2023-2024 NBA Salary Cap Draft - SECOND Annual Battle for the Wikkid Cup - Preseason Rankings are In! (2 Viewers)

I'm guard and big heavy, so I'll take a player I like that is more of a wing player and has a pretty nice salary to boot.

Deni Avdija SF/PF WAS

I'm at work and can't update the google sheet if someone doesn't mind doing that.

@nysfl2 you are up

Nice defender and glue type - if he can figure out his shot, he's pretty darn valuable.

Guess I didn’t have as much to catch up to today as I thought. I was worried I was holding things up since my meeting/conference today is a lot more involved than I thought and I can’t multitask. Maybe I’ll do some drunk picks later while out drinking with the sales guys who can still expense alcohol.

8.12 Tari Eason, $3,527,160

Injured right now, but had a great rookie season and a guy I think will be a really good player in the league. Good defense, good rebounding, some upside with his 3pt shot.
I thought I could snag him later what with the injury and all. Should have known better.

If PIK gets his in the next five minutes, I'll follow immediately. If not, I headed home and will pick in about 30 minutes.

I was really disappointed when the Celts traded Neismith. Great shooter, energy, and dives all over after loose balls. First the Celtics traded Neismith and I did not speak out....

Because it wasn't Marcus Smart.

Need a good wing defender to come in off of the bench. Plus his scoring has improved and he has always been a good rebounder.

Isaac Okoro, Swing, Clev. $8,920,794

For some reason I thought he went earlier. I always confuse the O named guys.

This is hard to do without my main cheat sheet file.

8.16 - Jonas Valanciunas - C, NOR
$15,435,000

Time to go big. Everyone shifts in the lineup and I still have enough shooting to make it work.

Team Trader Jake
8.17 BOS SF Sam Hauser $1.9 mil

Good bench wing for cheap. Hit 42% from deep last season with a positive bpm on both offense and defense.

Hauser uses anticipation and his length on defense, can move off the ball on offense, and unlike some good bench players he knows his role.

My daughter went to Marquette so I followed the Hauser brothers' careers since they were freshmen. I never would have expected Sam to have an NBA career although he could always shoot the lights out.

I hear ya. Live in the Milwaukee area myself.

Outside of the all-star level players and a handful of elite athletes the difference between an NBA rotation and playing overseas isn't as big as many seem to believe. If I'm an NBA GM I'd lean toward the guy with the higher work ethic and an ability to mix in with his teammates.

Helps when they make ~$2 mil as well. 😄

You're spending like a college kid
He's not worried about money ... he's worried about Son of Yo Mama. We don't need Grandson of Yo Mama in one of these deciding which of LeBron's kids to take in the 10th round.
