Will somebody think of the poor tables, please?Aaron Rudnicki said:Getting pretty psyched for the parade...and the riots
From your lips to God's earsthis feels like Hakstol’s last game
The nonconference winless streak is now more than two calendar years and counting (22 games overall).Bill Brasky said:Tri City in the USHL added Wahlstrom to their roster so now the speculation is he might leave BC. man, that team would really crater if he left, even more than they already have. oh and they lost to Bentley yesterday.
Feels right imowhoa.... so weird to see the Sabes in first place ahead of TB and TOR
Hockey East looking like 1-2 teams will make it into tourney as of now Incredible weekend getting the worst of it from the ECAC and Atlantic Hockey. UMass just needs to play smart hockey and keep Makar ready for the Avs playoff run.Oh, and America's Team now has won eight in a row, is 11-1-0 overall and is first in PWR and KRACH.
Makar (6-10-16 in 12 games) is tied for top 10 in the country in both points and points/game. Adam Fox is the only player ahead of him who had played fewer games. Sharks draft pick John Leonard also sits at 5-11-16.

CHI is banking on a few things in this trade with ARI: 1. Strome will be able to play 2nd line centre behind Toews. 2. Strome and DeBrincat may be able to re-create OHL chemistry in NHL. 3. Improved depth, getting two skilled forwards (Strome and Perlini) for one (Schmaltz).

CHI likes that Strome has emerged as a top faceoff centre and believes his skill/smarts will be able to compensate for lack of pop in his skating stride.

ARI obviously believes Schmaltz, coming off a 21-goal, 52-point season, gives them more speed at centre and Schmaltz will be able to make a bigger and more immediate impact in the middle than Strome, that it was worth giving up Perlini to get that perceived upgrade at C.
Parade is not guaranteed but the riots are. Don't give out pint glasses on the night of a game 7. Even if it wasn't in Carolina, pretty sure they would be smashed in the Sabres parking lot after a loss.Aaron Rudnicki said:Getting pretty psyched for the parade...and the riots
When all is going well, the Pens give Skinner another concussion. Calling my shot.Aaron Rudnicki said:Feels right imo
man, high risk move by Chayka. I’m not sure why he had to give up Perlini too who is a nice player. this one could end up looking pretty bad.Blackhawks trade Nick Schmaltz to Arizona for Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini.
well I guess since Hextall wouldn't do it he got the hook. Hakstol hanging by a thread now.this feels like Hakstol’s last game
I wonder if "we no longer share the same philosophical approach concerning the direction of the team" is code for "we're recalling Carter Hart immediately because our goalies have been ### for 20 years"well I guess since Hextall wouldn't do it he got the hook. Hakstol hanging by a thread now.
Or it could be why didn't we mortgage the future fir a better stopgap NHL ready goalie since that was Hollmgren MO.I wonder if "we no longer share the same philosophical approach concerning the direction of the team" is code for "we're recalling Carter Hart immediately because our goalies have been ### for 20 years"
Kovalchuk played 6:20 last night with 10 shifts. There was a 15-20 minute stretch where he didn't get a shift. Also, the wrong guy has been fired in arguably every one of these.
Edmonton clearly should have been Chiarelli for the Hall/Eberle trades, Lucic signing, etc...
Philly has a solid enough roster but Hakstol likely isn't an NHL coach.
Los Angeles signed Kovalchuk and doubled down on big, old, heavy players in an era of youth and speed.
Quenneville was internal struggles but also bad Panarin/Saad trade, moving Hjalmarsson to overpay old guys, trading Teuvo to dump one year of Bickell $$$
Yeo was maybe the right guy to go in St. Louis but given the number of changes to that team in the offseason (and Jake Allen) likely needed more time, and if you want to say Allen is the problem, that's on the GM too.
He was slow in the old NHL, expecting anything more than a PP specialist, which they must have given the $$$ he received was strange.Kovalchuk played 6:20 last night with 10 shifts. There was a 15-20 minute stretch where he didn't get a shift.
Has to be that he refused to fire the coaching staff. Although not sure why they all didn’t get blown out though if that was the case. Hopefully tomorrow’s game is the coach's last.Or it could be why didn't we mortgage the future fir a better stopgap NHL ready goalie since that was Hollmgren MO.
Either way this was not the 'stol I was looking for.
In 23 games, he's 4-4=8 even strength, and minus 13. So 21 goals against in 23 games even strength. 1-4=5 on PPHe was slow in the old NHL, expecting anything more than a PP specialist, which they must have given the $$$ he received was strange.
$6.25 for another two years. In 23 games, he's 4-4=8 even strength, and minus 13. So 21 goals against in 23 games even strength. 1-4=5 on PP
Going to have to battle Austin Watson for both/all IMO.Also Lady Byng. And Hart. Wilson for Masterton
Andersen kind of playing out of his mind though.also, i think toronto might be the best team in the nhl
