2024-25 NBA Thread: Game 7!! (67 Viewers)

I'm curious on if there is a rule regarding the ball being below the rim with a player touching it and time expiring. It seemed to me that the basket was already made, regardless of Gordon's finger, when the time expired.

Good grief, Curry doing his thing is one thing, but GP3 and Poznewskizidi not missing a shot is stupid.

I know a lot has been made about Lebron playing at a high level in his old age but Steph hasn't lost a step either. So elusive off the ball and continues to consistently make some of the most ridiculous shots. I don't see much difference between this Steph and the guy who won GS all those championships. What a player

The basket isn't officially made until it clears the net. I thought his fingers were still in contact when the light turned on

I thought his fingers were still on the ball as well, but only thought. On replay it was to close to overturn after they called it good on the floor.

Same. Pretty sure but not enough to cross the threshold of irrefutable

Here is a nice frame by frame with an overhead view. Not sure what the frame rate of those cameras (30 frames a second?) but it looks good, by a 30th of a second.

Video.

That's as close as it gets

I've seen that one. To show it is clean there needs to be a shot with the ball out and the light still off, which this lacks.

While it may be true that it is not definitive proof that his finger is off the ball, I would take (even with the homer glasses off) the opposite opinion that if there is no proof that his finger was on the ball, it should be good. Innocent until proven guilty!

I actually thought Podziemski had kind of an off game until the 4th quarter, but he’s become a really solid player. I think their half court offense generally looks best when he brings the ball up the floor.

Which is what I said in my earlier post. I am pretty sure that his finger was still on the ball, but it isn't irrefutable. FTR, life long everything Bay Area fan, everythinng SoCal hater.

We don’t talk about his handles enough.

Memphis is one of like 13 teams where I just look at them and say yea I don’t know where they go next.

I was thinking about this yesterday during their game. Is the trio of Morant, Bane and JJ enough to get them to the finals in the west? Because they are going to have to pay them all max deals or near max deals and then try to fill in the rest. I don't think it is, so what do they do next?

Brunson doing his normal push off moves. Like a modern day Michael Irvin.
Then he flops. Then he travels. And now I’m turning off the tv until Lakers-Wolves. Just can’t watch Brunson play.

You are a Warriors fan and have watched Draymond Green play for the better part of 15 years, plus all the battles with Harden and Paul and Brunson is what got you?
