If Michigan focuses on their TEs, it will be a good day

On the tisd road

I know Harbaugh made the trip, is he on the sideline for this game?

Nice stop there…
No
He might be in disguise
Kinda surprised the rumors havent already started

If I was a Penn State fan and was at the game I would have dressed up like him just for the laughs.
With a walkie talkie... whispering and not talking to anyone in the stands.

found him

Franklin never seems to hep his team win. Only hurts them
Lol. He’s terrible. I told my son as soon as he went for 2 (it wasn’t even close), they’d regret it. They never got the ball back but you miss two pointers in a close game and guess what you are down 9 instead of 7. Way too early to go for 2 against a solid red zone defense.

He’s also not good developing QBs. That freshman looks terrible. I’ve only watched him today and against OSU. Seems like their QB play always holds them back.

Why not kick the extra point to get it to 8?
I assume that they'd kick the ball and play defense if they got the 2-point conversion, and go for the onside kick if it failed.

I think that one was the right call. Of course, they wouldn't have needed it if not for the dumb decision to go for 2 in the first half.

0 passes in the second half. Welcome to 1933.
If they're going to give it to you, why not take it?

UM had a long run-only FG drive and then punted 3 times before PSU started going for it on 4th - not sure Michigan took much. PSU’s offense was just putrid.
I'd guess Michigan's adjustment on offense was due to the latter. The game was called as if they only needed 20 points to win.

Yeah, I take no issue with the go for 2 decision late. The play call was laugh out loud bad, but that's the spot to go for 2. Unlike in the 1st half...

Don’t totally disagree but it was still a one score game late - they had opportunities to put the game away sooner if they were a little more expansive.

He actually had a guy get open late in the front right of the end zone who was waving his hands around. QB just never even looked at him.

I wasn't thrilled about it either. It isn't a new approach and lends itself to the opposition being one fluke play away from getting back in the game. I've just adapted to that strategy emerging at least a couple times per year and stressing me out.

PSU line was giving Michigan fits early and often. Yeah, this is flashes of what would happen a few years ago, but for different reasons and now with personnel that can actually execute and do what needs to be done.

The 1st half 2 pointer was the problem. The second one was fine as you knew you were going to have to convert a 2 regardless so you may as well try it on the first TD so you know if you should onside kick or kick it deep.

But going for 2 in the first half to try and make it a 3pt game was really dumb.
