I don't like him but I'm starting him anyway. I figure if I don't play him against Texas and Houston, why bother keeping him on the roster.Do we like Taijuan tonight?

Just trying to start the games an hour earlier in April when the weather tends to be colder. Since the game probably still will last 4+ hours even with the new rules. What's the deal with 6:15 starts in Boston?
Weather is a concern tonight. I think I'm staying away.Eephus said:I don't like him but I'm starting him anyway. I figure if I don't play him against Texas and Houston, why bother keeping him on the roster.Grahamburn said:Do we like Taijuan tonight?

I'm guessing the answer has something to do either with institutionalized racism or terrible public transportation.Northern Voice said:What's the deal with 6:15 starts in Boston?

What are you hearing on Bautista? Roll with him this week in a weekly points league?
:deadbanana:Brandon McCarthy @BMcCarthy32 · 13 minutes agoto be fair, 31 years of use is a lot to ask for from a ligament
It sure pays betterBeats getting drilled in the face, I would imagine?
He's been discussed in a few threads but search is screwed, so we can talk about him more.Did I miss the Devon Travis discussion? This guy is on fire.
On the brightside, he's now a lock for Twitter MVP.:deadbanana:Brandon McCarthy @BMcCarthy32 · 13 minutes agoto be fair, 31 years of use is a lot to ask for from a ligament
No worries, GB. I rolled the dice with him after hearing he was taking BP today.Sorry, late seeing this, he'll hit but not play the field.rodg12 said:NV -

Yeah I've had about enough of Braun already. Some "minor injury" has him out tonight, guy is terrible and needs to go on the DL. And when I say DL, I mean teh juise.yea something called "gerardo parra" is listed as batting third tonight. really weird.Braun out of lineup again wtf?

Marlins still mostly a hot mess without their best lefty bat (Yelich), fly ball pitcher in that big park... tentative yesSo Rafael Montero tonight or nah?
Is he fully stretched out? He pitched out of the bullpen at the beginning of the season and only totaled 7 2/3 IP in two appearances in AAA.Marlins still mostly a hot mess without their best lefty bat (Yelich), fly ball pitcher in that big park... tentative yesSo Rafael Montero tonight or nah?
Thats what im curious about but AA to MLB seems tough? he's mashing in AA but striking out a bunch.Any chance in hell Correa gets called up if Lowrie is down for a while?

:(Former Arizona Diamondbacks manager and two-time World Series champion Kirk Gibson has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, Fox Sports Detroit announced Tuesday.Gibson, 57, joined the Fox Sports Detroit broadcast rotation as a color commentator for Detroit Tigers games in February, but had been absent from the booth recently. He was previously a Fox Sport Detroit analyst for Tigers games from 1998 to 2002.
A Pontiac, Mich., native, Gibson played for the Tigers from 1979 to 1987 and 1993 to 1995.
"I have faced many different obstacles in my life, and have always maintained a strong belief that no matter the circumstances, I could overcome those obstacles," Gibson said in a statement. "While this diagnosis poses a new kind of challenge for me, I intend to stay true to my beliefs. With the support of my family and friends, I will meet this challenge with the same determination and unwavering intensity that I have displayed in all endeavors in life. I look forward to being back at the ballpark as soon as possible."
Fox Sports Detroit said it would welcome Gibson back on the air as his treatment permits.

Edit: With Dominguez or Villar called up. Probably Villar I guess.
Is the suspension for days or games? With two postponed games in Baltimore, any chance Sale drops the suspension? does his 2 games count?
5 games but these were scheduled games that were postponed, I'm not sure if it's different for pitchers or not? Just seems weird with all these pitchers getting suspended and appealing. Is the suspension for days or games? With two postponed games in Baltimore, any chance Sale drops the suspension? does his 2 games count?

I hated this when it first came out Friday. After some time, and seeing that it's for low money, no players in return and easy for Texas to get out from under it, I hope Josh finds his security blanket here in Texas and makes LAAAAAA regret the move.Hamilton trade to the Rangers official. Nice move by Bogie's boys. Hope Josh can have success there again. Angels did not do right by him.

Pretty much a "no lose" situation for the Rangers. A relatively small gamble that he finds his groove back.I hated this when it first came out Friday.
