So the Warriors have Lebron, Klay, Barnes, Bogut, and Iggy with Livingston, Ezeli, Speights and Barbosa off the bench.Curry and Green for Lebron and Dahntay Jones? Yeah i dunno.
We sure that's not the favorite?

He was a great midrange shooter. Made it look easy.MJ was a great shooter?
Is Lebron playing PG for this team? Set a pick for him, my guys just go under it and dare him to shoot. Meanwhile, on the other side, whomever Bogut's covering is getting put in the PNR against Curry. Gll with that. Ezeli's a good pick and roll defender, but you don't want him stuck on Curry. Meaning you have to blitz and have Green playing 4-on-3, or you have your PG (Lebron, right?) chase Curry over picks. So the Warriors have Lebron, Klay, Barnes, Bogut, and Iggy with Livingston, Ezeli, Speights and Barbosa off the bench.

Who guards Klay for you? And Barnes? Definitely some defensive issues for the new warriors...Is Lebron playing PG for this team? Set a pick for him, my guys just go under it and dare him to shoot. BTW, Barbosa's not very good anymore, and Speights is pure uncut dog####. Assuming I start Shumpert at the 3, Irving, Delly, Thompson, and Frye is a far superior bench unit imo.
None in this thread though?Check the Comments section of any article discussing ESPN's NBARank Small Forwards list from earlier this season. No shortage of people upset that LeBron was ranked ahead of Larry Bird, some of the reasoning was more compelling than others.

Of course not but if they catch an injury there are several teams in the West that can beat them. And let's face it, they'd have been lucky to take a game off of a fully healthy Cavs team.

Their roster is very good, but I'm not sure if Irving and Love are optimal fits for playing with James. The Warriors have done a stellar job on LeBron, this series, this past regular season, and most of the last Finals, but he's literally the least of Cleveland's problems. I think James needs a PG that plays defense, can knock down 3's, and doesn't need to dominate the ball, which is the exact opposite of what Irving is.I think the common question for everything we've discussed regarding the Cavs is:
Are the Cavs playing up to the potential of the roster?
If you think they are: LBJ isn't the problem, Lue is doing ok/has no impact, etc.
If you don't: LBJ sucks, Lue is overmatched/Blatt was better, etc.
Wasn't asking about fit though.Their roster is very good, but I'm not sure if Irving and Love are optimal fits for playing with James. There's no chance ATL would consider trading their PF and PG for Cleveland's, right? ATL's guys only have one year left each, whereas CLE have theirs locked up.
I wasn't claiming to be quoting anyone in this thread.None in this thread though?
I'm not surprised that there's idiots in this world.
Because you can just go under.Whatever the case, however, it's a piss shame that an offense with two superior passers and offensive freaks in Love and Lebron can't figure things out. How can they not run a devastating pick and roll with those two?
They're not winning anything in the immediate future anyway. Paul will be shell of himself by the time they will be able to catch the Warriors.Yeah, I think if LA was willing to deal Paul for Irving, it would've happened by now. Paul's older, but that trade punts/concedes the immediate future.
New board sucks
There are 3 All-Stars on the court, as well as a coach that was put there by Lebron. This team was made by Lebron and is being run by him.Their roster is very good, but I'm not sure if Irving and Love are optimal fits for playing with James. The two games they won last year was by a grand total of 7 points. One went to overtime. How's that taking over a game exactly? So you didn't watch last year? Noted n
This is the result when a player picks who he wants to coach and who to target for the roster. They were just talking aboput this last night that James tried to do the same thing in Miami but Riley would disregard his suggestions. That was part of the reason James wanted out of Miami as he felt he had no say in the roster. There are 3 All-Stars on the court, as well as a coach that was put there by Lebron. There comes a time when you have to point fingers.
That a lot of you hacks with like opinions like to hang out in here all year? The Venn diagram of "people who haven't really posted here all year before the Finals" and "people saying dumb things about LeBron James and his legacy" is just a circle.
What does that tell you?
That's rich. You've been running the same anti-Lebron shtick for 5 years now. That a lot of you hacks with like opinions like to hang out in here all year?
And laugh at "Let's get those fire hats boys, we've got a 4 alarm fire here..." for the 1,261st time?
At least come up with some new schtick every 18 to 24 months.![]()

It's not that you don't post here all year. Frankly, I'm sure all of us are pleased you don't. It's just that your opinion is really, really, really, really stupid.No. Wrong as usual.

">It's not really an if/then situation. It's more of an observation. The people who don't post here a lot are the ones saying really stupid things. Correlation, not causation. It's certainly possible that a newcomer would have a reasonable, logical insightful take on James. It just hasn't happened yetAnnounce:
If you don't post here year round, then your opinion doesn't count or you have a 12 alarm smoking sizzling oven baking hot take or you're a closet racist or all of the above.![]()

Cool. No, we actually have disagreements on almost everything.
We only agree on really obvious things, like "Gregg Popovich is a good coach" or "the Warriors are better than the 76ers" or "LeBron James is one of the greatest basketball players in history" or "counting titles is a moronic way to evaluate individual players."
No.. I understand the team aspect. But it is not a coincidence that all those guys at the top of every all time great list have a handful of rings. You're still in "RINGZ DOOD" mode. A team's best player is important, but players 2-8 in total are more important than player 1.
They'll be able to trade Love for a compelling combination of picks and players from somebody like the Nuggets, Celtics, Suns or Rockets.I've been messing around with the Trade Machine trying to give you a better answer to your question about what CLE should do this summer... and I've concluded Kevin Love will be very hard to trade. The combination of XXL price, XL length, and L value is just deadly. I'd declare Love the least-tradeable contract in the league, but I think that honor actually goes to Tristan Thompson.
Getting out from under Love's contract seems to be the prudent thing to do. As polarizing as he is as a player, he's got a lot more trade value than Thompson. Love is who he is as a player, while Irving still has time to improve at both ends of the floor.
There are obviously many many problems with the RINGZZZZ argument, but the most obvious is that the league's rules and parameters are constantly changing. The Eastern Conference currently has 15 teams in it. That means every time LeBron's team has proven to be the best team in the East they have defeated more teams than Bill Russell's Celtics teams ever did, almost as many teams as Wilt and early Kareem did, and 2/3rds as many as Bird and Magic did.matuski said:No.. If Bird had 5 and Magic had 3 I would bet they switch places on that list. If Olajuwon had 4 instead of 2... in contention with Shaq. Instead Bird drops a few spots, Olajuwon fights to be top 10. Same for Oscar, Malone, etc. I am guessing Lebron settles around 7, with the Finals record holding him back from the top 5. Rings do count when you are talking about the best to ever play.
Ie - there is no debate Lebron is an All Time great, there is also no debate those other All Time greats have more (a lot more) Rings to show for it.
If putting James top 7 ever is hating..![]()
Isiah Thomas has 2 rings and retired at 33 and is not top 10. James may never win another title as a player but will still be a top 10 all time player. In Miami James looked up to Wade and respected Riley. In Cleveland James is Wade and Riley combined and put in any puppet HC that you want. A role that James wanted but not sure he is really comfortable with regardless of his ability.matuski said:No.. I understand the team aspect. Yup. That's why when people talk about the greatest PGs ever they always bring up Mario Chalmers and Derek Fisher but you never hear anything about John Stockton or Gary Payton. At the end of the day, when overlooking player legacies there are two things people look at, and unfortunately for LeBron winning your conference is not one of them. People only care about:
1. Rings
2. MVPs
