2023 Philadelphia Eagles - Complete waste of a season finally comes to an end. (10 Viewers)

No way Shaq Leonard watched that game and wants any part of being associated with our LB room.
Why not? He knows he'd play every down.
He’s no longer the prime player he was. Before today the expectation when bringing him in should be he hopefully gives you solid, to occasionally above-average, play as part of the LB group. After today, it will be that he comes in and fixes a major flaw in this D. That’s a no-win situation for him at this stage in his career and injury issues.

Neither us nor DAL will be breaking the bank to make an offer so both $ options will be in the same neighborhood. That’s why I think he will go to DAL where those unrealistic expectations will be on him.
I think if you're an NFL player, you still think you're the Man otherwise you wouldn't keep playing. He gets a starting job and thinks he can be the dude to save the position for a super bowl team.

I’m not an NFL player, but I still think I’m the man.

If I had to choose, right now, after watching that game which team I signed with, I’d be shouting out Parsons and Bland on insta.

49rs just in a different tier by themselves. Eagles may be in a second tier by themselves. But it’s a big gap. Don’t see it closing barring injuries
Eagles got dominated today. Their Defense is not going to stop all that talent, with Shanny’s playcalling.

I do think the Eagles can score on the 9ers. They got outplayed today, but they have the ponies to win a game against them.

Playoffs still many weeks away. Who knows what may happen

The issues I’ve talked about all year and told to ignore came true. Hoping this loss helps show people how much help we still need.

I also hope todays situation in the game thread proved I’m an eagles fan to some doubters but I doubt some will still believe it. Not really surprised with SF they are soft organization and ownership is soft too. Reason why Harbaugh left was because of the babying of Kaepernick the ownership gave and Harbaugh didn’t like the amount of no accountability the org was showing for players.

Good for big Dom and let’s not come out with excuses like this other clown organization has. We’re better then that. I Justice put 3-4 posters on ignore in the game thread. Wouldn’t be surprised if that thread is locked tomorrow morning at this point

You gotta admit it’s weird to hate your franchise QB who led the team to a Super Bowl his second year as a starter.

It’s like a KC homer hating Mahomes. It’s odd. Or a Dallas fan hating Dak (well maybe that’s isn’t all that odd lol).

But anyways, I avoided all the back and forth. SF fans wre still clearly very upset about the NFCCG, so maybe they’ll stfu now.
Why would I hate Mahomes. I just think Hurts is more of a regular season stat QB nothing more. Sorry if I respectfully disagree with that

There is 0% chance they shut up now! 😂 Front runningest fans in football. Even Cowboy fans cringe at their bandwagon shenanigans
Patriots fans say hold my beer.
My cousin lived 5 mins from Gillette, they were so annoying my cousin decided to take a job in Germany

No it's not ... Mahomes makes the whole team better ****ty receivers and all
Hurts makes the team worse ... and they make him look good !
Statistacally he's around a 12 -15 Range QB ... With the best Oline and WRs in the NFL
Imagine if he was on a ****ty team? He'd be out of the NFL already
I’ve said for yrs personel and coaching matters. If the Eagles were interested in Zach Wilson clearly there’s something there with better personel and coaching. If Lamar was on Cle instead of nap he’d be a back up somewhere right now.

there’s QBs who make guts better and personel and team who make QBs better. I just don’t think Hurts is the type who makes guys better around him in the long run other then opening up more plays because of his ability to run.

And personally that’s fine. Not every QBs needs to be like that. Eagles have the right coaching and personal around Hurts. I’m ok with that.

Desai needs all the smoke coming to him. That was pathetic

Our defense is holier than the pope though

We’ve been playing with fire on that side of the ball for a bit now. I don’t think SF had one drop or a single self inflicted wound. Add in the coaching clinic you saw today and this was bound to happen.

SF is scorching hot as well.

Really just need a better game plan next week on both sides. It would be nice to see our receivers running open like you saw SF’s today.

One game, deep breath. Any given Sunday.
It’s really not one game though. They destroyed a very good Dallas team as well. When healthy, they’ve been dominant. Not saying they can’t be beaten in the playoffs but if they’re healthy, they are the best team in football.

I’d never consider Dal no matter the money. I’d take less and go to Hou if that was an option. Hell I’d choose the jets gun to my head between the Jets and Dal

Despite the good start, the defense looked gassed to me...half a step behind or off all night long, lot of broken tackles by Deebo and CMC. Eagles LOOKED like a tired team, at least on defense. It was unreal how many times CMC ran through a hole with Eagles defenders on both sides of him laying just a hand on him, JUST missing tackles.

Thought the offense was fine on the whole. SF is a great defense, and without a single stop after the first quarter, it wasn't like the offense had a lot of drives to work with.

This game will look a lot different in January. Question is where will we play it?
“While the 49ers have had 10 days to prepare for today’s game in Philadelphia, the Eagles are playing their third game in 13 days, including an OT win over Buffalo last Sunday in which their defense logged 97 snaps. “

Dal hasn’t beaten anyone impressive. Sea might be their best win and they are barely .500 team

Yeah, I wasn’t me in that situation. I personally couldn’t go to DAL, either. I meant as a neutral observer

Like I said it’s odd to not like your team’s QB. Especially if they have done what Hurts has done.

It is the equivalent of a KC fan hating Mahomes or a Bills fan not being fond of Allen. You get my drift, these are the best QB’s in todays league. Their teams are lucky to have them. But you don’t like your franchise QB.

You don’t like him and wish we still had Wentz. You’re entitled to your opinion. I’m tired of having this conversation.

Guys maybe we’re not Super Bowl good, maybe we’re just divisional or NFCCG good this season :lmao:

This defense ain’t gonna win us the big one. We had some mishaps on offense, but we can definitely score on them. Can’t stop anything tho.

No doubt they look great today. Didn’t so much earlier in the season. Seen many teams crowned mid season, also seen how that turns out most the time. One game for us, I’m no more worried than I was last week when we only played half a game.

The guy's name is Dom DiSandro? Amazing.

He'll be eating free cheese steaks for life
He already does. Lurie pays the man well because he's good at his job. He's the guy that handles all the off field issues for the team. He investigates potential draft picks and reports back if their baggage is worth it for the team or not. His input on Jalen Carter was vital to their draft strategy.

That said he probably isn't near the sidelines for awhile.

I don't really know how to word this. That security guy is an employee for the Eagles organization correct? Can the NFL suspend him? They suspended the cameraman in the Tyreek celebration. Was he an NFL cameraman or team cameraman? I get teams are part of the NFL, but that does come with boundaries. The NFL cant tell a team to raise prices on soda. Or they cant have them paint bathrooms. Help me understand.

WTF on the recent title change. What a crock of desperation for attention.
It’s funny stop being soft
Says the guy that puts people on ignore. Lol
Meh, I've got guys on ignore too. If people are just going to come in here and troll and try to get a reaction, why give them what they want? I wish more people did, the lame arguments make it a pain to find the actual football talk.

Appreciate it. I couldn't find it. That makes sense to me then.

He’s an Eagles employee the guy who gave Hill the phone was an NFL employee. I don’t believe the NFL can suspend him.

But the NFL can lean on the Eagles to discipline the guy and announce it publicly, which is what I suspect will happen. He will get a token ban from the sidelines and maybe a fine (that Lurie will likely give back to him under the table), and that will be it.

Why was Hurts back in the game yesterday down by 23 late after getting banged up and checked for a concussion? Let Mariota clean it up and just hand it off.

No reason for him to be on the field at that point, and he took another sack. Also Swift got lit up on a crossing pattern the last meaningless drive. Looked dazed when he walked off the field.

Makes no sense putting key players at risk that late in a losing battle.

Absolutely. Siriani is getting a lot of heat from the Philly media for that today.

Hurts has not been 100% as of late and it made no sense. Would not be surprised if Swift has a concussion. That was a big hit he took at the end of the game.

Swift is in the top 5 for rushing yards but I still feel he’s been underused. How can that be :ponder:

Hurts coming back in was dumb. He’s already nursing a bum knee.

because he has games where he goes crazy with 150 yards and others like yesterday with 20. consistency is lacking. common theme for the team really

i would have pulled all the starters with about 8 min left and hurts would def never had gone back in the game. swift almost got killed at the end for nothing
yeah at some point a good coach has to limit the liability. Always another game to play. Dallas and some other teams have been guilty of this and I never understood why.

The game was chippy anyway, having guys out there that late and still throwing was like target practice for the SF D, you know they wanted to light someone up. Should have been handing off up the middle to eat clock and get out of there somewhat healthy.

Also when the coaches met after the game you could hear Siriani say "Sorry' about something. wonder what that was all about.

Pretty sure he was talking about the green law security guard stuff

No quit in Hurts. Unlike that bum Jefferson, Hurts is keeping my team out of the basement.

Man. What a s***** game plan and performance. Took me a while, but I'm on the "get rid of Brian Johnson" bandwagon finally. The calls are just mediocre and not very well thought out. We need a change from him next year. I've been screaming "run the ball" every week for too long. We come out with pass/pass/pass on literally every single opening of every single game and its just too predictable now. Teams just play "cover everyone/go tackle Jalen" for the opening of every game now. I don't get it.

And Jalen, ffs man, you gotta stop trying these "go this way" directions in the pocket when you've already been sitting there for 5 seconds. Get rid of the ball. Or run. But sitting back there hoping something will open up in the next 1 second doesn't do anything for me.

And lastly, Howie. I give the guy all the credit in the world, but I hope this is another lesson he will add to his list of corrections: f****** invest in the LB position already. Like, its really really REALLY bad now. We have marginal talent and zero depth. Tight ends and running backs just eat us for lunch these days.

And Bradley Roby - if he is here WHY are we still throwing Eli Ricks out there? An UDFA running around in some of the most important games is just unacceptable. If he was playing well, I'd get it, but....he is not.

Dallas is gonna be super ready for us. They will be happy the Niners beat us "see its not just us!" and ready to take this division from us. We must turn this around quick or its over real fast.

nah even if dallas beats us next week they are gonna drop another game or 2. i could see the bills, miami, or detroit getting them. the division is ours. the number 1 seed though? i dunno

I'm not so sure anymore. Was riding high until we got smacked around yesterday. Straight up.

One thing I can take solace in is this stupid "refs love Philly" narrative is in the ground and dead. The refs have been bad for a while now, this game we didn't get any calls to favor us. There are at least half a dozen pretty bad ones that either were called or were not called and we were not the beneficiary on any of them.
