I know nothing will happen because "FIFA" but FIFA is officially opening an investigation into the sham peace award Infantino gave Trump as it was not approved by the board or anyone with in FIFA.

Supposedly Infantino can be removed from office by the board if the penalty is severe enough but we all know what will happen here

I just heard a committee full of wallets opening at the same time.

I have to think that the secondary market is going to crash as we get closer to many of the games. Some will hold value and some may even increase in value for the perfect matchups, but I have to think 75% of the games prices on the secondary market are as high as they are going to be today.
I don’t know if crash is the right word, but until all the inventory is sold, it’s tough to think prices won’t go down. Even if you take their 2 million sold at true, that’s only 20k a game (104 games) which is at best a third of the tickets.

Of course FIFA is also selling in other ways so maybe the 2 million is really 3 millions, but even then that’s only 30k sold per game.

I expect FIFA to take their time with the investigation mainly because it is going to be difficult for them to line up someone worse than Infantino to take over.

Worse yet, they could move fast, recall the award, and watch our gubmint sabotage the tournament. No visitors allowed.

YES.

Tickets day-of will sell at a loss for many games, I have no doubt.

I am not sure I follow this logic.

If tickets remain available to purchase at standard price, won’t that naturally, over time diminish the after market price hikes since why pay a premium if you can pay less? The flippers will be forced to eventually dump their tickets the closer we get to the games else lose their entire investment.

The exorbitant prices we see today are Hail Mary type hopes to fish some desperate buyers who don’t know how the process works or are too rich to really care.

I would think if and when all the tickets are sold and if there are people who still want to go to games may be then there will be enough demand for premium after market prices. This should happen for a handful of games.

I still stand by my first comment. As of today, most of the secondary market is over priced imo. I think the prices will be less as we get closer and closer to the games themselves and the flippers have to start dumping. I won’t argue whether it is a crash or not, that was probably a poor choice of words on my part.

Did any of you guys see the video floating of Brady taking a ball out of the bowl, looking at it, putting it back and picking up another one?

There were a number of times the person drawing started to draw a next ball before they were ready and were told to wait. I am guessing that was one of them. The only bit of sound I could make out, sounded like they were still announcing what group the previous team was going into, so not ready for the next ball yet.

makes sense. Brady's position was the least likely to have corruption since I think he was just placing the group leaders before anything else was drawn.

OK, so the next draw phase is the "Random Selection Draw". This to me sounds like they are going to open up sales for the remaining tickets to all games.

The Random Selection Draw application period runs from 11 December 2025 to 13 January 2026

But I'm confused. Don't we need to register for this draw like we did for the other 2 previous draws? Or will they simply use the previous entry?
