Wow, I need to pat myself on the back for this one. Pretty sure I was right on all counts. Don't forget the crazy mistress hadn't been killed yet. Even nailed that the kid was the neighbor's son. The only thing that I don't quite get was that when Tate scratched the girl who was being a jerk to violet they showed his face but also the crazy looking things face back and forth. I assume being ghosts allows Tate to work with what I assume is Dr. Frankenstein's kid.I have to say, it isn't a bad show at all. Enjoying it. I think the family, neighbor & daughter, ghost tour, home invaders, cops from home invaders (unsure about other cop), crazy mistress, mom's doc and burned guy are all non-ghosts. I don't think the ghosts can appear outside of the home area and will stick with that until we actually see one of the confirmed ghosts leave the premises. Neighbor & daughter can see the ghosts because we know that they lived in the house.I like the idea that the maid can't leave. Adds a new dimension to the ghosts. Also, I think the kid ghost is either the neighbor's son, she mentioned only one of her kids wasn't a disaster, or he is the boy from the Dr. Frankenstein last night. I could see the mom killing herself after finding out what her husband does to the kid.

mistress are both dead, never left the premises, but thought they did..LOL, no, my post was before she was really killed and is now a ghost. When I said she was a non-ghost that was based on the Boston trip, i.e. she wasn't just in the dad's head/he only sees ghosts. Early on there were a lot of questions about who was really dead and who wasn't, even to a point of everyone already being ghosts.WatWow, I need to pat myself on the back for this one. what about the scene on the beach.. Tate is dead.. People he killed are dead.. yet all are on the beach.. or maybe the daughter was just dreaming that whole sequence???

True. I should have interpreted the ghost rule handbook about murder houses and the one night of freedom on Halloween. So, let me rephrase that. Accounting for leap years, 1 night every 365.25 days, hmmm, that gets me to 99.72621492128679% correct on ghosts not being able to leave the house. I wonder why Tate doesn't remember going Columbine on the kids.
Well, it doesn't seem like he knows he is dead so not remembering the killings seems to be the least of his issues..I wonder why Tate doesn't remember going Columbine on the kids.

I thought it was a woman, one of the nursesWhos Constance? The neighbor? I think her only concern is that baby. I dont think shes trying to hurt or help the family. My wife who just happened to be in the room had to leave. She said she didn't want anything ruining CamGuess there's not a lot of crossover between American Horror Story and Modern Family fans.Great to see Cam in another role.

Sexiest ghost everWell I for one am never letting a ghost near my ####.
her older sister (Vera Farmiga) has been good in several movies also (The Departed, Up in the Air, Source Code).I was kinda iffy on this show at first, but it's something I look forward to every week now.LMFAO at Hey Piggy Man and the results in his apartment
Also, the daughter is a pretty damn good actress
at the same time.well yeah, what did you think she was doing?Anyone notice Connie Britton's scene when she sits up in bed she has her "toy" in her hand.
That's the least interesting stoyline to me,Tate has become 1 of my favorite characters and the Tate/Violet relationship, will Violet reveal to him that he's a ghost, etc is the most interesting thing for me at the moment. I also totally agree with whoever said Taissa Farmiga is a hell of an actress.

About 75% of the content is new episode to episode. Thats one of the few carryovers that gets a legit 5-10 minutes every episode which is why Im more interested in how it pans out. Either way, I like all of the storylines at this point. That said, Im not sure if its on purpose or not, but it feels like the family's storyline is becoming more individual stories than the family as a whole. Yes, the dad isnt living there anymore which makes that easier, but rarely do you even see 2 of the 3 in the same scene together. Its setting up that each of them have their own horror "story". I could see how the last 3 episodes would be the death of each in separate episodes. The parents will definitely die, Tate might save Violet, but I have a feeling he finds out he is a ghost as doesn't save her so she will be in the house with him eternally.‘American Horror Story’ Two-Hour Finale Will Be Trimmed To 90 Minutes

EXCLUSIVE: FX’s hot new drama series American Horror Story‘s 13-episode first season will be actually 12.5 episodes. The horror drama’s first season finale on Dec. 21, which had been slated as two-hour, will now be 90-minutes. The trimming of the finale is a result of American Horror Story’s very aggressive production schedule which left no breathing room. The project was picked up to pilot in late February. Creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk couldn’t work on the pilot until they wrapped the second season of Glee, so it didn’t start shooting until late May. In a quick turnaround, FX picked up the pilot to series on July 18, and it was rushed to production 2 weeks later to make the Oct. 5 premiere date. With the first episode after the pilot doing some reshoots and some of the episodes requiring 8-day shoots vs. the standard 7 because of complex scenes, production on the series is now at a point where Episode 13 would wrap on Dec. 15, leaving no time for post-production to make the Dec. 21 air date. And because of the holidays, it didn’t make sense to push that last episode to Dec. 28 or the new year. Murphy had been discussing the issue with FX president John Landgraf for the past few weeks. There was an option for the series to drop the 13th episode altogether and air an hourlong finale, but I hear Murphy was able to put together a plan for a 90-minute episode to give viewers a satisfying ending. American Horror Story has already been renewed for a second season after a red-hot ratings run, punctuated by another series high this week, and I hear that its second season may be extended beyond 13 episodes.
Very, very interesting on multiple levels. Surprising they planned a 120 minute season finale to begin with, so a 90 minute finale doesnt sour me.Awesome that the show has been extended for another season, although I figured this was a 1 season show. It will be interesting to see if they keep it going with the current family for another season, kill them off but keep the house, or something new all together. At this point, Id say kill the family and keep the house, bring back a new family of good actors next year and expand on the houses history.‘American Horror Story’ Two-Hour Finale Will Be Trimmed To 90 Minutes

I'd wrap up the characters and house this season, starting fresh somewhere else next year. I don't see how they can extend both the house and the same characters past this season and keep its credibility (probably a strange thing to say about a horror show). Too much has happened for it not to come to a crescendo in December - the charcters are nearing the breaking point and I can't imagine how much more they can stuff into the house's history without it seeming like overload. All that said, the show gets a big thumbs-up from me. All of the performances are good and I love the little throwaway one-liners that inject some humor into each episode (the RE agent & Larry, especially). I also get a chuckle from Viv's reaction to men drooling over Moira when she's seeing an old woman.Awesome that the show has been extended for another season, although I figured this was a 1 season show. If they can come up with another great and totally different concept for the next season, Id be on board with that. Who knows if they will or not. I dont think I would really want to see something similar with a different house.Either way, I definitely think the family should be dead for the next season, but I think the house might still be around because'Uruk-Hai said:I'd wrap up the characters and house this season, starting fresh somewhere else next year. The odd thing is that we haven't seen a ghost from that gap. You'd think one would've popped up by now. But you're right - lotsa missing years there that I wasn't accounting for.My initial thinking with starting fresh somewhere else next year was that there's so many other things they could do (so many other "whens" too). But they've loaded this season up with so many different angles that maybe anything they tried to do new would be derivative of season one.If they can come up with another great and totally different concept for the next season, Id be on board with that. 1) If the family is dead now you can have them as ghosts which will be interesting to see how their characters act or change in that capacity
2) Even more importantly is that right now, there is a major gap in the house's history between the original owners (1923) and the nurses that die (1969, IIRC. It was definitely late 60's-early 70's though) that hasnt been addressed at all. So right now the writers have almost 50 years of leeway to keep it with this house and have totally new ghosts except for the original owners as all the other ghosts we know wouldnt exist since they were in the future. I wouldnt mind getting more backstory about Dr. Frankenstein either, personally.
He seems to be a somewhat gray area at this point...That said, I think Tate died in '94, so my guess is he lived in the house in between then and the gays, and killed/burned his family because of the house telling him to. He's the only character/ghost that we've seen outside of the house (except for Halloween), so that leads me to what I just said that he is alive as well. I figure they moved into the house in that time frame and he got bored with his wife and wanted Constance. This would also make sense because he killed Constance's "attic son" the other episode so their time in the house is both pretty recent.Still having trouble figuring out Larry's story. Is he alive or a ghost? He was involved with Constance before he moved his family into the house?

This would also make sense because he killed Constance's "attic son" the other episode so their time in the house is both pretty recent.Still having trouble figuring out Larry's story. Is he alive or a ghost? He was involved with Constance before he moved his family into the house?
Yeah, they made it pretty clear his wife set the blaze.no he didntHe seems to be a somewhat gray area at this point...That said, I think Tate died in '94, so my guess is he lived in the house in between then and the gays, and killed/burned his family because of the house telling him to. This actually confused me a bit as well. When he told the story to Ben, he said that he lit the curtains and the house on fire. However, when they showed the flashback last episode, his wife is the one who lit her room (with her kids in it I think) on fire. So I can see why there would be confusion about that. I think the flashback is the real version. I think he is alive and not a ghost in any form. Just my takeno he didntHe seems to be a somewhat gray area at this point...That said, I think Tate died in '94, so my guess is he lived in the house in between then and the gays, and killed/burned his family because of the house telling him to. Right. I don't recall the specific dialogue that he had with Ben in the most recent episode, but it was pretty clear that he had lied to him earlier when he said he killed his family. This actually confused me a bit as well.
