Spieth must have heard all of Sir Nick's jokes about his ball being lost, the search party also being lost so he hits a provisional. But there his ball is, jail, but certainly not lost.

 
9th Hole Summary: Smith makes a double, Spieth triples, Morikawa dents the back of the cup from 37 feet to save par.

He just one handed that 3 wood off the tee. At first I thought he was gonna be the woodsman again from the other side but the drive hugged the fairway and now he has a great line at bouncing back, go JS!

 
This penalty on Abraham Ancer.....BRUTAL. Dude was assessed 2 shots for moving like 4 grains of sand on his back swing.

Pretty sure there’s a new rule they can no longer call a penalty bc of a fan or anyone else watched it in super slow mo & zoomed in.

Inexplicably, though, they called this even though that same new rule states the violation has to be visible to the naked eye. Now you can (see) from the video it is a violation. But you only see that when it’s blown up to the point you only see 4-5” of the hosel and the head of the wedge. Personally, I had to watch that several times AND check the comments for a description. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. But honestly doesn’t seem to be either the spirit or the letter of the new rule.

Rose feeling the leader gravity and falling back to earth. 4 bogies in first 7 holes and I think he just drove the bunker on 8. His lead is 1.

 
i am sad we dont get to see my main man koepka at his best but its impressive that he is out there gutting it out on one leg take that to the bank bromigos 

 
i have to say it i would not mind if they did two masters every year it is pretty damn nice having this thing every six months that is all i am sayin take that to the bank bromigos

Cant believe he’s still only 25, seems like he’s been around forever. Guess bc he was 17-1/2 when he made it through Q-school (youngest ever.) Don’t think he’s ever had a top ten in a major but won a WGC + The Players.

Lot of good stories just waiting to be written in the top ten.
