Yes you can take time off for work or sleep or whatever. Yes you can take time to think about an especially difficult move or set of moves. But other than that you need to move quickly.

No single game should take at the very most longer than 72 hours to complete from the moment I post the matchup. If you find it impossible to keep to this limitation, let me know right now and I will ask you to leave the tournament and I will re-match your opponent. Sorry but anyone who averages 2-3 moves a day is going to destroy the tourney for everyone else.

No way I make more than 5 moves a day FWIW. The only reason I even play on chess time is the slow roll. Like I said, most of my games with shuke are 3-4 weeks

1. Either NajehHajen or rajincajun need to post in here by 5pm PST tomorrow or they're both out of the tournament.

2. Sand needs to challenge dancingbones and start his game by 12pm PST tomorrow or he is out of the tournament; if that happens, dancingbones receives a 1st round bye and 1 point.

3. Joffer needs to let me know by 5pm PST tomorrow if Shuke is still averaging 2-3 moves per day. If so, Shuke is out of the tournament, and Joffer wins round 1 by forfeit.

4. All games for round 1 need to be completed by Thursday afternoon, 12 pm PST. If they are not, I will decide on a game by game basis how to handle it. If I see that anyone is averaging only a few moves a day, that person is going to be out of the tournament.

I'll assume you are being serious even though I know I shouldn't. Don't take offense to this.

You're horrible - you move your pieces around the board haphazardly and don't protect anything and have no concerns for board position. My 10 year old is better and I can only assume your are either trolling us or you've never played before. And I say this as someone who sucks by comparison to most of the players in this tournament.

My suggestion is to read those links Bender posted and continue playing practice matches. If you'd like I could get my 10 year olds chesstime login and give to you.

Otis and I are moving along. I'm slowing things down because out of town on business all week and have trouble accessing my phone at times. We will try to get done by Thursday but it might be tough.
