2022 Philadelphia Eagles - Leave Gannon in Arizona and let’s run through the NFC again in 2023. (2 Viewers)

REAGOR WITH A CATCH!
I've heard he's had a pretty great camp. Like, no longer on the roster bubble, and possibly fighting for the #3 WR spot.
ya, tough to know. They're talking on the broadcast that he's on the roster bubble or is being showcased for trade, so it's tough to know. But I think with JJAW gone, Reagor will get another shot. I'm cheering for him to turn it around.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm under the impression he's their top return guy too.

I think he is, ya. But he was underwhelming at it last year.

I'd think Quez and Pascal are a top of him right now but I'm now hopeful he can contribute as WR4 and a good Returner.

Deon Cain 5/66 on 7 targets today. I saw three of these catches and all were great away from the body catches on timing routes that were delivered and caught perfectly (two from Minshew and one from Sinnett in the second half). His body control and hands looked great on these catches and he probably would have caught these against any one-on-one corner the way he positioned himself on the routes. Today it was against second-third string guys against Cleveland. Good size, listed 6-2 202, 6th round pick out of Clemson with good stats, IR his rookie year and been bouncing around practice squads since.

Not familiar with him, any thoughts on this guy? Buried in the depth chart for now, so maybe nothing here behind Hightower and Ward, but then i see Reagor still listed ahead of him and he's no Reagor.

It's really tough to judge just what we see on TV. Remember when many people here were screaming at how Fulgham was great and should be getting more playing time and that our coaches were dumb for not using him? The guy can't even make a single roster in the league now.

So, a lot of chatter by some beats and insiders, that the Eagles and Browns may be working a Kareem Hunt trade.

The logic seems to be:
1. Miles Sanders is already hurt and its more serious than Philly is letting on (as in week 1 is unlikely)
2. With the Watson suspension extended, the Browns are more willing to deal a role player who isn't likely to be back in 2023.
3. The Eagles have a bunch of draft capital, and the Browns don't.
4. The Browns are comfortable with Johnson and Ford behind Chubb.

Sounds like the Browns want a 3rd and the Eagles would prefer a 4th. Again, just a rumor, but one that makes a ton of sense for both teams.

They can keep the women beater. He goes perfect with the rapist QB they have now. I want Chubb or no deal.

Also don't believe much in the rumor. I think Howie wants to keep most of his picks for a loaded QB draft in the coming.

Maybe the Eagles are looking for an RB but unless we are giving up a late round pick for this clown no thank you. I think the Eagles are looking for a cheaper deal than this. Only a rumor because it makes sense. Hunt probably won't be back and Sanders is hurt.

Also is it me or do PSU RBs just like to talk? First we had Miles talking and then we got former KC Chief Larry Johnson with his conspiracy theories etc and now Barkley is yapping.
Its probably not fair to lump Sanders or Barkley in with Larry Johnson. Johnson might be a legitimately disturbed person.

I agree with that a lot of CTE damage in there. I think my point was these guys no matter who seem pretty soft and get triggered easily. Barkley is upset people are calling him injury prone. Um that legit out of 64 games he's missed 21 or so a full season plus some and has been in and out of games on a consistent bases in games he's played.

Sanders has been inconsistent since entering the league. Some of that is usage from the coaches however he's also dealt with some injuries as well. I don't think anything said about these 2 guys negatively is not unfair at this point. It's put up or shut up time for them.
I wouldn't assume/blame CTE for Johnson at all. He's been like this since he was at Penn St. Any head injuries obviously wouldn't help, but its not the cause.

Barkley has had some really bad luck. That ankle injury could have happened to anybody ever, it was the flukiest injury I've maybe ever seen. I'm also not gonna hold a torn ACL against him either, those happen, especially to RBs. I can get on him for underachieving and being a soft-ish runner for a 230 pounder, but I don't think he's really all that injury prone.

Sanders is a tougher nut to crack. He is somebody who seems a bit injury prone, and while he's averaged over 5 YPC the last 2 seasons (only Chubb and Taylor have too) he's had the benefit of a great OL, and at least last season, teams more focused on the QB running.

I agree on Larry there.

Barkley is considered injury prone like it or not now in the NFL. DOesn't matter if the injury could happen to anyone etc. I'm talking more in terms what NFL people view right now and he's injury prone. He's also a soft runner for his size but he was always like that even in college.

I think Sanders is more of a credit to a great offensive Line. He's not a great north/south runner and a worse line I think he doesn't break off some of the runs he does. Is he explosive and talented at times? Sure but both he and Barkley since college have always had happy feet East to West runners. or as I like to call it The Shady McCoy Shuffle since McCoy use to dance in the backfield similar. Follow your blocks.

I didn't watch much of the game other then some of the first drive and Scott TD. I had a prior engagement. I saw Allen had a long TD catch. Will go back and stream the game later. Sucks I have to watch on my phone and can't stream it on my computer or anything. NFL is really screwing the fans over with this service you now have to pay for just to watch the local TV provider streams on your phone.

You didn't miss much. Gainwell and cain looked good. Defense was kinda blah. Not much to take out of this imo

NFL+ has a condensed version which is like 37 mins long. So I'm just going to watch that.

The needle is starting to move for me on Jalen Hurts, been slow to praise him or hype anything he does but I like the additions, OL, decent stable of talent at RB, solid TE option and now you have AJB on top of The Slim Reaper on top of other investments at receiver even if they have thus far underperformed.

A soft schedule and I start liking Jalen Hurts, not in the true NFL sense but just the greedy SOB that I am, seems like he might have real value and allow for some others to fly off the board and not wince as much when its your turn to take a QB.

Fantasy wise he can be one of the better QBs do to his rushing ability. However Real life on the Field leaves a lot less to be desired at times.

Former HS QB transfered to WR in College FR year at Clemson. Was suspended for the '15 orange Bowl & '16 Natty Game do to a drug Suspension. Cain went undrafted in 18 forgoing his SR season when he should've stayed. Indy signed him so he has Familiarity with Sirianni. Went on IR after that made his debut in 19. Went to Steelers the following year and last year was with the Ravens In Nov signed with Eagles Practice Squad.

Decent X WR probably needs more time to develop, Could be a PS guy they call up on Game Days

I agree that was true in 2021, but we haven't seen the '22 version of him yet. Another year in the offense and better weapons and he could be much improved. 23 year old QBs in their first season starting generally aren't finished products. Let's see where he is mid-season.

Cain was a 6th rd pick by Indy and was impressing in his rookie training until he tore his ACL in the first preseason game.

Strong consensus that MIA outperformed the Eagles on both sides of the ball in joint practice.

Also, soft tissue injuries, particularly hamstrings, seem to be piling up as the season approaches. Sanders, Bradberry, and now Slay.

Looks like a pick swap for JJAW. We gave up a 7th and Amadi for a 6th.

Not much in the end, but definitely more than bupkis we were going to get by inevitably cutting him.

Little info on Hunt and the RB situation.

Talked to someone in the know this morning. Much was made out of nothing with the Hunt thing. Nick and Hunt had a casual personal convo. Don't know details other then Nick said he was happy to see him turn things around after his incident. Nothing more. Eagles aren't interested in Hunt do to information they received prior when Hunt was cut. Eagles didn't like how Hunt lied to Andy Reid's face about the incident. Eagles Org has tremendous respect for Big Red and Howie and company asked for info on Hunt after his release from people inside the org and apparently had a brief but beneficial conversation with Andy as well. Eagles don't want a guy who will lie to their face and can't be trusted. Trading for him now to them would seem like a slap in the face to Coach Reid. Media Made a whole lot out of nothing there. Also Cleveland despite Hunt's request for a trade has informed teams they aren't trading him and if they did they want at least 2 high draft picks for him. Not sure if this is what they really want or Browns way to tell teams we aren't trading him unless you give us an offer you can't refuse.

Eagles aren't looking to spend big on a RB if they get one. Most likely will scour the market on released RBs or trade for a guy who they can get for a late round pick and see how they do. Some in the org are soaring on Miles Sanders do to the injury and regret not trying to trade him last year at the deadline or this offseason. If Miles does extend at all look for it to be on their terms and very team friendly. Person said he wouldn't be shocked if Miles can't find a market he signs a 1 yrs deal with the Eagles and test the market the following year.

With Tyron Smith now out for maybe the season in Dallas, would you trade them Dillard? And if so, for how much? Would think the asking price would be ridiculous if they're going to help their only competition in the division.

Division trades are rare. And I don't think Smith has played that much recently anyways, has he?

Dillard isn't going anywhere. Eagles love their line depth. One thing fans and media don't understand is the Eagles aren't going to trade valuable line guys. No offense but I laugh when people usually suggest this or trading Minshew. Those are positions highly valued by the team and aren't trading that valued depth

Yep. The former Rotoworld said:

It is yet another injury setback for a player who has been limited to 13 games over the past two seasons and has not made more than 13 appearances since 2015.

Devon Allen may have won himself a job with that Special teams play as a gunner. That was more of an impact contribution then Jalen Reagor has made on Special teams since he got in the league.

Vegas says Cowboys are favorites but this is the Eagles division and it's not close.
Still not gonna buy in until I see something. Last year this team didn't look like it belonged against ANY half-decent team. They werent even competitive against the Cowboys. Maybe they've improved...but I'll need to see it on game day first.

I would say it's just preseason but 48-10, never seen Miami ever do that in any preseason game I can ever remember.

The practices leading up to this, one was canceled but the other was reported that Miami was clearly better in the scrimmage that was held. I am not rubbing this in but merely posing the question that if Philly is a 10-13 game winner as @Stuart Ullman proclaims, then what is Miami being projected at in terms of wins? Is Tua better or worse than Hurts?

Sorry Coach M&M ran up the score, poor sportsmanship ;)
I just want AJBrown in my redrafts, big fan of his talent and i think Philly is going to be very happy with their ROI.

Good luck in '22

if all of Miami's opponents agree to only play 2nd and 3rd stringers all year, I think you will be in for a hell of a season.

Jags stomped the Cowboys, and the Texans crushed the Packers in the preseason last year. I wouldn't read too much into 48-10. That said I also dont think the Eagles are a 13 game winner, so...

Lane Johnson didn’t crack the NFL Top 100 once again.

But, this NFL.com writer thinks it’s fine because Lane “had his time in the sun” when he barely made it once, 4 years ago
Oh, and the Eagles OLine, which many consider among the very best in the league, is “well represented” because Kelce did make the list.

Just admit it was a straight up slight and stop trying to justify it, doofus.

Dude looks like he was that guy in HS who never made the football team, ended up writing for the school paper and all the jocks stuffed him in his locker constantly. Obviously he's projecting past failures out.

Carson Strong and Jason Huntley cut. Could see Huntely through to the PS. They gave Strong an enormous $320k to sign as an UDFA and word from camp is that they overpaid by $320k.

He was that bad? I was wondering why he barely got any game time
I'd love to know what happened with Strong. Everything I read was that his knee was the only reason he wasn't drafted, but the Eagles coaches didn't seem to have any interest in using him. Either there is a disconnect between Howie and the coaches or he wasn't nearly as good in camp as he looked in college.
