Definitely. Also they had zero flow or cohesion on offense in the 4th quarter. It was a ton of one on one resulting in low quality contested shots. Some of it should be credited to the Rockets' D because they hustled their butts off (except for Harden), but a lot of it seemed like poor to no execution of their motion offense. They didn't even bother with picks half the possessions in the 4th. It's like someone paid them to throw the game or something.

The offense was doing so ####ty I actually thought they could've used Zaza and his screens for a couple of possessions.

I'm watching it again with coffee and without company and audio. Harden worked hard on defense throughout this game. His defensive energy, steals and blocks to close the half changed the tone of the game. What at one point looked like a laugher for the home team was suddenly a problem. From Chris's 3 tying the game at 44 with 2 minutes to go, to another of his 3s giving Houston a 10 point lead with a minute to go, it was Harden's defense was making a mess of the Warriors. He was sick on offense most of the quarter too. The half ended with Harden swatting Curry's shot out of bounds and both teams walking off the court with completely different attitudes. Without that defensive effort to close the half, the third quarter onslaught probably would have given us another blowout. I have two thoughts this morning that I thought I was past. One, this is how these teams looked for big stretches of the season and why Houston has home court. They work harder and play a little better if not quite as talented. Two, I have no idea who I expect to win this series, but it could be epic. The possibility of the Dubs backs to the wall in Houston for a game 7 championship game makes me giddy.

I guess that's kind of the opposite of what you were talking about but maybe the lesson is that the crowds in Oakland are less murdery than the ones in LA. I would have protected you regardless  :hifive:

Andrew Walter was the QB. Oakland had 98 yards total offense, 17 net passing yards. Roethlisberger had 4 interceptions (2 pick 6's). Not trying to be a ####, those kind of games fascinate me, so I looked it up.

It reminded me of the Game that the Steelers lost in the Texans inaugural season of 2002, 24-6. Pittsburgh outgained the Texans 422-47 but the Texans scored on two pick sixes and one defensive fumble return.

Yeah, I was shuked by that reference about Harden’s D as well. I missed the first half, but I thought Harden really hustled on D during the second half that I watched. Had the highest number of steals for both teams and tied with the highest number of blocks.

Seemed like pretty much every time they got him iso'ed on the ball handler, the ball handler had their way with him, and he wasn't putting up a whole lot of resistance in those situations. I figured they'd work that a lot more in the 4th, but the Warriors went brain dead on offense.

Harden's defense making a mess of Durant's iso immediately after a steal and great assist and just before swatting Curry's shot at the buzzer.

Swaggy P makes a bad pass, news at 11. And gambling on a reach in isn't exactly what I'd consider textbook good defense. In fact, I'm pretty sure you teach people not to do that. I guess the ends justify the means in this case. Also my initial quote was about the 2nd half/4th quarter. He got abused in the 2nd half, most of the time, when the Warriors took the effort to get him isolated.

Rockets fan here.  Finally an entertaining game as both conference finals have been the suck.  Still a bit miffed about that last foul call.  If Curry converted, I'm not sure Houston fans would ever recover.  

And Harden's dunk over Green was something else.  Definite GIF material.  Good to see him play inspired ball on both sides of the court.

The Warriors iso plays were much different than the Rockets.  GS seemed to be more interested in who had the ball on offense while HOU made sure they were going at a specific defender. 

Also, earlier in the playoffs, Kerr missed the opportunities to get Bell up to speed for this series and now Bell's just a step behind at times.  Kind of surprised Cook hasn't gotten real minutes time as well - he's judicious with the ball, shoots well, and even if the Rockets choose to attack him on defense that's less possessions where Curry is being worn down.

Swaggy P is kindling that helps ignite the Rockets offense the second he checks in.  He just doesn't seem to know where to go on either side of the ball.  He even ran flush into Durant in game 4.  Unless it's an end of quarter offensive possession ol' Swag is unplayable.

If the Warriors take game 5 in Houston, they'll curbstomp the Rockets back at Oracle.  Thursday night could be another classic though.

Loved Livingston's dunk but Harden's was unexpected.  While Livingston has been in dunk contests and posterized many players over the years, I always think of Harden as a finesse guy.

 
Boston are 9-0 at home and 1-6 on the road in the playoffs. The last year a playoff team made it to Game 5 of the CF with only one road win was in 2008. That team was 9-0 heading into Game 5 and went on to win the CF in 6, and the title. It was of course the Celtics

 
Also, Doris Burke is the absolute worst.  That voice drives me completely insane -- one of the few I have to mute.  Her and Paul Pierce belong together.

 
I gotta give credit to Tatum and Boston, that kid is really good at crying. I mean he puts 100% into it and flails the arms and everything

 
Wow good call Refs on Love he moved out of the way and Tatum gets the call......wow that was so bad even announcers said it was phantom call and now Love is forced out of the game because of it.
