Totally agree the show lost its way the 2nd half of season 3. It wasn't terrible but just had so much potential and it didn't live up to it.
Love the Stevie Nicks appearances.
What test did Precious fail? I missed that.
I also had the 1:05 issue but I tracked down the ending.

I really disliked this season. They've gotten progressively worse. I feel like the whole season was just a bunch of random BS to fill time and the finale seemed totally irrelevant to everything that happened throughout the season. The last 5 episodes I think I fell asleep 15 minutes into each of them. All that said, the acting is superb and I look forward to next season

That's kind of the way I feel, too, except that I didn't dislike the season quite as much as you appear to.
It's like the writers had some big set pieces in mind, but really didn't know how to tie them together with the main plot to make any sense. The "throw it against the wall and don't care if it sticks" of last season didn't work as well for me this season. I'd like to see them whittle down the number of storylines in future seasons to something that can make sense in a 13 episode arc and let it breathe a little.
That said, the cast was fantastic. You can tell they had a blast.

Precious failed the test where she had to bring Zoe back to life.
I gotta admit, I try not to nitpick endings but that was pretty brutal. The plot holes were ridiculous: Madison just showing us she can make people do what she wants through mind control and that boy choked her out no problem? They can seemingly bring witches back to life but for some unknown reason they don't try when other witches die (I.e. mentally handicapped girl)? The witch hunters fall for such an easy trap and are basically powerless?
I do like that Cordelia became the supreme because it justified her mom finally dying, but otherwise we had all these complex characters and stories I thought they developed well only to haphazardly conclude.

This season left me cold. Too many plot lines that were left hanging or with no resolution or with no direction, the plot seemed to get thinner and thinner each week. As mentioned by others, the season seemed to grind to a halt and unravel after the first few episodes.
I could have just watched the last episode and gotten the drift on the entire season.
I liked the first two seasons for different reasons but now am wondering what kind of longevity this show will have now. The next season will be make-or-break.

To be fair, it's gotta be challenging writing a completely new story every season so some or gonna bust.

Well, this kind of sucks. I watched Season 2 on Prime and was curious to know if Season 3 was worth looking forward to. It sounds like not.
The concept behind this show this show is pretty cool, but maybe a full season per "story" is asking too much.

Now that the new season started just realized I never got around to Coven....whats the consensus on it?
I think I enjoyed Season 1 slightly more than Asylum, but I thought Asylum had a stronger storyline and better character development. IMO Asylum definitely had a better finish/season finale.

I think the consensus seems to be it was like a 6/10, with a good strong 8/10 start, and a blah 4/10 finish.
In all, I'd still rather watch it than Friends reruns, but not by much.

Season 5 starting in a couple weeks, which made me just realize I still never fired up Freak Show yet.
I asked a similar question about a year ago, but whats the consensus on Freak Show vs Coven??
While I enjoyed Coven, it was a definite disappointment compared to seasons 1 & 2, and thought it went downhill somewhat as the season progressed whereas the first 2 got better.

Also hard to tell on IMDB who all is back this season but seems like maybe a few less familiar faces. Intrigued by Gaga, and actually like that it looks like Wes Bentley has a main role this season. Dude has always been a good actor, surprised his career didnt take off after American Beauty.

Started watching the new show Scream Queens on Fox...it was OK but imagine it will get much worse

I tried to watch it.. lasted about 30 minutes.. Swtched back a couple of times to see if it was getting better only to see it was getting worse.. Too bad as I thought it had potential but way too stupid for my taste..

Like Coven, I lost interest in Freak Show after about 4/5 episodes and never finished either one. I guess I'll give Hotel a try too but I'm assuming the same thing will happen.

I could see this happening as far as showing the history of the hotel and backtracking through gruesome events. Whether that means some of those characters are still around during present day as ghosts is another story.Really looking forward to this season.. Hoping they return to something along the lines of the first season which is still my favorite..

I get that Scream Queens is intentionally campy but it didn't do it for me.
AHS Hotel had one heck of an opening. While at times it felt it was pushing boundaries just to push them, I really liked the way it came together near the end. As always, I will watch the whole season.

yeah, funny how they seem to get the music right. I'm glad a few people in here mentioned this. Made me think back to the season in the hospital with that French song they had with it, song was in my head for a good 6 months.Dickies said:
