I can't remember, how did people react when Halleys comet swung by?Into work? This should be a day of rest, our sabbath for the year.7 minutes after shift starts?
it may work out just fine. my issue with it, was from a decision making process. JV should have been tagged. it makes me leery of this off season. does wiz walk? All hints being equal I youth was worth it but it definitely worked out well and for significantly lessVeldheer and Houston weren't that big of losses. Bear fans were getting frustrated with Houston already and Penn has been just as good as Veldheer. Really the only thing Veldheer had on Penn is youth.Hayden, Allen, letting veldheer and Houston walk and Flynn and schaub are the biggest Reggie gaffs IMHO
Not having a coach is a problem. If the team shows some life down the stretch, maybe they can entice someone good to come in![]()
I agree with everything being equal going with youth is the better choice then, that being said having Veldheer here wasn't going to make a difference on a 1-10 team and like you said we saved significant money on a player that is giving us similar results in Penn. All hints being equal I youth was worth it but it definitely worked out well and for significantly lessVeldheer and Houston weren't that big of losses. I agree with that. I'm wondering how Wiz will be handled this offseason. I would think if he was a big priority for the team they would have singed him to an extension already, right?it may work out just fine. my issue with it, was from a decision making process. Hopefully we can add Latavius Murray to that last as well.Big Gabe and Carrie both expected to be ready to go next week.

acl tear?Question:
Let's say Latavius shows enough over the rest of the year that he looks like a potential lead back. Not necessarily tearing it up, but averages 4+ yards a carry the rest of the way.
Todd Gurley is available at the top of the 2nd round. Would my fellow Raider fans endorse drafting him?

exactly. and add on the acl. no wayWhen other teams seem to be rolling out 4+ round RBs, I find it hard to invest a top 2nd in an RB if Murray does perform well the rest of the season (4+ ypc).
That's what makes this year's RB situation even more frustrating...to have TWO old, washed up RBs rotating for the whole season instead of having younger, upside projects in those roster spots to build for the future...it seems like extremely short-sighted roster management. I mean, ONE old vet RB just in case, sure. But TWO? Ugh.
So, no, I don't think we should go RB at the top of the 2nd, even if it's Gurley (maybe he's the next TRich)
That's why he'd be available at the top of the 2nd, I am assuming.acl tear?Question:

No. They either need to go OT then WR or WR then OT. RB should not be on the radar that early.Question:

My preference would be WR then DL or DL then WR. The Raiders need a playmaker at WR and they need a big updgrade at DL. They have 12 sacks in 11 games on the year. DL in my opinion is a bigger need then OT.No. They either need to go OT then WR or WR then OT. RB should not be on the radar that early.Question:

Top of the 2nd round? In a heartbeat!Question:

I agree that they need DL but I think there is a ton more DL available then WR or OT in free agency. With all that cap space that seems like the place to go shopping. My preference would be WR then DL or DL then WR. The Raiders need a playmaker at WR and they need a big updgrade at DL. I disagree that 5 dayse ago RB was a major need. It is a need that is pretty easily filled (and may already be) and not, IMO, worth a 2nd round pick on a guy recovering from an ACL.I don't care at all about what position at what pick. It sounds obvious, but I care about getting good players. Let's say we stay where we are, and take Leo Williams, just for the sake of argument, as he seems to be the top candidate for us.
2nd round, I could make an argument for a WR, a FS, a MLB, LT, TE, CB, or another DE/DT.
But if Gurley is as good as advertised, what? We don't have room for him? The Raiders don't need Todd Gurley?
We need some 'special' on offense, whether it's WR, TE, or RB. Carr definitely need pass catchers that can hang onto the ball and make plays, I am on board with that.
But Gurley looks like a stud. It's one thing to get by with an Andre Ellington. it's another to add a Le'Veon Bell or Marshawn Lynch.
5 days ago, RB was a major need. I'm not sure it's been solved.
So, you're saying there's a chance?DA RAIDERS said:and for about 5 minutes it looked like sd and den were going to lose

top D line man
top WR
those are the first 2 picks I want the Raiders to make.
That said, I don't follow college ball in the slightest so I have no clue if there is a first-overall talent at D line in this draft....
about it. How about we take a special offensive player for once?
