Agreed, interested to see Lacy run at his pro day.Lattimore turned down an invite to the Presidential Inauguration in order to stay with Dr. James Andrews and continue his rehab. If that's not impressive, i'm not sure what is
Lacy's 40 time will be very interesting. I think he is faster than Mark Ingram, but it might not translate to a 40 time, as his 10 yard split won't measure up. I wouldn't be surprised by anything in the 4.5-4.65 range. But I think he's plenty fast to break runs in the NFL, much like Foster and Martin. There isn't a guy I'm more pulling for than Lattimore. It was awful watching him with the towel over his head and seeing his mom react.

Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock

03:46 – Mike Mayock and Scott Pioli join "NFL Total Access" to talk about the 2013 NFL Draft and the lack of top-end talent for the Kansas City Chiefs at the first overall pick.
There's a bunch of top end talent. Just not the talent they really need.Teams that run a 3-4 defense that don't need a left tackle are in a bind when the #1 spot doesn't offer the QB they DO need.

I say with the new rookie wage scale they take Warmack, probably the best player in the draft, and be done with it.

Wisconsin RB Montee Ball's official NFL Combine weigh-in was 5-foot-10 1/2 and 214 pounds.Oklahoma State RB Joseph Randle measured 6-foot-0 and 204 poundsStanford RB Stepfan Taylor's Combine weigh-in was 5-foot-9 1/8 and 214 pounds.Michigan State RB Le'Veon Bell measured 6-foot-1 3/8 and 230 poundsWest Virginia WR Stedman Bailey measured in at 5'10 and 1/4 inches and 193 pounds Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson measured in at 6'1 and 7/8 inches and 216 pounds

Surprised that Bell is so light at that height. Tells me he's probably in better shape than he was during the season, when he looked heavier than that. Patterson shorter than listed, but also heavier than I thought he'd be relative to his height. Not the worst thing for a catch-and-run receiver. On paper he is actually built like Crabtree, although they look totally different on the field and in terms of how they play.

There was a link around that Bell speciafally lost weight for the combine and was probably at least 10 pounds heavier during the season.

As long as his forty is not north of 4.7 it's a non story.

He needs to put on some muscle.
Yea, that is surprisingly thin. I'm surprised that he's 20 pounds less than Patterson. Especially given his height advantage. You never quite know what you're going to get until these guys tip the scales. Last year I could've sworn Blackmon would be 215-220 and he only came in at 207.

According to NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, "everybody" in the league has Florida DT Sharrif Floyd graded as a top-five player in the 2013 draft.

Jeremiah explained that there wasn't much early buzz on Floyd because he was an underclassman and league personnel men hadn't had a chance to watch his tape. They have now. "He's a special pass rusher," said Jeremiah. "You put him in a three-technique, he's capable of getting you double-digit sacks."
Dang, I knew in my last mock that I had him way too low. Now I'm thinking he could even go to the Jags at #2.
Draft insider Tony Pauline says FSU T Menelik Watson is getting a lot of first-round mentions from teams.
I'm just copy/pasting from Rotoworld, but they're doing a nice job with the updates.

Blackmon did come in at 215 at his Pro Day.

Good numbers for Patterson, Hopkins, Patton, and Rogers. Hunter shockingly thin. Allen and Wilson a bit light as expected. Harper is huge. Heavy as a RB. I still say some team will take Marcus Davis higher than expected. Absolute animal of a physical specimen. Doesn't translate to the field, but he's the one guy in this class who looks like a Pro Bowler in shorts and a t-shirt. Someone is going to look at the raw parts and think they can mold him into a player. Looking at the RBs, Spencer Ware and Eddie Lacy are way up the scale from a BMI standpoint. Two solid backs right there. Taylor, Bernard, and Michael are also at good weights for their height. For that matter, most of the prospects on that list are in the ballpark of what I'd consider ideal. That doesn't really reflect distribution of weight though, as guys like Knile Davis, Cierre Wood, and Marcus Lattimore don't have the lower body strength that their numbers would suggest IMO.

Buy your 2013 firsts now while everyone hates this draft. Hype is about to hit.
I don't think the draft is stud-heavy this year, but it's deep. You could see some pretty strong prospects falling into the 20s of this year's rookie drafts IMO.

I agree. I traded 1.02 for 1.05 and 1.07 in one of my leagues (also have 1.10). Not a top heavy draft at all, but quite a few guys I like. I'm going quantity over quality with 1st round picks this year in the leagues I have roster room for. Could be a great year to build on the cheap by collecting later 1sts and 2nds.

Fluker was terrible in the agility drills. Like, surprisingly awful. For whatever it's worth. Better have massive strength and arm technique,I know nothing about what it takes to play tackle. But, to whatever degree this is an important drill in predicting success at the next level, this was eye-openingly bad.

Sounds like a guard or RT

FWIW, DJax was +4.7. Anything above +3 is pretty good.
What is Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin?
Bailey is off the chart -- in too good to be true territory. No idea what that suggests for him in the NFL yet. Will be some guesswork on him since there aren't any/many good comps. Also waiting to see if he's 69.5" or 70.25" and what he runs. A smaller Golden Tate might be about right.I think Austin's like Percy Harvin -- where the traditional measures don't tell you very much. It's going to be all about the scheme and if a team is willing to use him in a hybrid back/slot role. Guys like him and obvious developmental guys Patterson I'm not very good with.

DJ Fluker was doing an interview with Matt "Money" Smith and Bucky Brooks on the NFL.com Combine Live feed and I think he said something about as a tackle he's watching the safeties, did I hear that right? He is a bit hard to understand when he talks.
