I'm catching the Vines, but that patchwork Belgian backline doesn't look too good. You could have driven a semi between the CBs for the Vokes goal.
Well, a Vokeswagen anyways.I'm catching the Vines, but that patchwork Belgian backline doesn't look too good. You could have driven a semi between the CBs for the Vokes goal.
Soft all game.I'm catching the Vines, but that patchwork Belgian backline doesn't look too good. You could have driven a semi between the CBs for the Vokes goal.
They'll have to beat them in the Finalwell- to be fair, Wales didn't have to go through Iceland
In fairness, Ramsey deserves at least some punishment for that hair color.gianmarco said:The yellow card accumulation rule is so awesome. I love watching key players have to sit when they happen to pick up 2 yellow cards in 5 matches.
After the season Ramsey put together for our fantasy team that year we picked him up, he has an automatic pass from me. Forever. In fairness, Ramsey deserves at least some punishment for that hair color.
Between the hair and general douchebaginess he is lucky he does not start every tournament on two yellows. In fairness, Ramsey deserves at least some punishment for that hair color.

... god, he was delicious, especially the white flubber...Totally blew my mind when my wife told me that Cookie #### was the same mold as Fudgie, just oriented vertically instead of horizontally.... god, he was delicious, especially the white flubber...
Beastie Boys covered Cookie #### quite eloquently...Oh come on, language filter! Don't mess with my Carvel talk!

Plan for tomorrow's game is to have a handful of these whiskey marrys.OK...I think this thread has gone off-track without (relative)drink menu...First, I'll wake up @ 7:00, look at two jobs, hopefully return around 10:00... requisite half glass of limoncello... shower, then enjoy a Bellini on back deck with wife... coordinate with my brothers where to watch; consume massive quantities of my Uncle's homemade vino (& Peroni & Moretti)...celebrate glorious gli Azzurri victory...& then post here & get banned again. SOLID. Nothing can go wrong, amirite?

Almost as exited for tomorrow's game as I am of Portugal's win* over Wales

It's completely absurd. I can't believe they haven't fixed this.gianmarco said:The yellow card accumulation rule is so awesome. I love watching key players have to sit when they happen to pick up 2 yellow cards in 5 matches.
Careful, I've seen guys throw out their backs casting that hardWill be interesting to see if an upstart Wales team who has deserved all their points can beat a much more talented Portugal squad who has backed into the semis.
I've seen "guys" on Barcelona "throw out" their backs for much less....Careful, I've seen guys throw out their backs casting that hard
Tactics?!?!....Wilmots is going to go down defending his poor tactics

It's disgusting. Unlike his play.In fairness, Ramsey deserves at least some punishment for that hair color.
Joe Allen was headed to Swansea before this tourney. I don't think Swansea is big enough for him now.IMO, Ramsey and Joe Allen have been cruelly underrated in this tournament. I know Ramsey plays pushed forward a lot more for Wales than he does for Arsenal, but the two of them have not only stabilized Wales' central midfield, but dare I say given them one of the strongest central midfield partnerships in this entire tournament. England would kill for those two right now.

It’s the dress rehearsal of the Cup semi-final at White Hart Lane, with Spurs still aiming for a precious Champions League place.
But Redknapp’s tales of when he and the incredible Kanu were at Pompey had an audience transfixed and rolling with laughter on Friday.
‘I took Kanu off the local park. He wasn’t playing, just training on the park on his own - or so he said.
‘He did not have a club four days before that season started and I didn’t have a second forward. I was sitting there thinking where he had gone after being freed by West Brom. So I tracked him down, got him in and stuck him on the bench.
‘He would ring me every Sunday night at 11pm so he knew I was in bed. “Oh gaffer, it’s Kanu here.
'Gaffer, I have the upset tummy, I cannot train tomorrow. I will not be in tomorrow, I do not feel well”.
‘Every Sunday. But on the pitch ... first game, I stuck him on for the second half against Blackburn, he got two great goals and missed a penalty for the hat-trick. Monday we went to Middlesbrough, won 4-0 and Kanu got two more goals. He ran from the halfway line for the second. What a goal!
‘We got back home to the airport and we were sitting while waiting for the baggage to come. Suddenly he could not get up. His body had given up. We had to lift him into one of those wheelchairs.
‘No matter how the physios tried, his body would not straighten up. They lifted him up into the chair and wheeled him out the airport! He had to leave his car there and he could not drive. The physio had to drive him back. His body had gone.
‘How old is he? 49? I don’t know (officially, he’s 33). But when you think he played at Inter Milan, won the Champions League with Ajax and he’d had a heart problem. In training you’d pay to watch him some days. He could do things you’d never seen. What a lovely guy as well.
‘Yet when I took him, people at the club who worked with me went, “He’s finished, Harry”. ‘I said, “No”. I took him and he did fantastic for me and he’s still there now. King Kanu. He’s an amazing talent. Still.’
I concur that Ramsey was extraordinary tonight, but I think he has been awful all tournament long. Don't see where you're coming from...he doesn't seem to know spacing, yet alone, off-the-ball movement....has played with too much "Arsenal-Arrogance"...but then again, I'm an idiot ...IMO, Ramsey and Joe Allen have been cruelly underrated in this tournament. I guess I disagree. It looks like Chris Coleman gives him a lot more freedom to roam than Arsene Wenger does. He seems to have a much more playmaking role for Wales, and I think he's done well in the role in this tournament. He had 2 assists in the group stage and led the team in chance creation per ESPN....not that that stat really means anything, but it seems to quantify the fact that he's been putting his team in position to score, even moreso than Gareth Bale. Bale is the finisher and dangerous on the ball in space. Ramsey is the piece that keeps the offense ticking.I concur that Ramsey was extraordinary tonight, but I think he has been awful all tournament long. Reading my response, it was a little harsh...didn't mean it like that. Agree to disagree, but not this afternoon.I guess I disagree. Ramsey is a ####. Pure and simple. He should play for ScuntthorpeI'm totally wif Tasker. Ramsay has been great all tournament long. He's been taking charge of the midfield and forcing the play upfield.
I didn't read it as harsh at all, just a subjective difference of opinion.Reading my response, it was a little harsh...didn't mean it like that. Agree to disagree, but not this afternoon.![]()
