No invite received yet.Round 3
Wyld Stallyns (0) vs. Shuke (0)
FWIW, I'm in the middle of a friendly game with him, 3 days/move, and he's 2 hours away from timing out against me. Not sure where he went, but this disappearance seems unusual given how quickly he was playing moves earlier on.No invite received yet.Round 3
Wyld Stallyns (0) vs. Shuke (0)

He lost to me - my guess is he immediately realized what this meant and uninstalled the app and then cancelled his internet access.FWIW, I'm in the middle of a friendly game with him, 3 days/move, and he's 2 hours away from timing out against me. Gggbbogie. Felt uneasy for most of that one. Lucky to come away with the win.Bogart vs. UniAlias (0-1)
One of my better games against Uni, but I'm still his #####.
Why the hell doesn't this happen when you are playing me??I made a horrible blunder thinking I was in Analyze mode and as my finger was hitting the "yes" button to accept the move my brain was screaming "NO!" But it was too late and jweldy jumped on it. I then was in a horrible mood and screwed up again the very next move when I had a chance to make a game of it. We are still battling but I need a miracle now.
Chess time could make a mint if there was an add on that allowed you to buy "undo" tokens. Why the hell doesn't this happen when you are playing me??I made a horrible blunder thinking I was in Analyze mode and as my finger was hitting the "yes" button to accept the move my brain was screaming "NO!" If you could only take back one move at a time, I'd say you have no chance to win and a very small chance to even draw. By the time you realize you are going to lose it will probably be too late. With as many takebacks as you wanted, as far back as you want to go, I think the game would go on forever. You would never lose because you would always just rewind until you didn't lose.Regarding take backs, here's something I've always wondered about:
I'm a "B" player, somewhere between 1600-1700. Suppose I played a highly ranked grandmaster, but I had unlimited take backs, whenever I wanted, as many as I wanted at a time: could I eventually beat the grandmaster? Or is the best I could achieve a draw?
For the entertainment of all, please compare and contrast playing the GM vs. playing me.kutta said:If you could only take back one move at a time, I'd say you have no chance to win and a very small chance to even draw. I lost to a Grandmaster who was playing 24 games at a time and spent about 10 seconds at each board. It was really embarrassing. He killed me.timschochet said:Regarding take backs, here's something I've always wondered about:

1. Joffer and Charvik, please confirm that your game is in progress.
2. andyjayhawker, please confirm that you have received no invitation yet.
3. Shuke, please confirm that you have received no invitation yet.
Depending on the answers I get here, I might have andy play Shuke, or one of you play Eddie, and remove whoever has made no challenge from the tournament. Let me know ASAP and I will decide, thanks.
I am?Progressing slowly. He's ahead
The match between VA703 & I went (0-1), but I played as black.timschochet said:timschochet (2) vs. Psychopav (2) (1-0)

Lol. You are really underselling yourself. I think all our games can be traced to one goof by you. Overall you play very solidly. This game we have going now is very tight. But the grandmaster was really good...For the entertainment of all, please compare and contrast playing the GM vs. playing me.kutta said:If you could only take back one move at a time, I'd say you have no chance to win and a very small chance to even draw. If the same exact position occurs three times, the player with the move can, but is not forced to, claim a draw without the agreement of the other player.Ok, I'm not 100% certain what happened but JoeT and I drew.
What's the rule about it being an auto-draw if you get in the same position 3 times? Because that's apparently what happened.
It was a comedy of errors all match.![]()
Thanks Tasker. If the same exact position occurs three times, the player with the move can, but is not forced to, claim a draw without the agreement of the other player.Threefold repetitionOk, I'm not 100% certain what happened but JoeT and I drew.

I think Chess Time forces a draw. I wasn't given any option either way.If the same exact position occurs three times, the player with the move can, but is not forced to, claim a draw without the agreement of the other player.Threefold repetitionOk, I'm not 100% certain what happened but JoeT and I drew.

No, it was a draw unless one of us hits a button wrong or something. There was nothing left to do.Do you want to try and play it out?I think Chess Time forces a draw. Whatever makes it easier.timschochet said:Looks like Shuke is the only one who never got an invite.
Shuke, you need to decide: I can pair you with Eddie Spaghetti this round, or give you a forfeit win. If I don't hear from you before the final game for this round has been completed, it will be a forfeit win.
kutta pretty much outplayed me throughout except for that one blunder, but chess is an cruel, unforgiving game.I made a horrible blunder thinking I was in Analyze mode and as my finger was hitting the "yes" button to accept the move my brain was screaming "NO!" Not really, just good at taking advantage of people when they are drinking while avoiding to play (mostly) while I drink myself. /grandmastertacticsBelieve me, I'm aware.
