Got to have an SEC team in the playoff
Absolutely
Even when it's the worst SEC field in years?
Have to have a team from the SEC in it. Regardless of how bad it’s been this year compared to other years, I don’t see any of these teams beating Bama or UGA. Maybe Texas.
So if we have 3 undefeated conference winners and a conference winner who went to Alabama and beat them, we should still put Alabama in? That makes no sense to me.
That same conference winner that beat Alabama has by far the worst loss out of the one-loss teams. So when you compare losses, losing to a two-loss Oklahoma team isn’t the best look imo.
Doesn't that make Alabama's loss to Texas look even worse? They lost to the team with the worst loss!
lol! It does! That’s why I said if you really want the best one-loss team, it has to be Ohio State. Only loss to the number 1 team in the nation, in a close game, at their house. Each team has its own argument.

Nobody can watch this first quarter and think FSU is one of the 4 best teams in the country. That how it makes sense. I’m hoping the SEC is out but not seeing it.
FSU was eliminated when UGA lost.

:lmao: might as well go back to the single game championship and put Michigan against Washington.

Funny but kind of a year it might make sense

I don’t see a way FSU gets in. Even if they win by 50 tonight. That UGA loss was the worst thing that could’ve happened to them. UGA wins, FSU wins, Mich wins, it would’ve been an easy choice. 4 undefeated teams, no discussion. Now, I see chaos and a lot of upset people. I honestly think UGA still gets in. They would be favored in any game at a neutral site against any team in the nation. Hard to leave them out.
Georgia is out unless fsu and UM lose tonight.
I think UGA is in. Perhaps even over Alabama. But definitely over FSU, 2 time defensing champs. only loss is by 3 to an ALA team that is playing great right now. OSU = no shot Nobody cares about the B10. Two good teams and a ton of chumps.

There’s zero chance that happens.
I think the rankings will be:
1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. Georgia
4. Bama
Not trying to be a prick, but you are gonna be way wrong.

That’s fine. I usually am. Have my own opinion like everyone else.

Could say the same thing about Alabama last week against Auburn.

I didn’t think TCU deserved to be in last year after their loss. I didn’t think they would get in, I was wrong.

1. UM
2, WASH
3, ALA
4. UGA

That's the real rankings. Whether or not they slide in FSU or Texas is the question. I think Texas has some weak wins. 29-26 over a bad TCU team. 33-30 over KSt in OT. 31-24 over HOU. Loss to OK. FSU will likley get in if they manage to win this game, but they no longer look like a top team

UGA beats UM by like 30.
ALA beats WAS by 7.

UGA/ALA final. As God intended

Maybe your backup QB should get more practice snaps during the year so he doesn't look like he's never played before

FSU +1600 to make the playoffs. Part of that is the chance they might lose tonight, but it looks like I was wrong yesterday - they are likely out regardless

I will legitimately feel bad for FSU fans if it happens but it’s what I expect if they mange to win.

When do we find out? I can’t wait to listen to all the UGA fans either say they are definitely in or give some logic for why they should be.

That seems nuts to me - what book is that? Fanduel has FSU +1300 to win the playoffs.

So I haven't really followed Iowa ...just the jokes about the offense... How did they win 10 games of it's that bad? Was there injuries?

Because the B10 sucks except for 2 teams. PSU can't beat anyone good. WIS is in a downtime. What other juggernauts do they play? Iowa State? Rutgers? Northwestern? illinois? Nebraska? The league is a joke beyond the 2-3 teams. Other than OSU the recruiting isn't there. There are probably 8 teams from the southern part of the country with more 4/5 star recruits than the entire B10 conference. And likely two of the teams in the Pac10 have more as well.

AS an ACC guy whose team could use some extra coin from an ACC team making the playoffs, there's no chance FSU could win against UGA, ALA, or OSU. None.
Exactly. They have to pick a side, deserving or best teams. If UGA would’ve won, it would’ve been easy. 4 undefeated teams, no discussion, easy. Now, FSU looks awful. No way they get in. Convo switches to best teams.

Well they already beat LSU and Florida in the SEC. All these mental gymnastics have no leg to stand on other than S-E-C, S-E-C, S-E-C.

If FSU wins, 13-0 conference champion with non-conference wins against LSU and Florida. This shouldn't even be a debate to be honest. The ACC went 6-4 against the SEC too.

Another thing with FSU. Everyone wants to judge them on tonight's game only. The concussed QB that beat Florida will be back for the playoffs and their defense is pretty damn good shutting out Louisville.

I hope FSU loses because I don’t think the committee keeps a power five undefeated conference champion out of the playoffs but it’s obvious they are not a top four team with their QB out. Whoever gets them in the first round is like a bye.

If FSU and UM win, it should be

Washington
Michigan
FSU
Texas

But it will be

Washington
Michigan
FSU
Alabama

The problem with the "the SEC is down this year" argument is we've had that as the prevailing thought before and then the SEC teams went in and blew out the Washington or Notre Dame or Michigan or whomever those years anyway, so now the "SEC is down this year" argument is harder for the committee to buy even though I agree this is the year where it is actually the case.

People will latch on to that, and Bama having a better overall resume than Texas (three top 15 wins vs one, lost to a top 5 team vs top 15 team, etc) even though I think the resumes are close enough that H2H should be the tiebreaker, especially given that the game was played at Bama.
