Here is my take as a Colts
What if the Colts played their entire team this year and then lost in the playoffs? What do they then do going forward? You cannot base this year's results on prior year's results. It is far too small a sample size to base today's decision upon.
With that said, I thought it was a terrible decision by Caldwell. Assuming it was he (or Colts brass) that made the decision to pull the starters, it took the players opportunity for mortality away from them. Noone who made the decision was even a player! That part is sickening!!!
While the Jets weren't without a chance to win this game, it was obvious that with Manning playing, the Colts would have won this game. Then a solid half against the Bills and the Colts could have done the improbable.
Caldwell will never live this down, especially if the Colts go on to win it all IMO.

So... if the starters play another 20 minutes vs. the Jets, then roll their helmets on the field against the Bills, they don't win those two playoff games?Forgive me if I disagree.
