Adrian Peterson breaks single game record this week! (1 Viewer)

LT + ADP owner in redraft. Nobody knew what was coming!!!
LT + AP in dynasty...even better.
AP + Gore + Portis + L. White in one of my dynasty leagues. Even better! :(AP + MJD + Bush + Rudi in another. SUPER TASTY! :)
To me that's lame. Not trying to offend... but makes the draft kinda boring (especially auction leagues), and that's too many studs off the board. Although the affinity you can get with those players is nice. 4, 5, 6+ just seems like way too many.
only one reason on how one can assemble those teams :sadbanana:

His being limited in practice so far this week has me a little concerned. Not that he won't play, but that we'll see something similar to last week in terms of getting him out of the game early if the game is out of hand early. I'll take his production from last week, but perhaps he will not have that production and the game will already be a beating. I don't think he'll approach 300 either way, but for him to have a chance, he'd probably need close to 25 carries anyways. I don't think he gets that many in this game.

:lmao: I don't see the Vikes leaving him in there if the game is won. The only way he stays in is if SF keeps the game close. Um, I don't expect that to happen. I'd love to see 2 TDs but I'm expecting 120/1 with a handful of receiving yards this week. If they let him vulture some TDs that would be nice, but unexpected.

Ok, clearly this is going to turn into a "ADP tears his ACL, MCL, and PCL, out for eternity" thread by Sunday. These threads never end well.

Sweet, I was waiting for this thread to get bumped. This game raises serious questions as to whether Peterson is a viable starter for the rest of the fantasy playoffs. Not only did he do terrible in this game, he wasn't even the starter. Taylor was on the field most of the time.

You heard it here first. ADP is going to go for over three hundy this week. San Fran has the 26th rated rush defense. ADP is now one week back from the injury and looks to have no side effects. They have not seen anything remotely close to ADP all season. This is the week that All Day claims the NFL MVP! You heard it here first.FWIW - I am a lifelong Packer fan and I've never seen a back as good as ADP.
Thanks for the Jinx. :P :lmao:

11 attempts/1 yd in the 4th qtr.

Oops- Edit: 12 attempts for 0 yds :P

Peterson looked like absolute garbage today but I think you're being guilty of severe overreacting. There's no question he murdered his fantasy owners today but he still got double-digit carries. Given his talent, if that remains the case I think what we saw will be viewed as an aberration. If Peterson owners are still alive next week I wouldn't hesitate to start him against the Bears.

Please stop making predictions about Adrian Peterson. Thank you. Sincerely, Adrian Peterson owners

You are right. I am. Barry Sanders had a few games like this. This is simply a case where Peterson had zero room to run. Chester Taylor suffered the same fate save for one long run. San Francisco prepared to stop the run and they did just that. I doubt Peterson could be kept in check like this every game. Odds are this is a significant aberration.

Remember when Jamal Lewis called the Browns' defensive players to tell them he was setting the rushing record against them, and then did?

If that phone call and this thread ever touched, the world would cease to exist.

Yeah kind of whiffed there. Still won my game where I have ADP though so I'm happy I didn't need him. Going to be a tough decision between him and Earnest Graham next week though.

You're crazy.
You aren't the first person to tell me this.
Dude, you completely whiffed on an out-of-this-world prediction. Don't let that make you bench AD in favor of Graham. I'm doing my civic duty here. AD is unbenchable. Period.

The only caveat I'd put on this is: How Is The Knee? Makes a big big difference.-QG

This is more my thinking. I did flip the game on and see him getting his brace re-wrapped.
