And in 3 plays, SD is right where they would have been had we gone for it and failed. Sparano can go ahead and pack his ####### bags too.

Pressure mounting on GM Reggie McKenzie as Raiders keep losing

Ummm, and this is surprising to anyone? Success is measured in wins, and Reggie only has 4 over the past two seasons. Like Tommy boy said at the presser when they fired Allen, "Ya gotta win."

Here's a crazy thought, how about Bill Polish as the next GM?

Do you mean Bill Polian?

Serious question -- how many Raiders starters would be no question starters on any other team in the NFL?

Not many. Here's my count:

OFFENSE

Stefen Wisniewski

Marcel Reece (looking past the fact that not many teams utilize fullbacks as much these days)

DEFENSE

Khalil Mack

Sio Moore

Charles Woodson (maybe a stretch given age)

That's pretty much it.

Carr could certainly start on teams that are struggling with their starters or have rookies of their own that they are working with, but I don't think it's obvious he would be a better choice than Vick or Bridgewater or Mallett or Hill.

Penn has been more solid than I thought, but again, not a no-brainer starter elsewhere.

This is just one of the Raiders' many problems, but a pretty big one. This team took a step back from last year, and it's going to take even longer at this rate to put together a team of NFL caliber starters, let alone a competitive team that can get back in the hunt in their division.

I have no what the all time low is for yards per play for a season, but if this team does not set the record they have to be close.

LOL. yes, Bill Polian. But Bill Polish might even be an upgrade.

Seriously, we deserve hazard pay for watching this team every week.
wow, you are still watching? Why bother?
How will I know if progress is EVER being made?
Understood, but why put yourself through the aggravation? Just look at the box scores. If the offensive doesn't score at least 20 pts, then no progress. Quite honestly, I am surprised they are still selling out home games.

Shoulda stayed outside to play catch with my son instead of watching this sad 2nd half. Ugh.

At least Murray showed some spark in the running game. We'll see if the coaches dare risk these pivotal games in the hands of a young RB ;)

There is so much evidence that Olsen is in over his head. The failure to use Murray as the featured back is just one example. I couldn't help myself and tuned in to watch the Carr try to throw a dig route to Holmes at the end of the game. Just another example of the cluelessness of the staff.

Season can't end soon enough speaking as a Raider fan.

Bill Polish couldn't do any worse, lol.

I have been saying all season long. Especially when it was evident that the Raiders were going nowhere this season. That the Raiders should be giving the ball to Murray. I didn't understand why they kept on feeding Darren "3 yards or less" McFadden. I was literally banging my head against the desk. So frustrating. In a lost season why wouldn't you give some of your younger players more playing time to see what they can do because you already know what McFadden and MJD can't do.

Greg Olson: Derek Carr will be better when ‘surrounded by better players'

Way to throw everyone else under the bus to save your own sorry ###.

Of course, I remember that same thing said about David Carr. Took 5 years for them to figure out the rest of the team needed a QB. Once they get 'better players' they will come for you Greg Olsen saying that he needs better coaching.

Is it bad that my ONLY hope for this week is "Don't get embarrassed on national television." :(
well seeing that Jamal AND K.Davis will probably put up over 200 yards im guessing all hope is lost
Is it bad that, if KC were to ever score on us (as if! :) ), then I want it to be Jamaal to score for KC since I have him on 2 of my 4 fantasy teams?

That's the state of my Raider fandom over this past decade+...

I'm in the exact same boat. Own him in 2 leagues. Bittersweet if he scores, I guess.

Same here I own him in 2 leagues as well. I always hope to get my cake and eat it too. I hope for a Raiders win but for Charles to do well.

Well at least you will get half of what you are looking for.

I have the KC D. I am a long time Raider fan but hope the Raiders just continue being awful. I expect 4 sacks, 2 fumbles, 2 INTs, 6 points and a total of 220 yards.

The Raider organization does not care about its fans. Why should I care about it?

If Murray is not the starting RB this week, the whole staff needs fired at the season.

Luckily Chiefs don't blow people out and we're at home. Besides, MANY teams embarrassed in prime time this year.

<_< Well what else is Tommy boy gonna say at this point? No argument that Reggie had a solid draft last year, but his free agency strategy was an abysmal failure. If he is not fired at the season's end then it only cements my perspective that the Raiders will continue to be an also ran until Tommy boy sells the team.

"The deconstruction phase of that went very, very well. I think we're a pretty desirable place for someone that wants to come in and build."

Really it went well? back to back 4 win seasons? Tommy boy has a very strange definition of "well."

"I think we're in position to start moving forward"

At this point there is nowhere to go but up.
