Roster:

RG3, Vick

Rice, Morris, Sproles, Hunter, Rainey

Steve Smith, Wayne, D. Moore, Mike Williams, Hawkins, Jeffery, Randle, Stokely, Nate Washington

Cook, Tamme, Cameron

Since we start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 flex at rb/wr/te, I felt that being able to start Morris and Sproles over MJD would actually benefit my team. Plus at this point, I think Mike Williams > Little (can you teach a WR to NOT drop the ball?)

My post was more about 10 other trades I have seen in this thread. I happen to think at some point Miller is going to be worth much more than Gresham.

Tough call, but I like the RG3 side. The huge upgrade over Vick is worth overpaying.

I made the following trade/re-trade the past 10 days

Trade 1

Team A gave

Dez Bryant

Team B gave

Demarco Murray

Trade 2

Team A gave

Matt Schaub

Crabtree

Team B gave

Jake Locker

Dez Bryant

I would be team A in both the deals. I was happy to unload Dez, didn't really want him back but thought the deal was too good to pass up. Team B has a very good team and needed a QB. Dez couldn't start for him and right now Murray couldn't either.

Team A gives:

Brandon Marshall

Bryce Brown

2013 1st round pick

Team B gives:

Percy Harvin

San Francisco Defense

Background: The league is yardage heavy (1 pt per 5 yards), and offers very minor bonuses for returns (Harvin's returns have historically been worth an extra 150/1.5 receiving a year). Team B wanted Brown to handcuff his McCoy because he is ridiculously shallow at RB. Team A had a stacked roster (Brees, Rice, Charles, Fitz, Marshall, Austin, Gronk), but the league uses performance scoring and he'd already lost two games this season after his defense put up -20 points; the first should be late. It's a deep league with 28/32 defenses currently rostered.

I wasn't sure it was vague, thanks for the thoughts on the trade though

12 team qb/2rb/2wr-te/1flex .5ppr 20 man rosters + IR, can hold 14

Team A gave Heyward-Bey

Team B gave Steven Jackson

Team C offered Cutler + Dez to Team D for Stafford...rejected

12 team PPR dynasty

I gave:

D. Moore

I got:

Garcon

I can afford to bench him until he's 100% healthy so I took a chance on him.

Busy week in this league.

16 Team PPR Dynasty(QB, 2RB, 2WR, Flex, TE) with 11 IDP starters

LeSean McCoy for Doug Martin, Antonio Brown

Jeremy Maclin, Stephen Hill for Hakeem Nicks

Don't like the first trade at all, in my dynasty league the trade was Martin, Harvin, Rudolph and a 2nd round pick for MccoyI actually like the Maclin side betterI don't do IDP so not sure, I would say I like the BJGE sideNeutral on this one I like Brown and Smith a lot.

12 Team PPR. 1QB 2RB 2WR 1FLEX 1TE with 6 points for passing TD's.

Team A Gave:

Jay Cutler

Larry Fitzgerald

2013 1st rounder (As it stands low to mid)

2014 1st rounder (late)

Team B Gave:

Robert Griffin III

That's a lot to give up in a 4 point passing TD league, let alone 6 points. I love Griffin but he hasn't even got to the tough part of his schedule yet. Great sell high by Team B.

Not involved. Ugh. :wall:

12 Team PPR

Team A gets:

Philip Rivers QB SD

Austin Pettis WR STL

2013 2nd round

2013 3rd round

Team B gets:

Robert Griffin QB WAS

How is this thread allowed to stay in this forum? It seems that every other trade thread is quickly moved so as not to cause the "thread police" to get worked up.

Just trying to understand what constitutes an acceptable trade thread in the Shark Pool.

Threads asking for advice on how to run your team get moved to the Assistant Coach forum, a forum dedicated to getting advice on how to run your team. This is not a thread to get advice on how to run your team, so it doesn't belong in the ACF. This thread consists of trades that have already been completed (so any advice would hardly be timely). Many of these trades do not even involve the poster's team (so any advice would be misdirected). Instead, this thread belongs in the Shark Pool, where player values are discussed in broad, general, universal, non-team-specific ways.

ok just some Chris Johnson sales to compare (traded after the 141yd effort but before yesterday)

wasn't concerned about any positions in return, just trying to get something whether he turns it around or not as a Titan fan I am tired of the double whammy of fan hurt and fantasy team hurt so i had to cut it down to just the fan hurt - it really sucks to see him bounce the 7yd gain through a decent hole outside for a -2yd loss

/disclaimer/ - i am really high on Hillman and LMiller

LEAGUE 1 - PPR dynasty and I have the worst or second worst roster in league

Chris Johnson and Darius Reynaud for Jake Locker and Lamar Miller

LEAGUE 2 - .33 PPR dynasty (defense scoring is X = -X points given up so VERY serious to start the right defense each week) and I have best roster in league

Chris Johnson and Carolina DST for Ronnie Hillman and Giants DST

LEAGUE 3 - PPR contract (can franchise tag 2 players each yr whose contract has run out and give them a 4yr) and I have best roster in league

Chris Johnson 1yr left and Jeremy Maclin 2yrs for Torrey Smith 4yrs and Robert Housler 4yrs

12 Team PPR with Developmental Picks

Team A got:

Trent Richardson

Leonard Hankerson

Team B got:

Jonathan Stewart

Marques Colston

Michael Crabtree

2013 1st (late)

2013 Devy pick (late)

12 team PPR dynasty. Sick of Chris Johnson, nearly gave him away.Gave: CJ, Stephen HillGot: Garcon
Oof.
I don't think Johnson will ever be start worthy again. Just my opinion. And I like Garcon a lot more than Hill. I also don't need Chris Johnson to rot on my bench when I've got Charles, Morris, Stewart, Ingram, etc.
The "oof" was more about Hill than Johnson. But them together...yikes.

Well Hill wouldn't have cracked my lineup with Calvin, Julio, Wallace, T.Smith, D.Moore, Garcon, and Hawkins in front of him. But yeah, he got nice value. I'm counting on some FF trade Karma coming my way ;)

FYP. Some might sugges that Crabtree helps even the deal because it's PPR - but Richardson is going to be a 3 down back who will also catch a ton of passes (he is already tied for 3rd amoung RBs in targets - and his coaching staff is trying to get him more involved in the passing game). Team A got a stud - Team B got a bunch of decent (but less talented) players. In dynasty, I usually like to see who got the best player. Richardson is better than all the others - and it's not really that close. If all the players in this deal live up to their potential, Team A destroyed this deal.

Agree that A got a great deal, but strongly disagree with your last sentence. If all the players in this deal live up to their potential, then Stewart will be every bit as productive as Richardson, and Team B will wind up with a Colston/Crabtree/2 pick kicker. Team A's guys are more likely to hit their upside, but if we're talking about pure, unadulterated upside/potential, team B's package is huge.
