they've got a rookie cooking in Channing Tindall.Tua is our QB going forward - think he's more than proved that this year.
They need to seriously upgrade at ILB - I've seen enough of Baker & Roberts.

I don’t get Chubb. Not an elite player. Not worth the draft capital or contract. Just looked up his numbers. Ho hum after a great rookie campaign. All the big Playoff teams have one, you know what I mean.At least a first if not more. Jets also reportedly in the mix. What is the rumored cost?Evidently Peter King mentioned on sky news the Dolphins being a possible Bradley Chubb landing spot.
Like the player, ofc. Not sure I want to pay the rumored cost unless they can sign him to a long term contract.
he’s in the last year of his rookie deal
Von Miller, Bosa
-Chubb is 18th out of 113 ranked Edge/OLB types across the NFL and he was drafted #5 overall
-12 sacks his rookie year, has not come close since, whether that is injury, pandemic, whatever but I would be cautious before spending a lot on him.
-In his 5th year option so they are up against the wall, a franchise tag would put them way over the cap heading into next season, they won't be able to pay him plus I'm not sure he is worth it.
5.5 sacks in 8 games, he is in the 10-12 sack range yearly when he is healthy, that's solid but not Top5 money which is likely what he wants.
If we are going to spend a lot of money, not sure I want to do it here. Big name free agents don't always work out especially at Defense, that DB-Jones from Dallas has been a money hole for us and also made us pay up to Howard so he was ahead of Jones financially.
Thing are going pretty well but we are down some future draft picks.
Hill, Waddle and Gesicki as you enter the red zone or try and advance the ball down the field, incredible trio for Tua to work with.
The ground game is decent with Mostert but it always feels like it's 1 carry here, maybe a touch or two there, it's not a steady ground attack and I think they need a stronger RB1 that can be the alpha or part of stronger 2 back attack and force teams to put a guy or two in the box at times and then drop Tua back and call the "F It" play to Hill on play action, would be a thing of beauty
2020 10-7
2021 9-8
2022 5-3, 5-0 when Tua starts and finishes
You all will love this...1-7 was Miami going into the 2nd Half last year, yes/no? And Tua was the QB for most of the 2nd Half if not ALL of the games.
8-1 down the stretch in '21 and 5-0 when he starts and finishes in 2022
Is Tua 13-1 in his last 14 starts at QB or am I smoking really strong cheeba?
Kareem Hunt would be a great addition. Now there is a dynamic RB who would elevate the offense instantly.Kareem Hunt Tyreek Hill miss you bro love fest currently ongoing on insta...
this has been super frustrating but at least we'll have an answer in the coming weeks. We need Byron Jones back ASAP

I'm a huge believer in this coach, but penalties always bother me, bc they are always related to coaching. tony sporano was a decent coach (and a good man) and more importantly his teams were the least penalized. Same with Shula (but I think the refs were afraid of the Don). Mike M needs to tighten the dumb stuff up.I'm glad you mention this.Tua is our QB going forward - think he's more than proved that this year.
They need to seriously upgrade at ILB - I've seen enough of Baker & Roberts.
Baker-Last week late in the Steelers game when Pickett had a long run or a good chunk on a scramble play. When they showed the replay, Baker was running or trailing a receiver and was deadlocked on to him, ran right by Pickett and never noticed he was taking off on a scramble, his awareness level in madden would need to be set at like "27" it's that bad.
Roberts-That flag yesterday for taunting made me want to puke, you just got ripped for 10 yds and you act like you made a play on the RB out of bounds? Very bad look for Roberts.
Miami needs a stronger Front 7, that's what has been missing.
How many times was Christian Wilkins lined up offsides yesterday? How about the entire Defense?
I'd like to point out when the team was healthy at the start of the season, they were the least penalized until Tua was not there under Center. Lately that has changed or gotten a lot worse, hoping they trend back in the opposite direction where they started.I'm a huge believer in this coach, but penalties always bother me, bc they are always related to coaching. tony sporano was a decent coach (and a good man) and more importantly his teams were the least penalized. Tua upright is the best QB we've had since Marino, and Likely #3 all time for Miami if he keeps this up. It's nice to see the Bills with one loss knowing we gave it to them.
Cold takes about Hill going to regret the move to Miami being unearthed everywhere. Including Pete Prisco who taped a mea culpaHill is on pace for about 150 catches and 2,000 yds receiving, ridiculous.
I don’t disagree with this....but a chance to grab Hunt to me will make a big difference in this offense too. We have not had a dynamic back since Ricky Williams. This will really give us a great 1-2 punch of Hunt and Mostert.Hunt and Chubb sound sexy and all, but I would prefer to see us grab an OL can can start. Shell looked good but it was one game and we could upgrade at guard. I have heard talk about a guy in Carolina named Mouton and Denver has a guard as well as Atlanta that could be in play. We need to protect our franchise. When Tua has time he is as deadly as anyone in the NFL. We can also improve the run game with some upgrades there.
Liam seems overmatched and takes way too many penalties aside from the fact that he is out for a bit. AJ looks like a mediocre backup who may not even play again this year if he isn't activated this week. Armstread is great but misses games every year. It wont make the splash everyone wants, but I think that's our most pressing need...still.
I think that's better news than gone for the year, we might have him back healthy by the Playoffs and it gives him time to look at things without being immediately in the trenches, could be a plus for him.MCL for Liam Eichenburg per Tom Pelissero.
I see @Gatorman not to be outdone by @Todem at proclaiming his rightful seat at the head of the Tua Club, already proclaiming 3rd best QB in Miami HistoryI'm a huge believer in this coach, but penalties always bother me, bc they are always related to coaching. tony sporano was a decent coach (and a good man) and more importantly his teams were the least penalized. So along those lines, I'm making Connor Williams the 4th best Center we've ever had after HoF-Dwight Stephenson and Tim Ruddy, Pouncey has more Pro Bowls, I never liked Mike.
It's an easy slide after that for No 4 all time for me.
Hill and Waddle blow away Duper and Clayton, yes/no? Uh oh, sacred ground we're starting to step on here.
also gotta take into account the fact that MMcD comes from a system that makes late rounders and undrafted guys look really stinking goodI hear you. I also think that signing and paying RBs big contracts almost never works out. They take too much of a beating early in their careers and by the time they get their new contract, their bodies are starting to break down. LeVeon, Gurley, Zeke come to mind. Even Melvin Gordon and Davonta Freeman to an extent. I cannot think of too many that worked out in the past decade or so on their second deals. Granted, Hunt has not had his body abused as much as those guys did, but I kind of like the idea of drafting one and getting 4-5 relatively inexpensive years out of them and letting another team pay them their next salary.

Excellent thoughts, would love to see them upgrade with 1 more strong OL but they are getting quality starts 3 of the 5 positionsHunt and Chubb sound sexy and all, but I would prefer to see us grab an OL can can start. Take a lot of pressure off Tua and as the weather changes, what happens when we hit the road in the WIldcard trying to win @ Balt or Cinci or even KC might be playing with Buffalo looking like a strong No 1 seed. We need to be a team that can generate 125-150 yds rushing when we need to.I don’t disagree with this....but a chance to grab Hunt to me will make a big difference in this offense too. We have not had a dynamic back since Ricky Williams. If a legit tackle or guard could be had.....I am all for it too. I just don’t think they are out there for us. We gotta draft draft draft in that department and hit on a few.
Yeah, I'm not worried about the cap. If there is one thing Ross has been good at as an owner, it is sinking his own cash into the bonuses to manage the cap.Considering where our cap savings will be coming from next year (Bye to Gesecki, Jones, Rowe, and some other cap monsters) we can fit him under the cap and go from there.]
This. Never hesitates to open the check book, including self funding improving the stadium with that glorious canopy. If there is one thing Ross has been good at as an owner, it is sinking his own cash into the bonuses to manage the cap
Here are the biggest contracts we have on the books heading into 2023, not much we can do about all these.Well, Chubb (the LB, not the RB) would make our non existent pass rush better: Miami brings pressure having 2 of the best rushing safeties and one of the best rushing middle linebackers in the game. The problem is we do not have the corners at this moment to run cover zero. We need to be a 3/4 or 4/3 for the time being until we get healthy in the defensive backfield. For that we need another pass rusher. RB is not a need, as Mosert is the man, and if "drive killer" doesn't pan out then we have other decent options at RB. Corners we certainly can use and as for O line help, well I think we address that (again) in the draft.
As for the 1st round compensation: Chubb was a high first rounder who has played up to his draft pedigree. He can rush the passer well, and the only downside to getting him is the cap hit on his extension. Considering where our cap savings will be coming from next year (Bye to Gesecki, Jones, Rowe, and some other cap monsters) we can fit him under the cap and go from there.]
The one thing this rash of injuries at CB has done has given us the ability to really develop some young guys at CB. There are 4 guys that can flat out ball there to man the other side of X, and that is without taking Needham into account.
For those who have not experienced this canopy...it's not like it spits out cold air or provides a light breeze. It's still insanely hot, especially up there because a lot of the hot air is trapped inside, only thing it does is provide a little shade from the sun but it's not in any way a comfy relief to be in the upper deck.This. The canopy stadium is our 12th man in September. Ask the Bills. It's beautiful from the turnpike, especially at night. I wouldn't change a thing. For those who have not experienced this canopy...it's not like it spits out cold air or provides a light breeze. On a hot AF day just being out of the sun is glorious...only thing it does is provide a little shade from the sun
Wise with his history ... (ETA notable he's a UFA after this season)I would not want to put all my eggs in the Mostert basket

42 carries for 120 yds 2.9 yds per attempt and 10/96/Td catching, wish he could get more involved in the passing game as the 3rd or 4th guy.also gotta take into account the fact that MMcD comes from a system that makes late rounders and undrafted guys look really stinking goodI hear you. Only Chase is under contract after this season.
per sportrac. https://www.spotrac.com/spots/early-nfl-trade-candidates-1622/CB William Jackson III is expected to be released, plays man. His salary and back injury are trade prohibitive... wouldn't surprise me if he gets released and his back immediately gets better.
