and those are all solid to very good players. I know people hate Harden but he's been a top 10 player in the league - and you did leave out Jimmy Butler who has shown he can carry a team to a Championship series.
I don't think the Sixers have had a crap roster for a long time now. I'm not saying Embid isn't good enough to lead a team to a Championship, but I don't think Philadelphia has failed him - their roster has been in at least the Top 4 of the East for the last few years now.

Out of curiosity, I performed some cipherin' on Wemby's ppm stats. Through his first 41 games, he's averaging 0.72 points ppm; since he tuned 20 (12 games ago) , it's 0.92 points/min. Can't even imagine what these numbers might balloon to as he matures, both physically and mentally, and FO provides him with a huge upgrade in surrounding talent.
There was a good Hollinger article on points scored inflation over the last 10 or so years in the Athletic yesterday.

Not even 2 years ago, Brogdon got moved to BOS for Aaron Nesmith, Daniel Theis, Nik Stauskus, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan, and a first. Not sure his value dropped from that down to 2 seconds.
The only way Brogdon could end up on Boston again before the year waiting period i up is if he gets traded somewhere else first. If POR traded him to another franchise, then his eligibility would be reinstated for Boston (say if that other team bought him out). But he can't be traded from POR back to BOS, not could they sign him if POR bought him out. The Celtics don't have the cap flexibility to bring him back and take on his $22.6 million salary without making other moves to disrupt their main rotation, so Brogdon going back to Boston really isn't that realistic.

He's 2 years older, and has continued his ability to not stay healthy. Nesmith has certainly turned into a very good player, but he was a throw in for salary purposes. Indy basically got the 29th pick in last year's draft. Two good seconds are probably a better asset than the 29th pick

Nesmith was the 14th pick in 2020 and as you said the Pacers got the 29th pick last year. IMO, that's almost the equivalent of two firsts.
Brogdon is 31, is averaging 28 minutes, and is on pace to play in 65 games. What is that worth? Who knows. I guess it depends on how much someone wants him and what they think he will contribute.
It's hard to figure out a market for Brogdon, as non-playoff teams likely won't want him (age, health, and contract concerns). Teams in the hunt might want him and could use him . . . but their picks would likely fall in the back of each round of the draft. Those teams may also not be able to acquire him (cap room and luxury tax threshold issues).

A few years ago, my wife and I were at a party with a number of her childhood friends. They were talking about some of their sleepovers in elementary school and the themed pajamas they used to wear including Wonder Woman and Princess Leia Underoos. Of course, this was in earshot of my phone, and I kept getting pop ups and links on where to find great deals on young girl PJs and sleepwear. That lasted for at least a week. Anyone that saw my phone would have really questioned what I had been searching for.

That challenge by Portland was one of the weirdest I’ve seen. Refs don’t see who the ball goes off of so they call it a jump ball. Replay seemed to be obviously off Lopez so Portland challenges it. It takes forever to review and they finally come back and say Bucks ball as a different view shows it going off a Portland player. But Portland wins the challenge because the call is overturned - they keep the challenge but Bucks get the ball.

But yet he has been known as a bad locker room guy and has forced his way out of a couple of places.
The only reason he has a shot at the HOF is that one championship. Honestly, I think he's not lived up to his abilities for the most part. Guy has been one of the best ball handlers and pure scorers in league history for about a decade, but doesn't have a lot to show for it.

Yup. He's a terrible defender of course, and I think that's part of it. But clearly there's more to it.
It's kind of surprising, as I thought his ritual of burning sage around the court pregame would have resolved these lingering issues.

While not the same position, he's always reminding me of a Carmelo Anthony type player. Great scorer but cancer of a teammate who can make a team competitive but never take them to the next level.
