I agree! I hated to pass him up at 49 he was BPA.But Kicker was such big need that it did not matter. At 2.18 (#50 Overall) The St. Louis Rams select Fabian Washington CB Nebraska
Couldnt believe he slipped to us....this is one our biggest areas of need, as Travis Fisher & Jeremetrius Butler were not world-beaters last year, to say the least. We like Butler as the #2, and this allows us to move Fisher to NB.
Look at some of Washington's combine stats
5'11 (good size)
4.29 in the 40 (best among CBs, 2nd best in the entire NFL Draft)
2.41 in the 20 (best among CB's)
41 1/2 Vertical (Tied for 4th among CBs)
25 WOnderlic (Tied for 4th among CB's)
10'9 Broad Jump (Tied for 4th among CB's)
Needless to say STL just got a steal.
5th round would be the steal of all steals. I've seen him go early/mid 2nd and sometimes late 3rd depending on what draft site it is. Some love him and others don't seem to have paid enough attention to him. His biggest weakness is his 5'11" height. Other than that he is well built and very strong (34 reps), has 4.5 speed and can cover most of the field, is quick to make tackles and great at run coverage, and just plays tough and hits hard. If he were 2 inches taller, He'd be a top 5 LB IMO.I don't have problem with going LB. But why McCune? I did not see him going till the 5th round.........#48 Cincinnati, Robert McCune, LB, Louisville
At #17 Cincy took Shaun Cody to help out on the run defense. With this pick Cincy will take smash mouth player in McCune.
That was the other player I had thought about at #48. Good pick this far into the 2nd.At 2.18 (#50 Overall) The St. Louis Rams select Fabian Washington CB Nebraska

All good points. I more worried about beening 26 year old rookie. But then again LB is one spot where you can play till your in mid 30's. I will keep on this guy in the draft see how he does this season...5th round would be the steal of all steals. It was a bit of a reach for me to take him at #48, I won't argue that. The age is an issue and he's just not getting the hype that some others are by draft gurus. I'll be keeping a close eye on him as well and would love to see Green Bay take a chance on him with one of their two 2nd rounders. I think he has the talent though and there were already 7 LB's gone at that spot (which is more than I think will be gone by #48) and I also just wanted to grab one before too many were off the board by Cincy's next pick. I had an offer to trade down, but I was away all morning and didn't want to hold the draft up more than what I had already. All good points. I more worried about beening 26 year old rookie. So does BUF get the chance to pick up Green if he wishes then?Yes as long as the player hadn't been picked but only one pick could have been made.

2nd for M PattersonLet's vote on NYJ
1st Round - CB Justin Miller CLEM
Needs are:
CB, TE, RT, S, DT
I Vote:
Mike Patterson USC DT
Alex Smith TE STAN (might be a reach but the depth this year is weak at TE)
Ernest Shazor MICH S
Eh? Reasoning? I'd like to see a write-up about how Arrington will fit in with last year's 2nd rounder, Tatum Bell, newly signed Ron Dayne, coming back from injuries Mike Anderson and Quentin Griffin?56 Denver
JJ Arrington, RB Cal
1. It throws a little twist into this draft and for other teams that may be in need of a RB.2. Bell, Griffin, Dayne, and the injured pot smoking Anderson are not exactly what I call a deep RB group. And shanny will have to take a RB somewhere.Eh? Reasoning? Good deal. I definitely like the 3rd down / pass catching idea. I can definitely see that as something panning out. I'll still be shocked if the Broncos go RB before 4th round. But, nuttty things happen. Personally I think all our mocks are way off, and you'll see an alarming # of DE's and NT's go in the first 15 picks.1. 3. Arrington will be a great 3rd down and receiving back for them.
4. I'm still not 100% sold on Tatum Bell being a stud.
5. It would raise all kinds of hell in fantasy discussion throughout the whole year.
I have to go with Alex Smith, they have no TE, their D line is mostly set. They just signed Josh Evans and have Robertson therre as well2nd for M PattersonLet's vote on NYJ

Currently, Green Bay still has some needs of which DE, LB and Safety are most important. With new QB in the fold the Packers need another weapon on defense yet won't be reaching for a DE here as there isn't a prospect that sticks out ahead of the others. With that said, Anthony Simmons probably ends up signing sooner rather than later as soon as he accepts that he isn't getting a big payday. This means the Pack is looking for a solid SS that can get in the box and tackle or has game speed enough to fall back in coverage.New York Jets select:
Alex Smith TE STAN
