Anyone believe in the Russell Wilson ranking this week? (1 Viewer)

So the FBG cheatsheets have Russell Wilson ranked 11. That is ahead of some pretty big names. They even have him ranked of Romo, who, after hindsight, had an awesome game.

Are any of you starting Wilson over the tried and true folks ranked below him? Personally, I would find it hard to pull the trigger....

I need to decide on him vs. Peyton and Schaub. I think for the first week I will go with a veteran (Manning) but it is very tempting.

Luck and RG3 both passed for 300 yards, joining Newton and Peyton Manning as the only rookies to ever do that in their first game. RG3 is the only one to do it without a turnover.Russell Wilson......not so much.

I know this is off topic, but this site seems absurdly low on Rivers. Feels like a personal vendetta or something. Wilson was ranked ahead of him? That's just silly.

List of opening day games by a rookie QB with at least 10 attempts, 1960-2011, sorted by passer rating.

First is Fran Tarkenton in 1961, who beat the Bears 37-13 going 17/23 for 250 yards, 4 TD, and 0 INT. Matt Ryan, Jim Kelly, Roger Staubach, and Cam Newton round out the top 5, although Kelly and Staubach both get asterisks since they weren't coming straight out of college. Last is Norm Snead, also in 1961, who lost to the Niners 3-35 going 8/34 for 140 yards, 0 TD, and 3 INT. Rounding out the bottom 5 are Bob Brodhead, Quincy Carter, James Harris, and Terry Bradshaw.

Well, it seems as if the cheatsheet ranking was a bit too high on Mr. Wilson today. Not horrible, I guess. But not worthy of a near top-10 ranking.
