@JaxBill I'm looking at options for a last minute trip down for the Players with my son, looking at ticket options. Is the Champions Club you mentioned the same as the Patio Featuring Ultra Club?

If we do this we'll probably golf somewhere on Sat & Mon, and go to the final round Sunday (or swap Sat/Sun). May be looking for course suggestions also if I can pull this together.
So I booked everything...flights, hotel, bought tix for Players Sat round, tee times Sun & Mon. Last thing on my to-do list, what I thought would be the easiest, is a rental car. There are no cars to be found anywhere in or around Jacksonville. WTF???

I honestly don't know what to do.  :sadbanana:

eta, arriving Friday at 4pm, leaving same time Monday - just in case anyone has ideas on finding me a car.

turo.com

It's like AirBNB for cars.

Maybe I just live in my own little world, but for the life of me....I have NO idea why anyone would rent their car out for 25 bucks a day (which presumably is split with Turo)

Thankfully I'm in a position in life where 20 bucks doesn't make or break my day, but the whole concept is just strange to me. The upside is....$20  bucks? The downside is someone wrecks (or even just scratches) your car and then you need to spend all the time and effort to work the situation out. (even though it looks like Turo provides insurance)

I was just curious and looked on the website and some dude in LA is willing to rent out his Lambo for $320.  It looks like Turo takes 25%. If you have the means to own a Lambo (and presumably dont need it all that often, as you're renting it out) why do you need $240 so badly?

And Harris English WD's at the last minute. My first kick in the coconuts. Ruins my Milly Maker at DK and hopefully will become a cancelled bet at betonline.

As JT is hitting his tee shot on 17 some ones phone started ringing as he was in the middle of his swing, he put it long into the water.

This Duval / Obernholtzer duo on the desk is pretty good. Knowledgeable without being condescending
Duval was always one of the most boring guys on tour, zero personality. Was surprised to see him end up in the booth but he's gotten much more comfortable.

Anyone know if PGA or ESPN keep track of number of balls in the water at 17?  Asking for my sportsbook acct.
They just showed 22 so far on the webcast, but that might have been a replay of Byeong Hun An which was a little while back

ETA - NVM that's KH Lee that put #22 in, and I think I heard them say 23 from that same group.

:lmao: there were FIFTY in the first round in 2007

I have a good feeling they are going over 50 today, I've been watching most of the day on Sky Sports Golf and there's a steady barrage of balls going in. Maybe 20 minutes ago the entire 3some went in the water

Just said 26 now.  Not sure how many groups still on the course.

400 consecutive holes for Spieth without a double bogey. Longest active streak on tour.

I would not have guessed that
Shocking stat! He’s such a grinder and I think he feels less pressure on a 10-footer for bogey than a 5-footer for par. He’s been hitting it well, especially his avg distance when off fairways.

I think the afternoon gusts will settle Sergio back to the pack tomorrow. I used to fly a stunt kite on those beaches and the wind gets fierce as the day goes on.

Gonna be a busy morning for grounds crew. Groups finishing round 1 on both nines while round 2 tees off both 1 and 10.

The afternoon doesn't seem to be as tough as we thought...overall a lot of hovering around E on the front.

Added Charlie this morning at 23-1. When Hoffman gets that spaceman look in his eyes he can go really low. Makes you wonder what he had for breakfast.

The 3s and 5s get all the attention, but the Par 4s on this course are brutal. A few short ones tossed in but lots of length and waste bunkers and small greens. Not sure what the stats say on how they rank.
