Any Willie Parker trades today in your leagues? (2 Viewers)

I play in a 12 team keeper league (keep 1 rds 1-5, 1 rds 6-10, 1 rds 11-16. Have to give up that pick next year). I drafted Larry Johnson and FWP (6th and 12th respectively) and while it is tempting to trade them, I want to hold onto them so I can start off next year with 2 strong RBs for relatively nothing. My other backs are D Davis, J Lewis, and Barlow. Am I crazy to hold onto them or am I doing the right thing? Thanks.

Welcome aboard. I'd hold on to the two unless you get a great offer. You might also look at trading Jlewis or Davis as the season goes along, only if LJ and FWP emerge as it seems they might.

Thanks for the response. That's what I'm thinking about doing. I'm quite deep at RB and not too strong at WR. Maybe I could trade J Lewis for a strong receiver. Any suggestions of potential value?

I was offered Kris Wilson and Derrick Blaylock for FWP and Todd Heap. I tried to reach out across the internet and slap him. He is one of two newbies in our six year 12 team league.

10 team dynasty league with 1pt per reception.Willie Parker and Ben Roethlisbergerfor Ahman Green and Eli Manning

Reuben Droughns and Marty Booker for FWP. I have LT, RJ and KJ along with FWP, and I dropped Givens to pick up FWP. I too slapped him down.

For those of you trading FWP, you haven't waited long enough, he is going to explode on Houston tomorrow and his value will skyrocket after 2 dominating weeks consecutively. I know everyone is riding his jock, but the kid looks like Barry Sanders. The real test will be next weekend against NE, if you must trade him only get studs in return. FWP for K McCardell doesn't cut it.

I will find out tomorrow morning if my offer of Michael Clayton for him was enough to get the deal done. I will update then... hoping it goes through.

I traded FWP and LJ Smith for Driver and Gonzo in a dynasty league. The commish approved the trade but one owner protested. I'm think it's going to stand. What do you think?

I think that it is fine..

See Steelers comment above. I could not agree more. Leading all rushers last week is great incentive for other owners to come knocking for fwp though this week he has a chance to show, though limited and against waeker D's, consistency.Keep and start FWP this week if you havent already gotten goofy good offers for him. Courting owners will have to up the ante if he goes off this week. If he doesn't well....your "stuck" with FWP.

Love to see the arguement against it. Some people will protest anything.

My trade was rejected just for the record. Michael Clayton not enough for Parker in my league.

The Houston run D is much better than people give them credit for. Granted, they're a mediocre run D, but they're not in the bottom tier like people seem to be implying. Houston has allowed 1 total rushing TD in their last 14 games.

No trades yet...But I was offeredWillie Parker & Isaac Bruce forReggie WayneHis rb's:Portis, Ahman Green, DroughnsBarlowHis wr:Boldin, Bruce, Steve Smith, Rod Smith, Keenan McCardellHe really wants Wayne...I was thinking about it cause that'll give me the Stl. Rams passing offense..but that'll leave me with 1 real stud at wr and 2 good wr's...Really weaken my wr core...I told him I'ld think about it..Nonetheless..that's the offer I got from Willie Parker owner..

If you got a better WP offer than this, I want to hear about it"In my $150 each owner money league, containing no lunatics or children, I was, on Wednesday last week, as God is my witness, offered:Donovan McNabb for Willie ParkerandD. Davis for Willie Parker.I turned them down. Have Favre and Hasselbeck, Alexander and Johnson, and we have a playoff schedule that includes weeks 15, 16, 16.Crazy or no?D

i trade Willie Parker last week with issac bruce for Torry Holt.I may have overpaid for Holt but my WR were thin andI have Barber, Julius Jones, Dillon, Duckett..... I figured he was a sell high player with the whole Bettis Staley Return.... but now I'm thinking I should have tried to trade someone else instead

You should have had the other owner throw in some grammar and punctuation lessons.

I would have taken DD over Parker in a heartbeat. I am a big steeler fan and love Willie, but DD is proven and has a soft schedule in the second half. He stays on the field all the time unlike willies role in the future. We are not sure of his role, if he can take the pounding that the steelers will give him, or if Bettis/staley will cut into his workload. Bill C. is all about winning and not fantasy football. He will do what is in the best interest of the pittsburgh steelers---If that means giving Bettis the goalline work and Duce some work between the 20's, then FWP carries go to 15-19 a week. Too Uncertain for me--I would rather go for the sure thing in DD. I have FWP and am trying to trade him, but have been turned down by the DD owner and the Westbrook owner

(just my two cents)

Received an offer just now in my main $150, 12 teamer, redraft - of FWP for Marvin Harrison straight up. Sooooo tempting. Truly a buy low, sell high deal.

I wouldn't take Harrison. Look at FWP's playoff schedule. Harrison is no longer head and shoulders above the pack.

offered either of these two trades last weekWParkerDStaleyDStallworthorDDavisDStallworthfor either DJaxorRWayneToday, I feel like I won the lottery.....because he took the DDavis/Stallworth for DJax option

I just offered Parker and D. Jackson for R. Moss.Doubt if he takes it but he is very thin at RB.He only has P. Holmes as a starter.

2005 Steelers Playoff Schedule (Weeks 14,15,16)Dec 11 Chicago

Dec 18 @ Minnesota

Dec 24 @ Cleveland

This IS a very good fantasy playoff schedule. That is actually the reason I moved up to get S. Alexander in the draft- he also has a very favorable playoff schedule.

Holy moly...I think you're giving him too much here.

Calico is worthless. I see your dilemna but I think you are offering a top 5 RB and a top 15 WR for a top 3 WR.

I traded Kevin Jones and a 2nd round rookie pick for Willie parker, Stephen Davis, and Deshaun foster. I went from starting J-Lew, KJ, R Moss, Mason, Moulds to J-lew, FWP, Davis, Moss, and Mason14 team dynasty league, 1 ppr

:( Here I sit, with FIVE starting RBs in a 12-owner league...and I can't get anyone to trade with me.Dom DavisBrian WestbrookLamont JordanWillie ParkerMike AndersonI've tried dangling each of them as trade bait for a top-notch WR or QB, but have found no takers. Some of the other teams really need a third running back (a couple teams even need a starting second RB!), but they're all afraid to part with their early round selection at either of the two positions.

I like FWP as much as the next guy, but you better leave town before the authorities start looking for you due to the rape and robbery you just pulled.

I traded FWP and Chad Pennington for Carson Palmer and Michael Clayton. I already have Westbrook, Deuce and Mike Anderson at RB, and was glad to get rid of Pennington. Needed the additional depth at WR. I now have Horn, Fitzgerald, Burress and Clayton at WR.

I think you got hosed on that deal. Benson is garbage in a redraft, and horn is real good, but Housh has been fine, and you basically gave away FWP

We needed help at WR, and since we have FWP, we were able to trade one of out 2 starters if they didnt want FWP.. Ended up being: Westbrook/Evans/T. Taylorfor Moss/R.SmithNew lineup (16 team league)BulgerFWP/D.DavisMoss/R. Smith/C. chambersGonzalezPitt D.Lindell/Brownwe're 0-2.. hopefully not for long.
