Maybe a bit early but, for some who have a bye locked up, TEN vs HOU week 16 could be the juice you need to push through for a ship. They should be pretty available at this point I’d think? (They were in all mine and I scooped em instead of keeping a RB5/WR4)

Looks better than DAL v. PHI

definitely a good pick. would like to get them, but want to wait one more week.

I'm currently holding Cleveland and KC, which enables.

13 HOU
14 DEN
15 HOU
16 NO
17 DEN

Texans next 4:

14. DAL
15. KC
16. TEN
17. JAX

Browns only had two decent defensive efforts all year, PIT week 3 CIN week 8 (both at home)

4 turnovers 2 defensive TDs + Return TD

34.25 in our format, 2nd highest DST of the year (Patriots week 9)

I didn’t feel comfortable with the Vikings so I swapped them out & basically carried my win this week

Been riding the KC/SEA combo since it fell into my lap a few weeks ago. vs Rams this week, then the next set through the playoffs are vs Den, vs Hou, vs each other week 16, then vs Den again. Looking at options for that crucial week 16 matchup... if the Titans don't get dropped to waivers between now and then (vs Hou... giving me Den-Hou-Hou-Den for the playoff weeks), next best options out there for week 16 seem to be Den vs Rams, Chargers vs Indy, or Dolphins vs Green Bay. Not much else available, and not sure I want to pull the trigger on any of those matchups at the moment. Keeping an eye on it though. The Broncos D put up serviceable numbers in my scoring system this season when they faced Houston (11 pts), SF (21 pts), Indy (16 pts), and Jacksonville (10 pts) already. Turnovers and holding a team below 20 points are big elements in our scoring, but not sure I have the gumption to play the Broncos in the playoffs with it all on the line.

I have DAL but I'm liking the LAC weeks 16 and 17 schedule as a backup. They haven't been big scorers so far, but they face the leagues two worst teams versus Defs...Week 16 vs. IND (#31 in points vs. Defs) and Week 17 Vs. the Rams (#32 vs. Team Defs). Not liking DAL matchup week 16 vs. PHI at all.

Is the LAC Offense bad enough to steer clear of their defense as well?

GB v LAR …

Packers at home, coming off a bye - against the Rams. Gotta be a stash candidate.

I’ve were them to my stable of BUF and DAL. Lol yea, I’ve got 3 DST. Gonna drop the Bills soon I think, thankfully was in a position to ride them out - they have been bad.

Played Vikings DST instead of Niners. Cost me the win. Dropping Vikings. No more thoughts on DST. Niners is set it and forget it.

Top 15 DST last 4 weeks:
  1. 49ers 16.56
  2. Commanders 16.50
  3. Panthers 15.00
  4. Cowboys 14.88
  5. Dolphins 14.08
  6. Ravens 13.58
  7. Patriots 12.00
  8. Jets 11.75
  9. Browns 10.88
  10. Eagles 10.69
  11. Chiefs 10.19
  12. Bills 10.19
  13. Lions 9.88
  14. Steelers 9.58
  15. Buccaneers 9.08
Wow I just looked up the Panthers. Theyve had numerous solid games but no blowup games and 3 stinkers (2 of which came in weeks 1 & 2). Not bad in a pinch

The Raiders could be a streaming option this week with the matchup against a Rams team that is listing like the titanic.

No Stafford, no Cooper Kupp, no Allen Robinson - The Wolf(ord) of Wall Street will be throwing to the likes of Van Jefferson, Ben Skowronek, and possibly Lance McCutcheon. The Raiders are not a great defense; however, they have 11 sacks in their past three games, so in a pinch they might be a viable option this week.

Have the Bills --- got Packers last week for Week 15 Monday night game vs Rams --thinking of grabbing Giants for Week 17 vs Indy (If I make it that far) ---

Default rankings have them at the top of the waiver list. Bet they are gone later on tonight.

Feels trappish. Just came off a big division victory. Short week. Away game. Could see LV in general being annoyingly mediocre. Whatever the points are, I'd lean LAR.

Looking at the LAC option also. I think their defense is really bad, not sure even the great matchups help them.

Drafted Dallas and grabbed the Chiefs a week ago to set up the final push:

Wk 14: Dallas vs Hou
Wk 15: Chiefs vs Hou
Wk 16: Dallas vs Phi or Chiefs vs Sea, not ideal
Wk 17: Chiefs vs Den

Anyone in the same boat or have any targets for Wk 16?

eta: I see Chargers mentioned above, vs Ind wk 16 is juicy but they kinda suck, only had 8 or more points 4 times this season (LV, Hou, Sea, LV) and only hit 4 sacks 3 times. Did they have anyone return from injury recently or any reason to think they can capitalize on the Colts?

Other options on my waiver wire:

Lions vs Car (wk16) vs Chi (wk17)
Bucs vs Ari (wk16) vs Car (wk17)
Titans vs Hou (wk16) vs Dal (wk17)

All these defenses are as bad as the Chargers. I may just roll with Dallas wk 16 since they will be looking for revenge against the Eagles, at home, with a potential division lead still in play.

Have the same week 16 dilemma with Philly, with not much on the wire. I think I'm just going to roll with them vs DAL, should be a hard fought divisional game and their floor has held up pretty well throughout the season. Looks like getting Davis back last week really gave them a boost as well.

Edit: Just realized you have DAL and not PHI lol, but the same argument could be made for them I suppose.

My strategy for the playoffs is to pick up DSTs that are playing against the Rams. All three are still available in many leagues.

Rams fantasy playoff schedule:
15. @GB
16. DEN
17. @LAC

Since I’m locked into a playoff slot I’ve dumped the Jets and picked up GB and DEN. If I’m lucky enough to survive week 15, then I’ll drop GB and pick up LAC, and if the Chargers are gone I’ll just grab whatever is the best week 17 DST left on the board.

missed out on the Raiders - 11th WW priority *(by seeding) and spent all my remaining FAAB on Christian Watson

but hold onto them for next week after tonight; Patriots will be on a short week and in the second week of their west coast road trip Week 15

Picked up Arizona to cover a bye week. #8 vs NE on that scoring chart.
But, I believe this chart shows teams that you WANT o play defenses against. So, you would want defenses that play against Arizona, not picking up the Arizona defense (altho, not a bad defense to have anyway right now). Am I right Bobby Layne?

Both are good plays

AZ is playing a team that gives up the 8th most PPG to DEF
NE is playing a team that gives up the 8th most PPG to DEF

On recent form I’d rather have the AZ DST

I’m holding Pats but Cards are on our wire

I have DAL but I'm liking the LAC weeks 16 and 17 schedule as a backup. They haven't been big scorers so far, but they face the leagues two worst teams versus Defs...Week 16 vs. IND (#31 in points vs. Defs) and Week 17 Vs. the Rams (#32 vs. Team Defs). Not liking DAL matchup week 16 vs. PHI at all.

Is the LAC Offense bad enough to steer clear of their defense as well?

LAC D has disappointed in so many great matchups this year (and season's past for that matter) it would be extremely hard to trust them in the playoffs regardless of the matchup. But maybe that's just me.

Yea so since I posted this I’ve read a lot of articles that have said basically to steer clear of them for the most part

LV no doubt

Generally I hate average/bad DEF in a great matchup but by golly there are some truly awful offenses out there right now

Texans are in a class by themselves at the moment - 17 sacks, 13 turnovers and 4 Defensive touchdowns (+ KR if your scoring accounts for DST) the last 5 weeks, and they've only averaged 14.4 points scored.

Rams aren't too far behind them, and literally don't have adequate personnel across the board - QB, RB, WR and OL - because of injuries. 18 sacks, 6 turnovers, and the offense is scoring 16.6 /g the last 5 games.

I would put the Colts in the same category (Week 15 at MIN.) Last 5: 20 sacks, 10 interceptions, 2 defensive touchdowns, and 16.0 points scored by the O.

Broncos have scored 45 points while losing the last 4. Might help getting Jeudy back but Russ Is so bad rn.

I think any DEF going against those 4 (HOU, LAR, IND, DEN) should be an autostart.

yes, but that's what Leroy is saying. NE has been the 8th-best team for a fantasy defense to play against, so you would want to have defenses that play against NE.

And the Cards have Denver the following week if you want a potential two week hold

Jets are getting dropped a lot this week bc they’re at BUF this week

Week 15 though is a viable option v DET; Goff is not the same QB in the road. Splits:

home 270 passing / g 17 TDs 3 INT in 7 g
road 227 / g 2 TDs 4 INT (+ 3 FL) in 5 g

still say MIN (v IND) is the obvious streaming option for the first week of the playoffs if KC (HOU) AZ (DEN) GB (LAR) are rostered

(NOTE - this is week 15 advice)

Houston is going back to Davis Mills, for the record. Still not good, but unfortunately maybe not the bloodbaths of the past 2 weeks.

Commanders started the #1 DEF = whoever plays HOU trend 3 weeks ago

but every defense has been Top 16, 10/12 Top 10 (7 straight), 4/12 Top 5

1. v IND D10 (tie)
2. at DEN D10
3. at CHI D16
4. v LAC D9
5. at JAC D13 (win)
6. bye
7. at LV D9
8. v TEN D3
9. v PHI D10
10. at NYG D10
11. v WAS D1
12. at MIA D1
13. v CLE D1

14. at DAL
15. v KC
16. at TEN
17. v Jac

A few key injury updates:

Nick Bosa (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

Bosa's injury was referred to as hamstring irritation. His DNP status is likely maintenance. As long as he is back at practice by Thursday, the hamstring issue shouldn't cause him to miss any time. With 14.5 sacks this season, Bosa is in a tight race with Micah Parsons for Defensive Player of the Year.
Dec 7, 2022, 2:48 PM ET

Aaron Donald (ankle) will not play in Week 14 against the Raiders.

Donald is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. He missed Week 13 with the issue and, given the Rams' 3-9 record, could ultimately be held out for the remainder of the season. Once a vaunted defense, the Rams' will be trotting out a skeleton crew on both sides of the ball this week. Derek Carr will be a high-end QB2 for his Week 14 matchup with LA.
Dec 7, 2022, 3:23 PM ET

Panthers DE Henry Anderson said he suffered a minor stroke.

Anderson has been out since Week 6 because of the medical condition. He was placed on the reserve/NFI list but the team did not disclose the specifics of his absence. Luckily for Anderson, the stroke was considered minor. After extensive testing, he has been medically cleared to return. The Panthers have since designated him to return from the NFI list.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Von Miller (knee) is out for the season.

Miller had surgery on his injured knee and won't return in 2022. During the procedure, surgeons discovered a torn ACL. It's a wrenching loss for a Buffalo defense that had applied consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks for much of the season. Miller had led the team with eight sacks through Week 12. Only seven teams had a higher pressure rate than the Bills before Miller's Week 12 injury. The soon-to-be 34-year-old Miller will hopefully return to the Bills at full health in 2023.

For those of us rolling out LV defense any concern here? Any of these guys good?

They are cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (knee), defensive tackle Andrew Billings (fibula), linebacker Jayon Brown (hand) and tight end Jesper Horsted (concussion).
