I guess the problem is/was that I don't see any rankings on that page. This is all I see on that page:
Now that the January All Star Game circuit is in the rear view mirror, we have been able to adjust our Top 200 to reflect what we saw during this games. It is vital to not change player's grades drastically due to their performance in these games, but these games are a great tool for breaking ties and evaluating small school prospects against better competition. Additionally, now that the deadline has passed for underclassmen to enter the 2013 NFL Draft we have removed those players we had on the list that choose not to come out early and have included many of those that did make the jump on this list. There are some lesser known underclassmen that will be added to this list as we have had the chance to thoroughly evaluate them.
Sorry for the confusion.

I'm sorry for the confusion too! Strange it isn't loading. So you aren't able to see Russ Lande's rankings which he posted yesterday (2-5-13)?

Allen, Patterson, Austin are looking like 1st round locks. I'm going to stand by my prediction that there will be one more.
Hunter, Woods, Wheaton, Robinson... the way this group is shaping up there are going to be at least four.
I'm not sure how many actually get drafted in the 1st but this is shaping up to have the most WR's drafted in the first two rounds. Seems like a great year to skip WR in the 1st and take one in the 2nd.

If there is another one, then I think it's Woods. He looked smooth yesterday and has pretty solid tape as well. You may be right here. The WRs are shaping up to be better than I thought.

Next year's class looks a lot better than this year's imo. Marquise Lee and Sammy Watkins are both better than any WR in this draft class, and Mike Evans (Texas A&M), and Sean Price (Appalachian State) also look like potential 1st round prospects.
Who's that big kid from Alabama? Will he be able to come out?
Amari Cooper? He's only 6'1", and no he will only be a true Sophomore next year.
Marquise Lee also only 6'1

I really don't think this draft class is all that great, still. Sure, guys are emerging around combine time, but what year does that not happen? last year it was Stephen Hill etc.Certainly a lot of WR2s in this draft, but there isn't 1 WR in this class that I see even being a top 16 NFL WR. I feel like we need to keep things in perspective and look at these WRs compared to other NFL WRs, rather than just the guys in this class. regardless, this class still isn't even close to 2009, not even close.

right now, this class is nowhere near 2009... but that doesn't mean it can't get there.i have about 15 WRs that i would consider drafting in dynasty. Last year that number was about 10. I think this is a deep draft, but there is no stand out WR1 (defined as Top 12 WR for FF). Some have the physical talent to be a stud for their respective team, but we all know situation is a huge factor that will dictate success.FF Owners try to figure out value relative to Rookie picks (and we all know there is a barrister saying "it depends" somewhere in this Message Board)... but i would take Blackmon over every WR in this class. So the lowest that would be is the 1.03. Floyd, Wright and Gordon are a tier lower, but all worth a mid round 1st since they have had a modicum of success at the NFL level already. I'm sure everyone has their favorite rookie WR that they would consider trading one of the 2012 rookies for.Point being the 2013 class is deep with good, not great, talent. Combine showed that there is speed out there. The game is transitioning more and more to a passing (and spread and no huddle) offense.Quick look at the passing numbers in the past 4 years.Number of teams with more than 600 passing attempts2012 9 (DET, NO, DAL, NE, OAK, IND, PHI, ATL, and ARI)2011 32010 42009 2Number of teams with more than 550 passing attempts2012 182011 152010 132009 13So the "target pie" is bigger now than in 2009. That's good.Haven't looked at the numbers to see if the benefit is the #1 WR, or the #2 and #3 WR (doubt TE or RB). Baring an injury, none of the Top 9 teams listed above will have a rookie lead the team in targets.Blackmon had 132 last year and was force fed during the last month (Wright had 104, Gordon 95 and Hilton 90). Based on talent and potential situation, right now i can't see any of the 2013 rookies getting 132 targets in 2013. Maybe KC if Bowe doesn't come back.So we need to use caution that any 2013 rookie will have an immediate impact... but i would rather stash a rookie WR on my bench than an aging RB

Marquise Lee also only 6'1
"Big kid". Amari Cooper isn't a "big kid".

right now, this class is nowhere near 2009... but that doesn't mean it can't get there.i have about 15 WRs that i would consider drafting in dynasty. Total passing attempts2012 177882011 174102010 172692009 170332008 165262007 170452006 163892005 164642004 163542003 164932002 172922001 16181The trend league wide has certainly been an increase in pass attempts almost every season for the past decade. I did find it interesting that pass attempts jumped to similar levels in 2002 as they were in 2010. That was the 1st time pass attempts were higher than 17000 ever. Based on the current trend of the past 4 seasons 1700 looks like a floor expectation moving forward. The targets are trickier to figure out and I do not have that data in front of me but I recall the last time I looked into it targets to TE increased the most out of the WR TE RB groups. I am putting some target data together now as I am curious if that trend continued or not the past 4 years.I think the increased passing is partly why so many teams are switching to a 3-4 defense. Both of these things together is putting a premium on quality LB who can cover and I am noticing more safeties being converted to LB in college as well.

Allen, Patterson, Austin are looking like 1st round locks. I'm going to stand by my prediction that there will be one more.
Im going to :goodposting: you so you dont have too and because I agree with your opinion in this thread. Way to stand your ground. I think you were on the money.
If there is another one, then I think it's Woods. He looked smooth yesterday and has pretty solid tape as well. You may be right here. The WRs are shaping up to be better than I thought.
Gotcha, So I assume in 2009 you pegged Harvin that avg 1.10 Wallace thar was late 2nd would be top talents. Nicks was 1.5 at best Maclin 1.8 and britt 1.11Musta really cleaned house that year.Bottom line. No one was considered elite besides Crabtree and he's been awful till second half of this year. Guys like Patterson has the tools to be as good as anyone in that draft, a gut like woods could easily become better wr then Maclin or Wallace.None of will know till they hit the pros

Agreed, I think this year will set a record with having the most ever WR's taken in the first 2 rounds of the NFL draft. WR's taken in the first two rounds are expected to be starters....some will only be average, some will rise to be stars, some will never make it....but when all is said and done, this year will be a GREAT year for FF WR's. We will know this is true 3 years from now. While all you guys are drafting RB's this year in your rookie drafts, I will be drafting WR as often as I can! Last year I was fortunate with trades to end up with TRich, Martin, and Wilson in one league.....passing on Blackmon and Floyd. Last year was the year of the RB! This year is the year of the WR!

Maybe they were going so late because there were so many good players in that rookie classI'm not talking about results whatsoever... I'm talking about the type of talent and the type of talk around the prospects around draft time...

Nice job with the condescending sarcasm though, it really works for you.

Nicks, Britt, Harvin , Maclin , Crabtree, Heyward Bey...

there were 6 first round picks, Ironically the one with the least amount of hype was Heyward Bey.

obviously all these(2013) guys COULD become superstars and make that draft class look horrible, but the respective skill sets, projected draft ranking and overall hype of this class is not even close to 2009, I don't understand how this is debatable

Do me a favor, go back an educate yourself on what was being said about these guys by scouts inc ect. In 2009 Your out of your element here and sound silly.Guys like Patterson have a higher draft grade today post combine then nicks britt Wallace ect had at the same time.

You said maybe they were going so late because there was soo many good players. In that draft. Lol again go educate yourself on that draft class before making this silly statement. It isn't true. Crabtree and Maclin were the big talent names. Nicks went before Maclin in fantasy drafts because giants had just lost Toomer and Burres.

And being that draft class being so untouchable by this class. How many times have these guys finished to 10?? 6 wrs over 3 years... Educate yourself one last time please.

No sarcasm here either

Hmm well I wish Carl would make it more clear how he sees the 2009 WR class being similar to the 2013 WR class.I just want to say that some of our perceptions of the quality of a draft may be influenced by FF. That is not the same thing as the relative quality of players in each draft class. The 2013 draft offers so many quality defensive linemen is what I think makes it special compared to other draft prospects we have seen over the past 5 years. It is greatly needed as well because of the increased passing in the league. I also think the 2013 draft class is deep at the safety position. As far as the WR go 2009 was a good year for FF WR prospects. Not the best WR crop by any means but it did have 6 1st round picks used on the position.1 7 Darrius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland Oakland Raiders1 10 Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech San Francisco 49ers1 19 Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri Philadelphia Eagles1 22 Percy Harvin WR Florida Minnesota Vikings1 29 Hakeem Nicks WR North Carolina New York Giants1 30 Kenny Britt WR Rutgers Tennessee TitansDrafting DHB at 7 was a classic Count Chockula move reaching for speed at the WR position. I would not put a lot of stock into such a high selection of him. Crabtree as a prospect was talked about as being kind of like Blackmon last year. A my ball WR with good leaping ability and a large target area with good hands. He went with the 10th overall pick. I do not think he was rated as high as Blackmon but it is somewhat similar territory. The last 4 were not top half of the draft picks either. Harvin has turned out to be the best of the group but Nicks has been good as well. Britt has shown he could be very good if not for off the field issues. The 2013 draft at WR might look very much the same as 2009 if Blackmon were in this draft class. However at this time without the help of hindsight I see more viable WR in the 2013 class than I recall liking from 2009. However it is still early and I have not eliminated some guys yet from 2013. I know by draft day in 2009 I had already crossed Maclin off my list. I liked the other 5 here. I never much looked into Mike Wallace, who is a guy I missed. People were so down on DHB that I decided he was a value play despite the pick being an obvious reach. I do not think anyone would argue that DHB should have been drafted as a top 10 WR. He does have some talent however so I saw DHB as a good buy opportunity.2 36 Brian Robiskie WR Ohio State Cleveland Browns2 50 Mohamed Massaquoi WR Georgia Cleveland Browns3 82 Derrick Williams WR Penn State Detroit Lions3 83 Brandon Tate WR North Carolina New England Patriots3 84 Mike Wallace WR Mississippi Pittsburgh Steelers3 85 Ramses Barden WR Cal Poly-S.L.O. Austin is compared to Harvin quite a bit. Allen and Patterson might not be as highly regarded as Crabtree but they are pretty highly rated prospects. I also think there is more overall quality in the 2013 draft than there was in 2009. Didn't this draft set a new record for number of juniors declared?Anyhow interesting to think about.

wow, good post man

So what do people have to say now? I was being ripped relentlessly when I stated that this class was strong and that there would be 4 first round WR's. Now most mocks have caught up with what I was predicting, including Bloom's, having 4 WR's in the first.

The entire reason I made this post wasn't to state that the 2013 class will exaclty mirror the 2009 class. This post was to state that there are good WR's in this class and unique WR's in this class. More and more people are listing both Patterson and Austin as top 15 picks now. Allen and Hopkins as early 20's picks.

Let's hear it guys. I'm still stupid and know nothing, right? You all were telling me that this class has one 1st round WR and maybe two if we are lucky. Come'on, please tell me I'm stupid again!

Its proving to be quite strong and deep.

Keep coming down on that number. From everything I can tell, there are only 2 almost sure 1st rounders. Patterson and Allen. Maybe more get taken, but its a guess right now.
What information are you going off of? Just curious?I have a source that everyone else has as well. I was watching the Senior Bowl and the announcers were talking about the week and discussions they had with NFL scouts and team GM's during the entire week. This is basically what they said...."In normal years Terrance Williams of Baylor would be a 1st round pick, but this isn't a normal year. This draft class has FOUR underclassman WR's that are consensus 'slam dunk first round picks' coming directly from the mouths of scouts and GMs".

Again what are your sources? I am not a scout or a film watcher, but when I hear statements like I just posted above that came directly from scouts and GM's I listen up. Hopkins, Patterson, and Allen are all first rounders......Woods will likely sneak into the first as well.
Having someone "likely sneak into" the first round is very different than a "slam dunk first rounder". Based on the dozens of different scouting websites, I also am not certain that Hopkins is a slam dunk first rounder, either.
"Slam Dunks" were the GM and Scouts words per the announcers. 'Sneak in' were my words.....so what's your point? 4 first rounders are 4 first rounders!

I don't understand why people get so pissy about this stuff
:goodposting:
1. Lol at goodposting yourself.2. People were challenging it (not "getting pissy") because it runs contrary to just about everything that most people have read. I'm still more inclined to believe that the announcer was overstating/exaggerating. There might be four WRs in the first round this year (nobody expected Jenkins to be one last year), but I really don't believe that anyone outside of Patterson or Allen are definitely going to go there.
Care to change your statement?? :) There will be FOUR 1st rounders.

Who cares how many WRs (may) get drafted in the 1st round this year. The only one I like is DeAndre Hopkins.

I would easily put Nicks and Britt above anyone in this class. Patterson, Austin, and Allen are overrated.

is that what the crystal ball said? i think it's too early to be making this type of prediction. you reference mocks, most of which were pre free agency. look at the teams who needed WR's... alot of them made moves in FA for their WR's. it'll be interesting to see how things shake out.

When all is said and done TWO will go in round 1 and somebody will eat FOUR helpings of crow.
What to bet on it? I'm serious.....I'll put $50 on it. PM me! I'll be stealing!TWO or less, I'll pay you $50. Three, it's a draw. FOUR or more you pay me $50.

Who cares how many WRs (may) get drafted in the 1st round this year. The only one I like is DeAndre Hopkins.I would easily put Nicks and Britt above anyone in this class. Patterson, Austin, and Allen are overrated.
It's funny how full circle this thing has come. In January people said this class sucks....only 1 maybe 2 WR's worth taking in the first round. Now people are seeing 4 predicted and they are saying it's now overrated. The whole point of this thread is that they were underrated....now they are rated correctly. :)You are right though.....who cares how many first rounders? What matters is what they are doing 3 years from now. I think we will all be wishing we had a piece of this year's WR crop.I agree, I love Hopkins too. I also love Allen and Austin.......Patterson, I'm not too high on.

There is no doubt that this WR class has improved it's value as a whole over the past couple of months. Weather or not there will be 3 or 4 guys drafted in the 1st though? I have no idea. I'd say there are 2 slam dunks in Patterson and Austin. 2 other guys are very solid contenders in Allen and Hopkins. Then there are a slew of guys who are more along the lines of 2nd round talents but you never know; Patton, Williams, Woods, Hunter, Wheaton, Bailey and Rogers.

The biggest issue I have feeling comfortable in 4 guys going in the 1st is that several teams that were in dire need of WR help already addressed it via FA. Minn, Mia, Sea (trade not FA), KC (resigned Bowe) and NE. The only team I'm just about certain will come out of rd 1 with a WR is St. L, largely because they have both a huge need and 2 picks to burn.

From a fantasy perspective I'm still not very high on this class. I think it will offer some nice depth for rosters but few impact players. Patterson is the top rated guy for me. That is not because I am so enamored with him as a player, but because he is the guy I see most likely to be able to fill a true WR1 role in the NFL. I love Austin and understand why many have him ranked as the top WR. I just have a hard time doing so because I can't see him every being a WR1. In a perfect world he would end up like Harvin and get used in the same way by his team. Allen and Hopkins look like solid WR2 type guys to me. The group after that is where fantasy owners can hope to find fantasy gold IMO. I think there are guys in that group who could become potential WR1s but they just have a lot of questions around them.

3 83 Brandon Tate WR North Carolina New England Patriots3 84 Mike Wallace WR Mississippi Pittsburgh Steelers
Man, wallace is exactly the type of WR NE needs as the final piece IMO

Chachi, to be more specific....I'll even give you teams that these WR's are going to and likley going to.MY PREDICTIONS:

Teams 100% likely to draft WR in 1st round:

1) Vikings - two first round picks and still WR needy after Jennings signing

2) Rams - two firsts and WR needy

Teams 75% likely to draft WR in the 1st round:

1) Texans - moving on from Walter and Andre is at twilight of his career

2) Colts - Wayne at twilight of career and will want to get Wayne's predecessor soon

Teams 50% likely to draft WR in the 1st round:

1) Ravens - Lost Boldin. Will want to grab another solid WR in the draft to pair with speedster Smith

2) Patriots - in desparate need to start rebuilding their WRs

Go ahead an rip away, but there will be at least 4 WR's in the 1st drafted and these will be the teams involved.

NFL Mock Draft: Five wide receivers in round 1
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/mock-drafts/charley-casserly/170651

Charley has the WR going to

16 Rams - Patterson

17 Steelers - Austin

21 Bengals - Allen

24 Colts - Hunter

27 Texans - Woods

This would leave Patton and Hopkins still available for round 2 but both of these players are in top 5 lists like Mayocks. I would say it is shaping up to be a strong to possibly very strong draft. Maybe not ideal for fantasy purposes but there is a lot of talent here due in part to all the juniors that declared.
