2025 Miami Dolphins - 1-6, Currently hold the #2 pick in the draft. (7 Viewers)

Hunt is in the last year of a 4 year deal. He was considered somewhat of a reach, but he paid off and is a great fit for the scheme. Do we pay him and franchise Wilkins? It's gonna be tough to fit everyone we want under the cap in 2024.
AVG enters the chat
I think since he never made a lot of money, $2.5M this year roughly,
3yr/$15M, he would jump at that, he's 27 and had 4 year rookie deal 5th Rd and then his 1 yr deal this season, nobody was eager to sign him due to '22, thankfully they didn't see any of the tape from the previous couple seasons

I think Miami can survive Achane on the shelf but it would have been nice over the next several weeks
I know Jeff WIlson is licking his chops and while I don't expect the same explosion, I do expect Miami to cruise past Carolina before they face the Eagles
I won't say much about Philly until we get past Sunday
1 game at a time and maybe this week we can get off the field healthy
No doubt in my mind that McD can scheme it up

schefter reports Achane to IR
Sorry to hear that, we won a couple games to start the season and he was not ready to play.

We will be fine, we need Achane for Dec/Jan to put some fear into the opposing defenses and keep them honest
I'm interested to see what Jeff Wilson will look like, his 2nd year season with the team but he's only played in maybe 8 games so far.
I hope they don't burn up Mostert while Achane is down, we need him too for the end of the season

I don’t care about Wilson.

Ahmed and Brooks are better players in this scheme IMO.
Wilson is depth.

Ahmed and Brooks will probably play. Ahmed had an unfortunate groin strain because he was looking great prior. I would think he will be Mostert's compliment this weekend if healthy.

Dolphins OC Frank Smith feels Chase Claypool has a complete skillset: "He's a big, fast wide receiver, good catch radius, blocking skills are up to par."

Per David Furones

Liam starting Connor likely out for a couple. Ramsey way ahead of schedule. Post bye will have an influx of talent.
Why is Connor out, he played well last week and finished....what happens between Monday and Saturday?
Oh that's not good, I might take Car now +14.5 and I don't ever bet for or against them

That sucks, we're a totally different team, this is gonna be a lot closer than we thought

Same as before I think they can scheme Liam ok. CAR is less A gap tech

Missed most of this game today.

Did Eichenberg have a good game? The Brooks stiff arm gave me a woody. how bad was his injury?

Dolphin are going to have to let C.Wilkins walk if they have any hope of keeping AJ, Williams, and Hunt.

Eich looked the part today. Car Pressure from edges.
Brooks ankle didn't look good.

When you see that flip celebration know that Tua called that play. McD gave him a little I trust you deal

Ready to go hunt some Igglz?

They lost to the Jets today, they haven't looked like the team that won the Super Bowl last year
Hope Miami can pull off a big road win next week

Honestly I would have rather the Eagles won. We would have had the whole playing for the '72 team thing going on and maybe they are a little over confident. Now I feel like they will be refocused and on a Sunday night that crowd is going to be wound up. I considered going down to the game and may have if it was a 1:00 game but not worth it for a Sunday night game with that crowd.

Thus far I think Miami has a real chance next week. I won’t be completely blown out if they lose but we should be able to compete and not look as bad as we did vs Buffalo. And really that was on the Defense, our offense came out firing and I hope that continues next week. Tua needs to get even more comfy with Berrios, he’s open a lot because of the Top 2 guys

Waddle still not quite Waddle IMO despite a nice stat line Sunday

SF 5-1
Philly 5-1
Detroit 5-1
Miami 5-1

Just saying....

Couldn’t be happier with where they currently sit but the haters will say we haven’t beaten anyone - Chargers, Pats, Broncos, Giants & Panthers. With the embarrassing loss against Buffalo.

Upcoming games vs the Eagles and Chiefs will give us an idea if they can hang with the big boys.

Not worried about the offense and being able to run the ball.

Now if only the Defense can start to figure things out and play better.

X is Day to Day
:oldunsure:
Maybe they'll see how sticky Cameron Marquise Jani' Smith is. Barry Jackson jokes that he's been in the witness protection program. The odds are this will be a loss, so why not throw your 2nd round draft pick into the game versus the great PHI receivers. He looked good in preseason, aside from one play where he got burned on a double move for a TD. Cam could be our starting CB in 2024.

This is looking like it might lineup to be a contest to see who can put the most healthy starters on the field. Eagles are really banged up in their secondary but unknown yet if guys will miss the game.

Looks like Jalen Ramsey is all systems Go!

Las Vegas at Hard Rock - Week 11 after the Bye week which is after the KC game in Germany
at NY Jets - MetLife - Week 12, but this is the Black Friday game which is on a Friday at 3:00

Ramsey will likely be back for one of these 2 games if not both, all signs point to him being close to returning which is pretty amazing
I didn't want to think about it but with X being day to day right now, it's gonna be huge down the stretch.
Hope he can stay on the field once he gets there

Ramsey practicing with team today.

21 days to activate him to the 53 (from the day he returns to practice) or he stays on IR for the year.

I see him on the 53 man roster with his first start after the BYE. They have been extremely patient bringing guys back from injury - see Phillips.

That's what I'm saying, Vegas at Hard Rock
Raiders could be 4-3 after this weekend and they are terrible
We have the jets twice in like.a 3-4 week span after that

Posted same link in the Tua thread. Love The QB School.

The throw Tua made to Waddle, which he dropped, was a thing of beauty. Quick release, anticipation & accuracy is off the charts.

Hope Connor Williams is active this week.

Thanks SD missed it :/ Connor was at practice today IIRC but Liam did well and I'm guessing won't be horrible against Phi unless they rush their top guys in zero instead of their norm. Expect him Germany... Hunt Wynn games will be indicator against Phi

Ok so who is going to stop Hurts running and Swift catching balls out of the backfield?

Have zero confidence in Fangio’s defense @ PHI in prime time.

Our best hope is to win a track meet. That's how it started out in BUF and then we had turnovers and penalties. And we couldn't stop Allen. Several individual MIA defenders are graded high and Wilkins is up to where he was last year. This game is a test for Fangio.

Agreed.

Going have to score at least 30 and get a couple key turnovers in big spots to have a chance.

At this point just hope they play a competitive game with Tua upright when the game is over.

Miami's loss was to the Bills at Home and the Eagles at Home on a sunday night is not an advantage for us either.

Basically what I want to see is us play a competitive game and be in it in the 4th quarter without anyone getting hurt/dinged.

This game only matters in terms of narrative. Its an NFC team. KC in Germany will be more important.

The Miami Dolphins will be missing two key starters when they face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night, with both cornerback Xavien Howard and center Connor Williams declared inactive.
Both players were listed as questionable on the final injury report of the week because of groin injuries, with Howard telling reports after practice Friday there was no doubt he was playing.

I’m not sure there has ever been a bigger home cooking game than this one. No flags on the eagles? I saw at least 3-4 dpi, and about 3 holds on Chubb and a few on Phillips.

hard to win when you revert back to the philbin o line.
