A-List Celebrity To Be Outed As A Sexual Predator (1 Viewer)

I wonder if this is a type of industry hazing. Could it be that Haim's predators were molested/raped when they were younger as well? The gay-straight thing might not be the issue.

The piece also includes an extensive interview with Anne Henry, co-founder of the BizParentz Foundation, an organization established to protect child actors, who says: “We estimate that about 75 percent of the child actors who ‘went off the rails’ suffered earlier abuse. Drug addiction, alcoholism, suicide attempts, wandering through life without a purpose—they can all be symptoms.”
Henry adds, “We believe Hollywood is currently sheltering about 100 active abusers.”
Thring also writes about the documentary An Open Secret, made by Oscar-nominated director Amy Berg. Despite the success of movies such as Spotlight it has struggled to find distribution.

Couple other thoughts:

- Bill Cosby - not that he was in this ring but he clearly led a double life with no problem for a long time.

- Roman Polanski - how long ago was that? In this context....

The 35-year-old former child star said in the interview, tabled to promote his latest film, The Trust, about corrupt cops planning to steal drug money, that he had been protected from abuse by his mother, Debra, and “never went to parties where that kind of thing was going on,” but said that other child actors had been regularly “preyed upon” by “vipers” in Hollywood.

All this hype makes me want to run out and buy Corey Feldman's latest album.
As you read more about his crazy Today show appearance, the backlash, and now the support from the backlash, I'm beginning to wonder how many more times Feldman can use the "hey, remember me? Goonies? Corey and Corey? We were raped and stuff....buy my new album"

Uhh...watching that performance was one of the more uncomfortable experiences I've had in a while. I went from, 'this should be some good unintentional comedy' to slack-jawed disbelief in about 30 seconds. I honestly can't believe anyone allowed him to go through with that.

I'd probably let an old guy fiddle me as a kid for me to be able to finger bang any teenage girl, 2-3 years younger or older than I am just for saying hello.

Feldman comes across as a pretty disgusting character in that Haim video, he's arguably complicit from the sound of it.
Some great made-for-tv drama there.

The theory that @ShamrockPride referred to in the post I quoted wasn't even Lucas, and Sheen, but some other movie and Robert Downey, Jr.

You also said 'mostly', which means it was filmed elsewhere.

Either way, actors bump into other actors all the time.  Chwcking IMDB pages for co-stars is a bad way to start an investigation.
There are a lot of conflicting "facts" about this story.

It seems Feldman has said that Haim's first abuse was both at 11 and 14 years of age.

maybe the sexual abuse was at 11 and 14 was the first time he had to see Feldman act.

How you doin?  *wink*
I have the eminence-like body of a prepubescent boy... but probably too much hair to be attractive to these Hollyweird types.

It really is a pretty good deal though.  Add in all the cocaine to help me forget and it's pretty much a nobrainer.

Yeah, just read up on the Pitt story and it sounds like a row between dad and his teenage son that occurred in a public setting.  If that's what ot amounts to I can't say I find it too distressing.  I know my 14 year old boy puts me through my paces at times so I can empathize.

And then it turned out that Pitt and his son were actually the same person all along.
