2025 FBG Subscriber Contest (5 Viewers)

Of the 32 kickers offered, here are the ones who have either already missed time, or are about to this week:

$6 - Tyler Bass - Has been on IR all season, and with Prater hitting 10/11 on FG's and 15/15 on EP's, does the job still belong to Bass if/when he returns?
$5 - Brandon McManus - GB signed Lucas Havrisik. McManus is dealing with a quad injury - https://x.com/RobDemovsky/status/1976318197185065423/photo/1
$4 - Younghoe Koo - After a career worst 73% FG in 2024, he needed to start strong in 2025 to keep his job. He didn't, and is now on his couch.
$4 - Jake Moody - After leading the league in FG misses in 2024, he needed to start strong in 2025 to keep his job. He didn't, and is now on his couch.
$4 - Jason Sanders - Has been on IR all season, and replacement Riley Patterson has been perfect thus far, albeit with a long FG of only 47
$4 - Spencer Shrader - Was awesome until injury, leading all kickers in scoring. Next man up is Michael Badgley, who is terrible from 40+ (68.9%)
$3 - Caden Davis - Never made it through preseason and was dropped for superstar Nick Folk, who has yet to miss a FG or EP
$3 - Graham Gano - Like clockwork, his leg gave out and he was replaced by Jude McAtamney. He may win his job back if he can return.
$3 - Joey Slye - Ruled out this week, and replaced by Matthew Wright, who was supposed to be CAR's kicker. Slye may not get his job back.
$3 - Dustin Hopkins - Lost his job in preseason to Andre Szmyt, and has been waiting for a phone call ever since.
$3 - Matthew Wright - This poor guy can't catch a break. I think he's better than many current kickers, and doubt he cedes to Slye upon his return.

Notes
$4 Joshua Karty - Rumblings of being on the hot seat, but I think he's still safe for now. 4 of his 5 misses have been blocked, and the blame needs to go around.
$3 Blake Grupe - Haven't heard much yet, but he has sucked. 5 missed FG's through 5 weeks is an easy way to get replaced.

Them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singin' "This will be the day that I die."

124, just 30 points above the current cut.

Josh Allen (33.85)
Jacory (5.9)
Rome (4.45
Slye (18.4 - yeah, right)
KC or ATL (3).

I think it's going to take a miracle for me to go on to week 7. This is the first time I've had to sweat The Turk this year, and I may be too far out of it to even sweat. I need three huge games. Rome, Bill, and one of the defenses are my only hope.

Losing Puka and Egbuka crushed me.

I'm sweating a bit, after getting duds from Sutton, Ridley, Egbuka, and Keenan Allen. REALLY need a big game from Odunze and Bijan.

101.65 with Goff (-20.55), Bijan (-0.0), Odunze (-5.7), and ATL and KC (-0.0).

Definitely sweating but a lot of darts left to throw at least...
After 4pm:

122.15 + (Croskey-Merritt - 5.70/5.90) + (D Moore/J Palmer - 5.70/6.70/16.10/17.90) + (LaPorta - 5.70/6.70/21.30) + (Santos - 18.40) + (Atlanta - 3.00)

Somewhat worried, at 116. But with Mahomes (must beat Herbert at 25), Cook, Bill, and Jamo still to play (and low output players to beat). I think (hope) I'll move on.

Might be ok :oldunsure:
144 + London, JCM - 4.4 and 5.9 (hey a chase brown sighting for now!) and Penix - 25.8 but not counting on him beating T Law
JSN for MVP, Fannin and Boutte coming through this week too.

Might? You think the line's going up 45 more?

LaPorta with a nice game and based on the Arm-o-matic it looks like there will be a low cut line.

135.45+ (Croskey-Merritt - 5.90) + (D Moore/J Palmer - 6.70/16.10) + (Santos - 18.40) + (Atlanta - 3.00)

Man, I get how fantasy scoring works, but wild to me that KC defense played so great and only got 1 point in this contest.
Yeah. They were my lowest scoring D, while LAC gave up 27 to MIA and still scored 8.

The first fantasy league I ran a million years ago I developed a scoring for defenses that I thought was good for handling things in terms of rewarding better defenses.

All DST TDs were 6.
Safeties were 2

Offensive TD allowed were -2
Field goals allowed were -1

Stone age of fantasy football - did not have a million different bonuses for everything. And honestly a lot better for watching and knowing what exactly is going on versus worrying about every decimal point.

With two games tonight and I posted before SNF, and popular players going, I just looked at last week’s cut line for an estimate. Obviously not every week is equal but I’m currently below last week’s line.

A 20 pt increase in the cut line tonight puts me 4.9 under the cut. Meaning Bill would need 9+ pts, which he has done 3/5 times this year. Chris Rodriguez may be out which would probably up his touches.

I also have Atlanta (-12) and Kyle Monangai (-5.90) but not counting on them.

How quickly things change. After five relatively "easy" weeks, now I'm on the struggle bus. Less than two points above the cut line with five players left. Key injuries definitely hurt.... Pearsall, Hampton, and Egbuka. Probably need solid games from Bill, Odunze, and Ertz to have any shot. Maybe Lane will contribute with WAS hurting at WR? Not counting on Santos to outscore Grupe. Ugh.

Having JCM is key to staying above the cut. He starts counting for you at 4.2, so it's nice that's a low number. Then Rome starts at 2.8 for a flex score, and that should be quickly. Lastly, Ertz only need 2 catches for 16 yards and he will be counting. If Lane or Santos count, it'll just be a bonus, but I think you will be fine. But then again, maybe not. Yeah, I guess you do have a little reason to sweat.

Sounds like you should be about 40% scared then...

I swear, TreVeyon Henderson must be in the Doghouse or something. When he plays (extremely limited) his performance looks good regarding average yard, catches, I don't watch many NE games but is he fumbling? Does he have an attitude problem? They need a reliable running back but they aren't playing him.

Yeah, it's definitely not a guarantee, one way or the other. All three have a decent game, I'm probably fine. All three put up relative duds compared to the guys playing tonight that I don't have, and I'm toast. Somewhere in between, and it could be a nail-biter. I like the fact that those three should start counting early. Ertz may be the catalyst in all of this. Will it be the Ertz who was a top target for WAS the first few weeks, or the Ertz who had a goose egg last week?

I haven't seen enough of NE to say, but I definitely was expecting/hoping for better results than he's provided so far.

Out of curiosity, what players have counted for you every week? Who are your biggest busts?

JSN, Javonte Williams and egbuka have counted for me each week - although EE’s streak hopefully comes to an end after London and/or JCM beat his 4.4 tonight.

Chase brown (presuming both players tonight break 5.9), tahj brooks, Jalen Coker, and Terrence Ferguson have yet to count. That was expected from the cheap 3, but Coker probably breaks that soon.

Renaming this guy "Turd Ferguson."
Luckily I'm not in Jeopardy this week.

Every week heroes
Tucker Kraft
Rome Odunze (assuming he can score >5.8 tonight)
Emeka Egbuka

Every week bust
Chase Brown (so far he has been a waste of $26, But technically, he is my RB1 this week. Ugh!)

I expected nothing from him for the first couple months, hope he pays off as a late season addition. Really should have drafted his brother* though.

Comfortably through to week 7. Largely thanks to my killer RB room.

RB TreVeyon Henderson - $184.10
RB Jordan Mason - $110.00
RB Jaydon Blue - $110.00
RB Braelon Allen - $100.00
RB Nick Chubb - $80.00
RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt - $60.00

By killers, I mean they are actively trying to kill my chances to outrun the Turk

His pass pro is a disaster. And yards after contact and broken tackle rate are not good either.

My players was so bad this week
In unison (how bad were they?)
They were so bad Chase Brown is counting for me right now
Chase Brown is my only non-zero point RB right now (others are Braelon Allen, Nick Chubb, and Keaton MItchell), so he will definitely count for me too. I need Bijan to bail me out tonight.
