This team s going to lose to the Browns practice squad. It’s funny. It’s the Raiders.
Ole baby hands carrCarr fumble turned this whole game around. He fumbles way too often when he knows he's being tackled. I can understand the strip sack fumbles when a QB gets hit from the blind side, but that last fumble was an absolute joke.
I’ve been saying this forever. And can we srop trying to be Payton Manning and not bring the playclock down to sub 1 second, multiple times. Wasting time outs and or taking penalties? Tia.And Carr with yet another 4th Qtr comeback. Wish he'd play entire games with the same aggressiveness he plays with when his back is to the wall.
And as has been pointed out by people in here before.....STOP THROWING DEEP BALLS TO ZAY JONES. Why is Desean Jackson on this roster if not for those plays?
Because he’s old, doesn’t want to get hit and loves to drop the ball? And as has been pointed out by people in here before.....STOP THROWING DEEP BALLS TO ZAY JONES. Why is Desean Jackson on this roster if not for those plays?
Deep balls are not what Zay does well. The second one that was picked was definitely on Carr though. Not sure why he was even throwing that into double coverage on first down in that spot. I blame the OC for poor player usage. Deep balls to Zay Jones never end well. We have a guy on the roster that specializes in deep balls yet they rarely use him for that.
Right as I post, don’t blame zay.

That was me. And he still tracked that first one poorly. He sees the ball late over his shoulder, it's obvious. And I don’t want to hear about zay not tracking the ball well. @Chadstroma![]()

the first deep one to him was thrown to the wrong shoulder and way too far inside. On the pick, he overthrew him, with a safety deep, pretty easy pick.
he's running to the corner, carr throws it to the post. no way that's on zay. obviousThat was me. And he still tracked that first one poorly. He sees the ball late over his shoulder, it's obvious.

On the long ball at first I was wondering if he had a hard time tracking long balls... I was searching my memory and then saw the replay at different abgle and clearly Carr was off but he didn't adjust at all. DJax has made a career out of doing exactly that and he is supposed to help us with that whe we lost Ruggs everyone knew we needed something. Zay seems better at crossing routes.

Zay is a ball of effort. He can contribute but he isn't a star and doesn't excel on the deep ball. The first one I mentioned was 100% on carr as well. Zay was covered pretty well, but the ball was uncatchable
Zay did get the PI call.![]()
zay gives 100% effort, which is a good thing. I think Carr sees that and respects it. Djax curling into a little ball and falling to ground, to avoid being hit, on his first catch, made me scream at the tv.
Zay is not good tracking the long ball. What's the problem? His adjustments, if he does anything other than wave at the ball as it hits the ground in front of him in the direction he isn't running, come very late.he's running to the corner, carr throws it to the post. no way that's on zay. obvious
Agreed. And just 16 points against a replacement-level team!!I’m not a zay apologist. I’m just tired of carr and the offense’s mediocrity. Another game. 16 whole points.
Things worked out in the end but the Raiders should have been trying to methodically move down the field. There was no need to throw a deep pass into coverage.Deep balls are not what Zay does well. I had to work so I missed the 1st half, and the extremely biased reporting of the NFL Network only showed the Carlson FG for the only Raiders highlights. But there's no conspiracy, anyway...Basically I have no idea what happened. From what I saw, they were barely able to beat the Browns JV team. I know, I know, they're missing players too. Clearly this is not a playoff caliber team. Nice to see them gut out a win but that's about it.
Never said it was a strength. Just placing the blame where it should be, on those throws. On carr. Again, not a zay apologist.Zay is not good tracking the long ball. What's the problem? He has the athletic talent, otherwise he wouldn't be getting the opportunities but the long ball is definitely his weakness.

That bomb on 3 and 3 was an odd choice, at best. Especially the way the game was unfolding.Things worked out in the end but the Raiders should have been trying to methodically move down the field. There was no need to throw a deep pass into coverage.
Will be interesting to see who is brought in as HC and OC. Needs to be real coaches and not more hacks. That bomb on 3 and 3 was an odd choice, at best. Especially the way the game was unfolding.
Can I interest you in an old white retread? Ala Jason Garrett? Will be interesting to see who is brought in as HC and OC. Needs to be real coaches and not more hacks.
I know and I'm not a Carr apologist, but I think Zay is so limited in his over the shoulder tracking, I think it is tough to simply say Carr was off.Never said it was a strength. Just placing the blame where it should be, on those throws. On carr. Again, not a zay apologist.

One of those deep targets to Zay was mostly on Carr for sure but love him or hate him the deep ball is one of Carr's strengths. Wish he was as consistent in the 10-22 yard range as he is on anything shorter or longer.
Bringing in someone of another race that has failed or proven to be a below average coach would be preferable or even optimal? Can I interest you in an old white retread? Ala Jason Garrett?![]()

I heard the DC from the Colts name thrown out there the other day. I'm not going to even try to spell his name. But if they go defensive minded HC that probably means they clean house and Bradley and his staff would have to go. I think Bradley has done pretty good given the talent level of players he has to work with. Not Garrett. Please
I am pretty high on the Colts DC. Bradley is competent, but I would be fine if he was let go. He is very rigid in his scheme and I would prefer a guy that is more creative and blitzes more. Blitzing is just not really part of how Bradley runs a defense and his defenses are at the bottom of the league in blitz rate every year. I think offenses know exactly what they are getting from Bradley and his defenses are easier to attack for good OCs. If he has the players his defenses are decent enough, but he is not going to do more with less if the personnel is iffy.I heard the DC from the Colts name thrown out there the other day. A shame. I saw him walking off the field holding his hand out with his other hand, so I thought it was a broken hand or something, but I guess he was immobilizing his shoulder. See ya next year, kid. Keep studying.Abram undergoing season ending shoulder surgery.
I figured shoulder the way he was holding his arm and seeming stiff in the upper body.Abram undergoing season ending shoulder surgery.
If you can get pressure on the QB without blitzing then you don't need to blitz. Our pressure up the middle seems to have slowed which makes it harder in Yannick and Maxx. Ideally, you get the front 4 getting sacks and pressures and not blitzing much... blitz just enough to keep things fresh against the pass pro.I am pretty high on the Colts DC. He's done a decent job, but his defense is very predictable. Predictable defenses don't generate many sacks or turnovers. Raiders are 24th in sacks, last in interceptions and 25th in forced fumbles. It's also frustrating not being able to get off the field on third down which happens to the Raiders more than most teams. Bradley has held the defense together with some lost players.
The blow up is coming. Hang on.The honeymoon is ending with Bradley. Raiders are 30th in total d.
The d has been so bad, for so long, that it’s feels so much better this year. Not so much.
mehTodd Bowles getting a lot of buzz about getting an interview for HC.
