To be fair, his performance in the U-19 world championships last summer (2013) was against real competition. (The European teams were full of kids 2 years older than him, most of whom had been playing pro ball for 3 or 4 years) He posted a PER north of 40. And that was before he got himself into shape.Wait until a player actually does something against real competition before anointing him POTY? I'd be shocked if he isn't at least a 2nd team all American. IMO, first team is pretty likely. Some guys are just special. He's one of them. If he's making the 15 footers he was making the other night (A part of his game I hadn't seen before in roughly a dozen viewings) he comes completely unguardable at the college level.
