2025 Philadelphia Eagles - Schedule leak: Eagles to host TNF game week 1 vs either an NFC or AFC opponent. (5 Viewers)

Secret Roseman Targets: Episode #1

Howie Roseman shocks the world and keeps the 1.32 pick only to select Mason Taylor - TE, LSU. The world laughs at this HUGE reach as Taylor competes as a finalist for OROY in 2026.

Secret Roseman Targets: Episode #2

Howie Roseman shocks no one as baby hands Grey Zabel drops into Howie's lap at 1.32. What is shocking is Grey has zero starts but strong spot duty across the entire line throughout the season. This preps him for 2026 and potential Lane Johnson replacement as Lane announces his retirement as part of his SB parade speech in Feb 2027.

Zabel played T at college but iOS more of a Guard at the nfl level. From reports and pods I’ve seen he could play T in emergency for rest of a game at NFL level but would prefer someone else if the Tackle is injured longer

Every mock draft I see, I'm becoming more and more convinced the Eagles are trading out of the 32 spot.
Which way though

I think Howie will trade down or trade for a veteran player. I don't think he'll package picks to move up. This is the first draft in a long time, that there isn't really anyone I'm excited about after about pick 5. They're all players that could go from 10 to 50. I'm hoping one of the QBs drop and a team gets desperate and tries to jump back into the 1st round to get him.

Which veteran? Which position?

I simply dont see Howie drafting a S high. I also dont see him trading for one, though CJGJ ping pong was impressive.

We wont trade for a T or C. Dont need CB or LB IMHO. Dont need QB, RB, WR. So that leaves us with G, DT, DE, S, or TE. Who could/should be our target(s)?

Michael Mayer and Luke Musgrave are names I keep hearing at TE
DE - I keep seeing Kavon Thibs and the Jags DE, Trey Hendrickson still isn't signed, deep DE draft, we will take one edge guy
S - Justin Simmons is in the bag after the draft
DT - no clue, but the draft is deep here, we are dabbling
G - I could see us taking one in the draft along with moving on from Tyler Steen - seems the team just doesn't believe in him and we got 4/5 on OL - guys that are VERY good as a min floor

We definitely need CB though, IMO. I'm not comfortable going into the season with "either Ringo or Adoree Jackson will do!" - no way, we need at least another body.

With the draft though, I just don't see us not trading up. 20 picks over 2 drafts. I just don't see us drafting more than 15 players, so thats 5 picks to burn/trade up. I keep thinking about how Howie keeps talking about having good players on cost control contracts, and thats obviously rookies - either we are going up big from 32 to get OUR GUY or, we are trading down slightly acquiring more picks and just going up when we need to in rounds 2/3 to get a bunch of guys we like. I still don't see us not making at least one big splash trade for a big time player or a trade up for a blue chip player (Abdul Carter)

Love your post, ill play along with this part though.

Assuming we need to get into the top 5, we are talking multiple 1st's right? Or do you see Carter falling? Is there a world where he falls out of the top 10?

Thibodeaux was the first guy that popped into my mind, 25 years old, playing for his next contract.

We actually do need a LB. Nakobe Dean is going to miss most of the 2025 season (I wouldn't expect him back until Thanksgiving at the earliest). Even then, I'm not expecting much out of him next season.

This is Howie season.

Micheal Mayer and Kyle Pitts at TE. From speculation a Pitts trade would possible be Huff going the other way as ATL needs edge rushers Vet and young abd both need a change of scenary

I could see us trading Steen for a mid-late rounder next year if we draft a guard. Later in the Draft or plus packaged to move up in draft later rounds.

Edge wise Trey Hendrickson makes zero sense for Eagles as he’s over 30 and Eagles want young guys. Plus Hendrickson wants to be paid and Eagles can’t afford him Depending on draft which is loaded here I could see a possible young Edge who’s cheap who needs a change scenery or another player who doesn’t play edge that Vic realizes fits there (similar to moving Baun once signed). Tyree Wilson if The Raiders fits here. safety is deep at this class. I wouldn’t be shocked at signing Justin Simmons but he’s similar to Trey Hendrickson in age and Howie has said the younger guys will play more. Julian Blackmon is 26 who is an FA last played for Colts.

If the Eagles do target guys in trade it’ll be younger players who most likely need a change of scenery on the cheap.

Multiple 1st and most teams seem more willing to trade up then back They’d probably want a player as well. Carter doesn’t fall past Clev, NYG or NE and reports have the Giants having big interest in him and if not there if NE don’t take a T he goes there.

On top of draft picks eagles would have to make maneuvers like they did to draft Wentz multiple trades up in the draft which is uncommon to happen prior to a draft. I’m the end it makes zero sense and depletes all the teams future resources in the end. You’d have to trade from 32 to about 20-15 range, then try and get into the top 10 before making a final trade into the top 4. On top of that you need to find willing dance partners.

Teams who’d make sense with not many picks are Vikings and Falcons.

Sorry Long Post

I am talking about multiple 1sts, yes. Its nice to knock every draft out of the park, but being realistic, its not 100% like that. We are hitting decently on the 1st round picks, still swinging and hoping on guys like Sydney Brown and Tyler Steen, and in a draft where there are not a lot of difference makers and also, we lost out 2 top sack guys on defense, a defense while #1 overall last year, was kind of mid in the sack department. Now we are going into a draft with these guys as our top pass rushers (Jalen Carter, Moro Ojomo, Jalyx Hunt, Nolan Smith, Josh Uche, Aziz Oljulari) coming off a Super Bowl win - even if we load up on 2/3 DE guys, it sure seems we'd be going into the season with a lot of question marks and mainly good feelings about a few players, but JC being the only "for sure" guy on the DL. For years we could always count on at least Cox and BG showing up on game day 100% and well, it ain't like that right now. I'm sure I'm wrong, but in the realm of "Howie learned his lesson" I think he knows/we know that we won the Super Bowl b/c we were able to "steal" Jalen Carter in that year's draft. I just hypothesize that Howie is thinking the same way I am - GET CARTER 2! You'd have absolute DOGS on the defense for years and you get the love for football/die hard Philly fan that is the player baked in, so there are no questions of culture or anything. You draft this guy, not only is he going to fit right in, he's going to DIE until he actually helps the Eagles win another Super Bowl himself.

The Cost? Yeah it won't be cheap and i don't know if there has been a jump this big ever, I recall Falcons going 21 to 6 to get Julio, but 32 to 4, 28 picks- insane, but I know 1 guy that can get it done!

Agree on Hendrickson. Even if his age doesn't bother you and you trade for him, you're putting yourself in a Haason Reddick contract holdout situation if you don't pay him.

I can’t see the Eagles trading up. If there’s a blue chip talent that falls into the 20s- maybe, yeah.

I definitely don’t see them pulling a draft day trade for a vet.

I could definitely see them trading back, getting more draft capital and then trading up a bunch in later rounds.

All the mocks and analysis I’ve seen makes me think this draft has only a few top-tier talented players, but a lot of depth. Outside the top 10, the rest of the tiers are lumped up together. Lots of value in Rounds 2, 3 & 4.

I get it, I agree the value of a 1st is only valuable if the player performs. So Im good with trading multiple 1sts, it would be crazy to see though.

In my eyes, Howie Roseman can do whatever he wants during the draft. All three days. No matter what he does I am supremely confident that he knows what he is doing. I also anticipate more annual crying by players from other teams within the division, at the very least. Always worth it. I'll let someone else predict who that player or those players will be. It should not be too difficult. Much easier than predicting who will be the Eagles first pick this year.

I refuse to believe any Eagles fan will be upset with what Howie does. I think we all have the right to be curious, shocked even, but show me the Eagles fan who is upset with the FO?

My money is on a trade back into day 2. We have the last 1st round 5th year option pick. Someone will covet this and offer us something sweet and delicious. This is where I put my money.

Todd Mcshay talked about his on his Pod today. A lot of guys in the this draft position wise are guys who’d go maybe 2nd round. Like QB position Ward is your 4th or 5th best QB in last years draft. The OL? I’ve never seen draft guys like Duffy, Jeremiah, McShay, Muench, Mina Kimes etc talk about a position with guys with a lot of “stuff” in terms of character and and off field things. Nothing terrible on most guys though. OT wise Kelvin banks is being a reach mid first round should be a 2nd rounder.

However middle of this draft has a ton of good depth future starter guys. Maybe not all pros but guys you can plug in at OL or DL and play a good 8-10 seasons with.

Me too. This draft is fairly deep, but shallow at the top. Would love3 to see someone desperate enough to throw a future 1 at Philly to take that #32 pick. With real luck one of the QBs falls that far and a weak team pays to move up for them, but I have a feeling that isn't gonna happen. MOve back from the first, then spend some of those extra picks to move 5s and 6s into 3s 4s and 5s

It will become even more valuable is a QB (say Shedeur Sanders) is still available.

Jaxson Dart - please make your way to the podium.

That to say, QBs are typically over valued in round 1 so he could go top 8 for all I know.

The Eagles are declining the fifth-year option on wide receiver Jahan Dotson’s contract for 2026, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports. The move is not a surprise given Dotson’s lack of production last season in his first season with the Eagles. The team’s No. 3 receiver, who had 19 catches for 216 yards in 2024, would have received a fully guaranteed $16.8 million.

He now is scheduled for free agency in 2026. The Eagles acquired Dotson and a 2025 fifth-round pick from the Commanders for a 2025 third-round pick and two 2025 seventh-round picks. Washington used the third-rounder and one of the seventh-rounders in the trade with the Texans to acquire left tackle Laremy Tunsil this offseason.

honestly dont care what they do.. they could go kicker, qb, punter . im good
Oh there are a few positions, let alone players where I will lose my mind. Don't take your foot off the pedal.

I will die if we get one of these guys somehow

Starks
Carter
Warren
Williams

to a less degree

Stewart

would be awesome to trade the first and some of those late picks for a better 1st rounder next year. this draft is weak as hell

I keep hearing that, but I also keep hearing its the deepest draft at DE/DT/RB in a long time.

Is it because there are just not enough QBs or just lack of elite elite level prospects?

I would love to load up on 2nd rounders this year. Maybe 1.32 for an extra 2nd this and next. Any extra first next year is gravy.

We cant forget to plan on making Carter the highest paid defensive player of all time. Im sure Howie has this, but it is a must.

Howie move ...

Matt Judon was a bust in Atl last season. He is a UFA now, no? Any thoughts on him on a 1 year deal in Phi? Maybe even a cap friendly longish term deal?

If the Eagles traded into the top 18ish, who would you like to see them take?

My hope would be Mike Green. He feels like such an explosive player who is just starting to peak. He faced 2 sexual assualt charges, one in HS and one at UVA. However, no charges brought against him as far as I know. Anyone else have info on him?

honestly dont care what they do.. they could go kicker, qb, punter . im good
Oh there are a few positions, let alone players where I will lose my mind.

Is it because there are just not enough QBs or just lack of elite elite level prospects?

lack of elite. just dont see alot of game breakers out there. maybe its just me

Green is a DV guy and I don't think he is on the board.

If we go to 18, give me either Tyler Warren or Mykel Williams if we can get either.

I think we wait on DT since "anyone can line up next to JC" seems to be a theme

Ray Didinger was talking about three Georgia guys this morning: Jalon Walker, Malakai Starks and Mykel Williams. Said he like Walker and Starks better than Williams. Was really high on Walker. Said Williams tape this year was concerning and was much better last year. Reports Diddy heard were that Williams was playing through an ankle injury and that is why his tape wasn't good last season. He loved Walter Nolen, thinks he'll be gone before 20 or so picks but that Kenneth Grant could be there pick at 32, and that he would be a good pick as he is being overshadowed a bit by Mason Graham, but he thinks those two guys were pretty close production wise from the tape he watched.

EDIT: He said he thinks Green is the best pass rusher in the draft but with the off the field issues doesn't think the Eagles would take him.

I like Walker a lot but man, we have a roster littered with smaller edge guys. Eventually someone is going to run all over us or try to if we don't get some length and beef down on at least one end spot.

I'd be ok taking Jalon Walker, so long as we double dip with an old school LDE type like Nick Scourton or Tuimoloau

He said Walker was an intangible guy and that everyone raved about his leadership and work ethic qualities (a la Nakobe Dean).
