I'm usually a lot more talkative during battle, probably too much do, but the headphones were echoing like crazy. I couldn't hear much but my own voice

We will see in the next couple days - maybe tonight.  

It's confirmed there is a huge difference in competition from where we were playing as a group, and where I am otherwise.  I played a couple more after you guys left and the opponents went down to level 15 - 6 kills on a character type players like I am.  

 
...and that lasted one session.  I guess I am not meant to have a functioning headset/controller combo, or just need to save up and not be a cheap ###.  

 
4 wins tonight.  

Saw someone pop on, but looks like it's staticy chat for you guys or bust for now.  Elite controller gives me more confidence to hit something, and I play better with it, so I will get a 2nd eventually.

I don't mind the static. I'll just keep my chatting to a minimum.

You said that the problem wasn't so much when I was talking, but there was a steady buzzing and when you talked it was an echo/you heard yourself 2x?

Right. I could hear you talking fine but my own voice and Hx voice would echo. The buzzing kind of came and went. I have no idea what would cause something like that.

Weird.  I did hear a little buzzing/static when I plugged in solo last night.  Just odd that you would hear me fine but you two echo.  Figure it would be the opposite.

It's always fun when you die right away and then have a squeaker calling you trash and that they banged your mom.

Didn't see you pop up tonight.  Got a few wins tonight too. 

The kid has been home sick this week, and I just remembered that I had a little bit of FF $ rotting on my PayPal from  2 years ago, so I put a little on his account so he can unlock a couple people and get the battle pass.  Couldn't resist doing the same for mine too. :bag:  Thinking about how the FBGs played the other night, Crypto was one I unlocked.  I use Bloodhounds Ult mostly to see where people are in the distance, and Crypto can do that far more often.  

 
What's the best player to use for a beginner? 

Anyone else routinely die right after landing? I'm pretty much already dead once I realize somebody is even shooting at me.

Wraith or Bangalore are easy for escaping. I die quite frequently. Just how it goes. If you land near other people, just be aware and grab a weapon quickly. 

 
I was going to say Bangalore and Bloodhound.    Still what I use a lot, and Bangalore can drop the smoke and get out of trouble, while Bloodhound let's you know if foes are around.  

The hard part of the game is the balance of those drops - as a new player it's best to try to get to the edge of the map and out of zones were 3-4 teams are going, but if you are jumpmaster and go there, unfortunately people are more likely to peace out on you.  

 
I was home sick with the kid today, so we spent some time watching youtube vids about the characters and how to use them.  There were still a few things I didn't know, which was good, but I felt all may age as I grumbled about watching youtube videos.    

I will probably be on tonight for a bit.

Just got piggybacked to a win by a guy with 13 kills.  I used Crypto and had 3 kills and 1100 damage, so didn't do horrible I guess.

No win for the old guys last night.   Feel like flap said- i seem to play even worse with fbgs.  

Live and learn- shouldn't have gotten trapped by the circle and the rocks with no outs.  

Son is downloading the Kings canyon patch now

Fair.  It is a bit smaller and see the point of the choke points.   The 13 year old was just showing me how to use Caustic in Bunker and trap people in rooms.  Pretty funny.
