Not to defend Hurts, because he's been awful, but if you're calling plays and see/know all of the above, then why call 3-5 run plays for an entire game? Why put the entire weight of the offense on that QB's shoulders? Assuming Sanders misses time it won't matter much going forward, but the past 5 weeks worth of terrible game plans were inexcusable.
It’s hard for me to say game plans are sucky when there’s guys running open a lot. I agree we should run more when he’s struggling but at the same time he has to hit these guys.
His passing issues are well documented. Now what’s starting to show it’s head is just how bad he is at reading the RPO’s too. It’s hard to run an offense when the QB has played this bad but we definitely should be running and featuring Sanders more at the same time.
