2016 Subscriber Contest - live scoring in first post (1 Viewer)

I'm at 150 also. It will be close I think.
I'm done at 148.7 sweating it out.  Thought I'd have a cake walk with Bell active, but I had a bunch of meh games.  Only 3 players broke 20 and the highest of those was Bell at 22.8.  Hoping for a low scoring game tonight.

If I survive by 2 pts or less I will have been saved by Case Keenum.

148.75 here with only the Giants d left (-9).  Hope we both make it!   Stafford's off week might sink this ship before Tom is able to save it.  But if we do survive, Gronk and Tom will help a lot.

Made it through my QB-less week (Wentz, Cutler, RGIII) thanks solely to Julio. Need Cutler back to have a chance to stay in it.

166 this week thanks to my RBs. I'm not long for this contest though, as I had both Allen and Gordon. I do get Brady back, so at least I can stop relying on Rivers each week.

Welcome Tom Brady. Now, witness the power of this fully operational battle station... featuring Kenny Stills!

How do the cut lines this year compare to previous years?

Anyone know why the cut line dropped to 123.5 in last year's week 4?

7500 people scored 123.5 or more points  :nerd:

I'm not really sure, but assuming fantasy points have some sort of correlation with number of points scored in the NFL, the first few weeks of the year last year saw the following:

1. Total points scored in the NFL: 724 (114.55)
2. Total points scored in the NFL: 764 (146.10)
3. Total points scored in the NFL: 773 (147.35)
4. Total points scored in the NFL: 653 (123.50)
5. Total points scored in the NFL: 648 (128.35)
6. Total points scored in the NFL: 681 (140.75)

Scoring was down so could have led to lower fantasy scores (though it sure doesn't explain week 1 if that was the case).

Byes and JJ not scoring 50 points?  Not sure, can still get to 2014 and here it is...

2016:

CUTOFF - 142.85 147.60 149.35

2015:

CUTOFF - 114.55 146.10 147.35 123.50 128.35 140.75 157.35 143.50 159.65 148.05 144.70 179.60 181.30

2014:

Code:
CUTOFF - 138.15 140.20 134.65 137.60 140.05 135.85 131.10 171.80 144.05 148.50 160.20 163.95 161.65

Best week of the year... Been just cruising along safely but unspectacular. 210 ish this week - wish I could bank some of them for the weeks to come.

Done at 146.5

Any early predictions for final cut line? What kind of movement should we expect?

Thank you & good luck to all.

I have almost the same score this week.  146.45  Thinking the line is not going to move 10 points.

I think the last couple of weeks its only moved a few points for the last game.I dont think I would worry if your  10 points above.

740 NFL pts in just 15 games and 5 games over 60 pts scored.
Worse than that -- NE and Pitt each topped 50 by themselves. Lots of players owned on those teams. Buffalo and NO topped 40 too.

It seems to me that if the Viking's D plays like they have through the first 3 weeks and keeps Eli, OBJ, Cruz and Shepard in check we could expect there won't be a lot of movement.

No Peterson so that will probably limit movement too.

But I could be completely wrong.

Get through this week and avoid injury, and I like your chances... both of those are possible.  Good luck.  You won't get any competition from me!
Whew...  Made it through the week, at 190+ with no QB -- would have made it even without Julio's near 50 points.  Brady, Gronk, and Bell should be much more helpful going forward...

Glad to be one of 69 teams still around with the Brady/Gronk combo, 20% survival rate.

Gonna miss gordon, and if Moncrief doesn't return soon I'm in trouble.

This was my 1st week falling below 180 points. I don't like the makeup of the roster and don't foresee surviving much longer. 2/4 QBs are good. I like my RBs. But my WRs/TEs/DEF aren't any good.

Usually it's good to look back and see what plan was used.  You clearly went heavy qb and rb but I don't understand your plan on receivers.  As a whole it seems to be working, whatever it was. ;)

In all my leagues I emphasized RBs because there were only a select few that I liked. Lots of teams are struggling due to poor RB play, so if played right, teams that hit on RBs made out well (in my primary FF league I have Bell/McCoy/Michael/Ware). As for the WRs and the rest of the lower priced RBs, the goal was to grab a bunch of lower priced guys in hopes that a couple of them perform well. Eli Rogers looked good for 1 week. Gordon is done. Boyd hasn't done much. Sanu is in ATL and they spread the ball too much. Stills can barely hang onto a ball when the nearest defender is 20 yards away, and actually dropped one in that situation. Marvin Jones and Shepard have been the only 2 good ones out of the bunch, so 25%. Luckily my RBs are stronger so I can lean on them primarily and only need to use 2 of the 8 WRs. I actually have a pretty damn good group of RBs so as long as 4 of them perform well each week, I should only have to use 2 WRs.

My week is coming at any point.

I'm somehow still in it despite building my WR group around Keenan Allen, Sammy Watkins, and Josh Gordon

Whew...survived my worst week so far.

I'm going to miss having Josh Gordon during the bye weeks.  Was counting on him, but maybe Hogan can start to contribute with Brady in the mix.  I do have a bit of a tight week this week at RB without Ware/Charles or Christine Michael.  I will also need Amari Cooper to get into gear and Delanie Walker to get healthy.

I was really hoping to see more Brady owners fail to make it to week 5.  He's still rostered on more than 20% of the remaining teams.  In contrast, Matt Ryan is on just over 5% of the surviving teams.  Maybe I need to start rooting for Ryan Tannehill whom I've already used 4 times this year.

I really need Eifert to play this week. Olsen on bye and Hooper still isn't involved enough in the Atl offense (tho he's making the most of his limited chances).

Not sure how much longer I'll last with Keenan and Gordon rostered ($36 of 0's). Murray, McCoy, Olsen and Crabtree have been carrying me. Won't make it til the end.

first the good news..... in at about 190 its my best week yet and havent really been in danger of the cutline now the bad.... injurys are starting to crush my once pretty deep wr core gone for at least a cpl of weeks is Moncrief... Corey Colemon ...... Erick Decker.... and soon to be  kevin white facor in bye weeks witch are gonna start to hit everyone hard and im a low lieing frut for the turk monster

Out. Had K Allen, Foster, J Gordon, A Peterson. My' What If' roster has been scoring good every week, and I did it fast at the last moment without paying attention to Bye weeks and they look good. Doesn't count but something I can follow and watch go all the way

I think I'll make the cut this week. But who would have thought that I'd be far more concerned that Christine Michael has a bye than Mark Ingram or Brandin Cooks?

Love this wacky contest.

Love the query tool and the statistical stuff you can look through. On a personal note, I've gotten contributions from 21 of my 28 players on my roster - no scores from 2 of 3 QBs, 1 of 7 RBs, 2 of 9 WRs, 1 of 3 Ks and 1 of 3 Ds. Ryan at QB has kept the other 2 on the bench so far. Only lost 1 player to injury so far - Ameer Abdullah. The whole thing could go up in smoke at any time but fun to track.

Down Sammy, Abdullah, Cutler and RG3. I've still somehow been able to comfortably make the cut. Gl to the rest still in!

was down to $2 so I threw a dart and took Case Keenum.  Never thought he would ever come up big with 22+ points and be my QB that counted.  That being said, injuries to Woodhead, Keenan Allan and Decker to go with byes for Ingram, Julius Thomas, and Christine Michael might make for a rough week 5.

Torrey Smith an $11 sham. Pumped to now have 2 remaining viable WR for week 5. Tough sledding this year, hope Brady-gronk come correct.

Good luck to all and congrats to all fitz-DJ owners.
