**2015 MLB Season Thread: This is how the chapter ends (2 Viewers)

One of these days, Brett Gardner will get to first base faster while diving rather than running through the bag.
It's such a fundamental thing that I don't understand how anyone does it other than trying to avoid a tag that pulls the 1B off the bag.

Then again, I really wonder how much fundamentals ever get taught to this generation of players. Just swing the bat, Homer.

Mark Melancon is so good he even strikes out his teammates

Mark Melancon retired the Cubs in order to pick up his third save of the season in Thursday's win over the Cubs.

Melancon's velocity was still low, but the Cubs were ineffective nevertheless. The right-hander struck out Jordy Mercer and Sean Rodriguez, then got Francisco Cervelli to pop out to end the game. Melancon got a vote of confidence from manager Clint Hurdle on Thursday, a day after melting down in the ninth inning. However, fantasy owners will want to continue monitoring Melancon's velocity and the bullpen situation in Pittsburgh as the calendar turns to May.

Of all the snake oil salesmen out there in the fantasy world, Rotoworld would be the last one that received my money. Absolute clown college they're running over there.

My favorite so far this year:

D.J. LeMahieu's first homer was a two-run shot off Zack Greinke on Saturday.

The typically light-hitting LeMahieu is batting .463 over his first 41 at-bats of 2015. It hasn't moved him up in the Rockies order, so he's still irrelevant outside of NL-only leagues. Apr 19 - 1:21 AM

Guy hitting .463 3 weeks in = irrelevant. :lmao:

GB him

Yeah they're pretty much the worst thing ever, but can't pin this one on them. Unless it was revenge for that dad and son who beat up the Royals first base coach.

Ventura has had four starts this year...

Left start one after a thumb cramp

Left start two after a leg cramp

Ejected from start 3

Ejected from start 4

The Royals are the biggest bunch of #####es.

Seriously - Ventura is mad that someone hit a ground ball to him?

#### the Royals.

damn shame this Ventura punk doesn't come up to bat because he deserves one between the numbers.
Cliff notes?
Adam Eaton hit soft one-hopper to Ventura. As Ventura threw to 1st, he said eff you to Eaton.

Benches cleared.
eaton talked #### first. Samardzja went after Cain after hitting him in game 1.

End of day recap: Royals win pale hoes still under .500

This may be the worst lineup Ive ever seen. :yucky: Marlins gotta be easy money tonight.
The Marlins kinda suck though.
Update?
Phillies are going to win 50 games and they're not going to trot out a lineup much better than that all season.
Cmon... Frenchy, Ceasar, Rupp and Blanco wouldnt even be on any other roster in MLB and McGowan was just spot-starting. The Phils suck, but even they have upgrades over this dreck.
