Now Embiid is ducking Portland too? Not my MVP!
This doesn’t seem true. Crappy? He hasn't won in the playoffs because he has had crappy teams around him
Maybe a little harsh. Not championship caliber? His best teammates have been Harden and Harris (now Maxey). This doesn’t seem true. Crappy? He hasn't won in the playoffs because he has had crappy teams around him
and those are all solid to very good players. I know people hate Harden but he's been a top 10 player in the league - and you did leave out Jimmy Butler who has shown he can carry a team to a Championship series.Maybe a little harsh. Choosing Ben Simmons over Jimmy Butler set them back 2-3 seasonsand those are all solid to very good players. I don't think the Sixers have had a crap roster for a long time now. I'm not saying Embid isn't good enough to lead a team to a Championship, but I don't think Philadelphia has failed him - their roster has been in at least the Top 4 of the East for the last few years now.
4th place is the 3rd loser.#4?Youngest players to score 6,000 points in the NBA:
1. Lebron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Anthony Edwards
I'm more surprised that Trae Young is 5thI was surprised when they were discussing Zion last night that if he had played enough games to qualify, he would rank 4th all time in points per minute played.
Embiid - 0.872
Luka - 0.818
MJ - 0.7874
Zion - 0.7867
Trae - 0.752
Gervin - .0747
KD - 0.744
Mitchell - 0.726
Steph - 0.721
Freeman William - 0.717
LeBron - 0.715
Booker - .714
Giannis - .708
Harden - .702

Out of curiosity, I performed some cipherin' on Wemby's ppm stats. Through his first 41 games, he's averaging 0.72 points ppm; since he tuned 20 (12 games ago) , it's 0.92 points/min. Can't even imagine what these numbers might balloon to as he matures, both physically and mentally, and FO provides him with a huge upgrade in surrounding talent.I was surprised when they were discussing Zion last night that if he had played enough games to qualify, he would rank 4th all time in points per minute played.

Even compared to 10 years ago, the changes are mind-boggling. Consider: The LA Clippers led the NBA in scoring in 2013-14 at 107.9 points per game; that figure this season would put them 29th, a tenth of a point ahead of last-place Memphis. The Clips also had the league’s most efficient offense that season, at 112.1 points per 100 possessions; that figure would put them 25th this season.
A couple seconds for Brogdon. But Brogdon and Grant should make nice trade chips soon.
I blame Joe Biden. There was a good Hollinger article on points scored inflation over the last 10 or so years in the Athletic yesterday.

Could Boston could get Brogdon back? Salary matching would probably make it impossible without losing one of their other top 8 guys.A couple seconds for Brogdon. But Brogdon and Grant should make nice trade chips soon.
Maybe one first and some bad salary for Grant

Can't go back to Boston anyway, right? Can't go back to team traded from for a year I thinkCould Boston could get Brogdon back? ETA - yeah, that's impossible. A girl can dream though...
Not even 2 years ago, Brogdon got moved to BOS for Aaron Nesmith, Daniel Theis, Nik Stauskus, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan, and a first. Not sure his value dropped from that down to 2 seconds.A couple seconds for Brogdon. But Brogdon and Grant should make nice trade chips soon.

He's 2 years older, and has continued his ability to not stay healthy. Nesmith has certainly turned into a very good player, but he was a throw in for salary purposes. Indy basically got the 29th pick in last year's draft. Two good seconds are probably a better asset than the 29th pickNot even 2 years ago, Brogdon got moved to BOS for Aaron Nesmith, Daniel Theis, Nik Stauskus, Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan, and a first. Nesmith was the 14th pick in 2020 and as you said the Pacers got the 29th pick last year. IMO, that's almost the equivalent of two firsts. He's 2 years older, and has continued his ability to not stay healthy. I dunno - A first round pick from three years ago who was severely underperforming and who was due a new contract is not an equivalent of a future first.Nesmith was the 14th pick in 2020 and as you said the Pacers got the 29th pick last year. IMO, that's almost the equivalent of two firsts.
Now Embiid is ducking Portland too? Not my MVP!
I sure wish teams would stop treating Portland like a preseason game. These meaningless victories are bad for draft business.
But Brogdon and Grant should make nice trade chips soon.
Maybe Miami could come a callin....rough January for Humidity Culture.
How many fouls should have been called in this 4 second clip?

You guys are on year one. I was planning my wedding. Now I have a child in mine school.
Ben Simmons returned with a near triple double.

Ohhh, tell me about mine school please!
Unless it's a typo and that should be mime school, in which case, just use characters and plenty of deliberate spaces between them.

I love posting during boring pointless meetings. I hate that my phone seems to know I am trying to post quickly during meetings!
A few years ago, my wife and I were at a party with a number of her childhood friends. They were talking about some of their sleepovers in elementary school and the themed pajamas they used to wear including Wonder Woman and Princess Leia Underoos. Of course, this was in earshot of my phone, and I kept getting pop ups and links on where to find great deals on young girl PJs and sleepwear. That lasted for at least a week. Anyone that saw my phone would have really questioned what I had been searching for. That's okay, my phone heard me and now it's full of adds for mime schools in Paris.

Dynamite updates, fellas. Glad I stopped in.
I was trying to be funny. Guess I failed.Dynamite updates, fellas. Glad I stopped in.
Damn dude. Everything okay?
I see 2. The first arm hack by and then the shot to the face. Everything else would have been pretty weak.

I am very not sure.KD's return to Brooklyn gives me cause to crow about how my decade-long hatred of Kyrie Irving was totally validated during my absence.
Dude has now ruined THREE different rosters that otherwise were easily good enough to contend. Truly a remarkable legacy. I'm sure things will work out in Dallas, though.![]()
I'm curious where we would rank him if it wasn't for that Cleveland championship?KD's return to Brooklyn gives me cause to crow about how my decade-long hatred of Kyrie Irving was totally validated during my absence.

He's better than the likes of John Wall/Gilbert Arenas/Kemba Walker, but he's nowhere near Curry or CP3. Based on advanced metrics, he's been a top 20 guy most of his career and has 3 all-NBA teams as well as 8 all-star selections. But yet he has been known as a bad locker room guy and has forced his way out of a couple of places.
The only reason he has a shot at the HOF is that one championship. Honestly, I think he's not lived up to his abilities for the most part. Guy has been one of the best ball handlers and pure scorers in league history for about a decade, but doesn't have a lot to show for it.
Somehow, BBRef has him as a higher probability to make the HOF than Jokic and Kawhi. It also has Anthony Davis ahead of all 3 of them plus Giannis, which I find a baffling miscalculation in their formula.I'm curious where we would rank him if it wasn't for that Cleveland championship?KD's return to Brooklyn gives me cause to crow about how my decade-long hatred of Kyrie Irving was totally validated during my absence.

It would be cool if we got to watch him play tooKyrie is still my favorite player to watch playing basketball. I find his game incredibly fun to watch. He sucks as a person though
FTFYMaybe Kyrie should try playingwith a flatbasketballinstead of a round one.
