2021 FBG Subscriber Contest (1 Viewer)

Ok, so question - I see in the rules that this is a survivor contest weeks 1-14.

What happens after week 14? Is there a playoff system? I didn't see anything about that. Is it just a 14 week contest with the highest week 14 scores winning?

Having never made it this far, I'm not familiar with the end game. Or, uh, if there is one. :lol:
Just above the Prizes breakdown in the rules:

"The contest participants who were not previously eliminated will be ordered, from highest to lowest, by the sum of their scores for weeks 15, 16, and 17."

I wonder how many Deebo, McKissic, Cook & CMC shareholders there are amongst the survivors headed to work 13. 1-2 weeks is an eternity in this context. Season for CMC & maybe Cook 🤔

down to the remaining 313 of 9767 entries.....congrats to all who have made it!

I lived to die another day, and its not looking good this week with Rodgers/Chubb on Bye with Zeke hurting. I could really use Ingram back to full health and getting a big bunch of carries. Good news is all but MVS in my WR and TE sets are available.

Might be a very tight week having to rely on Big Ben or Goff....uggh.

Hip hip hooray for the survivors...

He wasn't scared of the line, and made it with more than 2.34 points to spare

Never a doubt this week, as he finished 20th overall.

Made it through the tough byes, and this team looks strong.

@JoeSteeler - https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/100171
Hasn't really had a close call yet.  Hey Joe, why no Steelers on your squad?

Wanna see something amazing?  Look at this team's first 5 weeks!

@Dacomish - https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/102210
Had quite a scare in week 4, but otherwise has cruised through.

@Balco - https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/103707
Helluva 6-pack of RB's and WR's, and a duo of QB's to boot.

@wollac - https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/107562
Has likely used Sony Michel more than any remaining team.  Fly them Jetz!

@stubby - https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/101351
Here's to hoping for a miracle recovery for Fields, before Mac's week 14 bye.

That is an amazing group of WR's.  Best I've seen so far in this contest.

Hey, remember that time about 3 months ago when you made the cut by .6?

Now that I escaped last week, a look back and forward.

QB - Brady is the key to future progress, but at least Z, Wilson has returned. Brady used 10 weeks, Darnold two and Z. Wilson has not yet helped us.

RB - Derrick Henry was the heart and soul, but is gone and the cheap depth has really come through. Henry eight weeks, James Robinson 7 weeks, Edwards 0, Stevenson 3 weeks, Breida two weeks (2 of last three), Gallman 0, and Ingram five weeks.

WR - K. Allen has been awesome, Pittman also, but he's slipping down the stretch. A. Robinson, Callaway and Bryan Edwards not yet worth the investment. Allen eight weeks, eight weeks, Callaway five, Shenault four, Hardman four, Edwards four, MVS three, and A. Robinson two.

TE - Andrews steady and Henry has scored lots of TDs. Andrews ten weeks, Henry five, J. Smith four, and Arnold two.

PK - Nice combo of Carlson and McManus, wasted money on Lambo. Carlson seven weeks and McManus five.

DST - Cowboys six weeks, Cardinals four and Panthers two.

One wish and I am certain most have this same wish, but with all the cash I dropped on the four $3 RBs, I wish that I had considered C. Patterson for $4.

As steady as Brady has been, Darnold helped me survive in week 4, when Brady only scored 13.75 and even though I used his 6.5 on Brady's week 9 bye, I would have snuck by without his score.

Next week I have Darnold, the Panthers DST and Henry on bye, but with the two position players injured, only the Panthers will be missed, so I am reasonably hopeful of escaping the final cut and making the finals.

I do have Stephenson, Henry, J Smith and Pittman on bye on the first week of the finals, so that is not good.

I'm pretty sure there are two more cut weeks.  Week 14 is the final week of cuts.  The Finals run from weeks 15-17 after all of the bye weeks have concluded.

Dude, why didn't you say anything?  Superstitious?  Well, I am posting your team anyway, and you will be added to the list for us to cheer on.  Good luck making it through!

yeah I hadn't really commented since the contest very first started and kept advancing so didn't want to ruin the mojo/karma....thanks for the official kiss of death now btw.... :wall:

went TE heavy hoping to use the 1.5 PPR to secure some flex options....cheap WR's but with maybe big play ability that could ham and egg usable scores on fewer targets/receptions....

Oh no!  I'm out!   https://footballguys.com/contests/subscribers/2021/entry/102413

Losing in week 12 ties my record for longevity in the FBG Subscriber Contest.  I was bounced in Week 12 previously in 2014 and 2006.  My 2006 team included Brett Favre, and was built around Steve Smith, Warrick Dunn, and Willie Parker.   :lol:  👴

I am really proud of this team.  I procrastinated and put it together on the day of the entry deadline, with only 4-5 iterations.  The basic premise was to bank on good health and good workloads for Kamara and Harris, and spend up at TE for Kelce and Andrews.   Everything was going great until Kamara's recent injury.  I needed more from Brady this week, but regression finally hit, and all the Buccaneers TDs were rushing TDs this week.   :kicksrock:

Best of luck to the surviving posters here!

@TheWinz I loaded the updated sheet and sorted the players by remaining counts.

Only 5 Dalvin Cook owners left sweating it out a couple of weeks, to go along with the  28 Woods, 13 McCaffrey and 14 Henry guys left. I would have thought there were more than 5 fortunate Fournette owners/survivors. Those 10 that have Patterson must be loving it. This week, No MVS for 99 owners,  Chubb for 61, no Cobb for 24, 22 with Tannehill, Adams for 16, Aaron Jones for 15, no AJ Dillon for 35, and no Rodgers for 53. Waller is out this for the 15 left that have him, and ditto to the 5 Kamara, Crosby, and Hunt owners. Oh, almost forgot defenses.....78 have Cleveland, 64 with Green Bay, 32 with Tennessee, and 12 with Carolina.

Melvin Gordon now doubtful, my (and 24 others) RB crew might get upgraded via Javonte Williams.

RB's Jonathan Taylor, Cordarrelle Patterson, Justin Jackson, DeeJay Dallas, and Boston Scott, WR's Cooper Kupp, Deebo Samuel, Marquise Brown, Kendrick Bourne, and Hunter Renfrow, TE's Mark Andrews and Jack Doyle, and the Dallas and Houston defenses are the only players who have at least doubled in ownership percentage since the start of the contest.

Thursday plus early games gives me 94.8 among only four players, Brady 41.4, K. Allen 20.4, Pittman 17.0, and Cowboys DST 16.

Have a couple low single digit scores also posted, but have three RBs, three WRs and all four TEs still to come. Oh and both kickers.

Hopeful, but like someone else already said there have been lots of high production players so far today.
