So you want a continuous replay system where every play throughout the game can be reviewed?  Still seems awful.  I'll take instant calls by a human referee even if they are only 93% correct or whatever.  Heck, as we go to more replays in general I'd guess replays are only 95% correct anyway.

Imagine the excitement of all that waiting we would do while the replay crew reviews all out of bounds calls, all foul calls, all infractions, and everything in between for the full game   :excited:
Not really a replay crew. They'd be officials and they can make instantaneous calls no different than the officials on the court. To be worthwhile it'd have to be done in a way that doesn't extend the length of the game, which seems plausible to me. The details would obviously have to be fleshed out by people that are smarter than me but it seems obvious (to me at least) that something like this will happen eventually.

Here's the theory in Boston sportstalk (there's a new one every day, as many know): the Kang has deduced that a championship series against either Hou or GS will be a total embarrassment and has decided to make his goodbye to Cleveland be a valiant 7-game series loss to the Celts rather than face being swept/punked/turned-out by a Western foe.

That is literally the dumbest sports theory ever.

How about this hypothesis. He's a 33 year old GOAT candidate who is completely exhausted from carrying Kevin Love and a roster full of dross as far as they've gotten this season. The dude goes into every game pretty much knowing if he doesn't go for around 40 and double digit boards and assists, he loses.

So Joel Embiid making 2nd team all-NBA instead of 1st is a hell of a blessing in disguise for the 6'ers. Give them an extra $5 - $7 million/year to be able to use on other players. Embiid needs to start getting the endorsement love (got the latest ESPN magazine because it is free, and they have top 100 "world fame" athletes. Endorsements count toward this filler, so Melo is in the mid-30s if that tells you anything) and i am sure he will be fine. works out well for the good guys

It is so cute you are worried about his potential earnings, but really I think he will be okay.

I wonder how long it will take before defenders will quit reaching in like Capella just did, LeBron, Harden, Durant, Curry etc. all rise up for a shot the second you do that and get free throws.

@Niles Standish No matter what happens the rest of this series, you can't say the Warriors own the NBA anymore, there is no drama, or they are going to steam roll the league. This Rocket team is giving them everything they can handle and any real NBA fan can't tell who is going to win this series (halfway through the 2nd quarter of game 5)

Edit: I shouldn't just call you out, but you are the last person I had this argument with. There are probably a dozen or so posters in here that have said this since the Warriors won last year.

Did the Warriors switch all pick and rolls before Durant signed? I don't remember, but it seems to really hurt them in this series.

Yah that's kind of their thing.

What's hurt them this series is Harden and Paul surround by 3 and D players. It's honestly the antidote to a switching D unless Curry suddenly becomes Gary Payton.

this is game 5

Did you see Paul shimmying in front of Curry after his last one? I hate Chris Paul but that was pretty funny.

Other than his 3s though Houston is taking uglier shots than GS was the other night. Bodes well for the Warriors if they can STOP TURNING THE BALL OVER.
Yeah, I don't like when other players steal another guys celebration. Make up your own thing in my opinion.

That might be the dumbest theory to come out of Boston in a week.
