Not always. Dish and Disney had a dispute over HD channels and they have been gone for over a year.

I've had DirecTV for about 10 years and have seen those commercials and the different channels in the guide regarding various different channels in disputes with DirecTV. I cannot remember a single instance where the channel went off the air as a result.Maybe Versus? But, Versus is back now. Versus also isn't nearly in as much demand as the Fox channels.

That was my take as well. All those damn commercials did was make me NOT want to watch.

It actually had the opposite effect on me - left me intrigued as to what it was about that I wanted to check it out. Haven't done that yet, which is why i popped into the thread, but I thought the marketing was interesting.

This episode totally has me hooked. Was even thinking about it this morning while I was getting dressed (in the dark as not to wake up the wife) when my 5 year old appeared out of nowhere and I just about shat myself.

Because two of them were nearly killed there, there's all sorts of weirdness going on, including dad getting cruised by the dead gay guy last night. Go live in a car. Anywhere. But get the hell out of that house.It's the same fundamental problem all haunted house stories have to try and overcome. Why would people stay so long in a place that clearly is causing them massive amounts of turmoil and danger? I'll admit I'm in the Eddie Murphy camp that at the first hint of trouble I'm bailing so there's that.

Burnt man seems seems crazy enough that there's no telling what the money is for. I think it's just sort of MacGuffin to keep him showing up from time to time. If I had enough cash to fly cross country to Boston and back, build a gazebo and get a new home security system installed, I'd be tempted to scrape together another $1,000 in hope he'd go away.
