**2015 MLB Season Thread: This is how the chapter ends (1 Viewer)

Hamilton trade to the Rangers official. Nice move by Bogie's boys. Hope Josh can have success there again. Angels did not do right by him.
I hated this when it first came out Friday. After some time, and seeing that it's for low money, no players in return and easy for Texas to get out from under it, I hope Josh finds his security blanket here in Texas and makes LAAAAAA regret the move.
Pretty much a "no lose" situation for the Rangers. A relatively small gamble that he finds his groove back.
the only potential downside is if he ends up blocking somebody else but based on their COF production this year, that's not an immediate threat.

Shin-Soo Choo might be the bigger threat to that already on the roster. WTF happened to that guy?

Any chance in hell Correa gets called up if Lowrie is down for a while?
Thats what im curious about but AA to MLB seems tough? he's mashing in AA but striking out a bunch.
Would think you'd just see Marwin in the lineup.

Edit: With Dominguez or Villar called up. Probably Villar I guess.
Boo- when do you think we see Correa?
September maybe?

Rays get 3 extra home games this weekend too.
With just slightly higher attendance than tomorrow's Orioles-Sox game.

:lowhangingfruit:
I'm impressed that anybody goes to baseball games
You have an interesting love/hate relationship with teh beisbol.
I guess. I really enjoy watching teh Rays on tv but don't care much to go to their games or watch any other team on TV.

I would rather be stabbed than watch a Red Sox - Yankees game on ESPN.

Braun out of lineup again wtf?
yea something called "gerardo parra" is listed as batting third tonight. really weird.
Yeah I've had about enough of Braun already. Some "minor injury" has him out tonight, guy is terrible and needs to go on the DL. And when I say DL, I mean teh juise.
Made an appearance as a PH last night and promptly struck out. Thanks for contributing Braun!
Hit a homer tonight. I'm thinking about ordering a marching band and confetti to his residence tonight.

I bet that's not true.

Associated PressSAN DIEGO - The Chargers came into this one with high hopes. Earl Campbell and the Oilers had other ideas. Bum Phillips unleashed his bruising back on the beleaguered San Diego defense, coming away with a convincing 14-3 road win. Campbell rushed for touchdowns of 4 and 21 yards, while Houston's improved defense surrendered only a Rolf Benirschke field goal.

Also, and it pains me to do this, but I agree with Dr. D. I love going to MLB games.
I love hockey games as a live sporting event, college football can't be beat...but a baseball game is relaxing and just awesome. I'd probably choose it over most sporting events, but definitely over a ####### Buccaneers game.

The fact that Rolf Benirschke once briefly was the host of Wheel of Fortune is one of the great random things ever.

I support my hometown teams. The Bucs are terrible recently but you get to see other teams and smoking hot broads and come October the weather is nice. They won a super bowl since I've been buying tickets so I can't complain too much. Better than most teams.

Sidenote: whenever I see Wheel of Fortune on, I marvel at Sajak's career. Been able to hold that gig for over 30 years doing nothing. Kind of incomprehensible. What a sweet life. Maybe second to the movie trailer announcer.

Who does less: Sajak or Vanna White?

He makes $12 million a year, she makes $8 million a year. Both pretty sweet gigs.

Is there an updated top prospects list? I am in a league with one minor league spot. I currently have Sano, but someone has dropped Buxton.

Small sample size but Sano and Buxton are batting .158 and .215 in AA this year. The Twins' affiliate in Chattanooga has three top 40 MiLB prospects on the roster with Jose Berrios.

This site compiled a bunch of different lists for a consensus ranking.
