Do you hit them more than 10% of the time?East Coast Bias said:I don’t always hit them.
I am bad and have been playing stuff for years. Bit in my defense it was mostly Skyrim and Fallout were there is VATS/aim assist. Like you said, I feel like I am just starting to get a bit of a handle on the game. I looked at my original account, and those stats were even worse than I posted- I think a .1 kill/game average and average damage of 60/g? A bit better now, and stats get better every season.flapgreen said:I started playing Apex around March. It's the only game I've played in over 15 years. I'm just now starting to sort of get the hang of it.
BTW, I gave zero damage in our win last night. Lol
. I have several of those. I'm buying one of those elite controllers this weekI am bad and have been playing stuff for years. I'm better in a support role. When I go straight out and get downed immediately, I put the team at an immediate disadvantage. I seem to have a lot more success when I hang off to the side and shoot the guy who's shooting my teammate. In our win last night, we basically stayed on one side of the map and no one was there for most of the game. Luckily, the ring closed directly toward our side and we had the position so not a lot of battling.. I have several of those.
Step above standard controller. Called Xbox elite controller. Also have controllers like Razer Ultimate etc. It's what the competitive gamers use. What's this?

I gave one to my son this Christmas. Its got removable thumb sticks that are both normal and taller sizes. They are also adjustable where you can make them tighter or looser depending on preference. Also it comes with paddles where you can reassign a specific function to a paddle - like sprinting or that stupid melee action in Apex.I assume better handling/response?
Is it worth it? I'd like to have better control of my aim.I gave one to my son this Christmas. Its got removable thumb sticks that are both normal and taller sizes. Assign melee to a paddle you never use and no more accidental punches during hot battles (we’ve all done this).
New Series 2 around 160. Gonna try to see if I can try one out at local game store down the street from my house.I see several controllers on Amazon- anything from $35 to $170.
I’ve never used it, but he loves it. He doesn’t play Apex but is super good at Fortnite. He uses one tall stick, and I think one of them is tight, the other looser for some reason or another - helps him in aiming or something. And I think he uses paddles for building. I believe assigning stairs to one paddle, walls to another and so on.Is it worth it? I'd like to have better control of my aim.
Yikes. For that I would rather get a used Xboxone.New Series 2 around 160. Gonna try to see if I can try one out at local game store down the street from my house.

That's how I usually play. More of a clean up, ping loot, help revive type of role. Starting to get back into bloodhound. Dont use the ultimate to charge in, more to highlight foes, ping for better teammates, and try to snipe a little.I'm better in a support role. good point! I always have enough coins or materials to buy each pass. Hx and we're talking last night about how we've played the game a ton and haven't spent any money on it.good point!
You or anybody else in here do the battle passes?
Lol- same here. Played too late, had to get up early for my sons basketball tournament, and now just hot up from a 90min nap.Stayed up too late last night. Had to take a nap today. I'm old
I'm at the mercy of my teammates this most of the time. If there's two or three of us playing together that know each other, we're trying to win. Map positioning. Taking the battles that are winnable and give us the best shot at winning the round.East Coast Bias said:I think I play a completely different style than the rest of you. Always drop hot zone if I can. Prefer kills over wins. Rarely pass up a battle.
I mean I do realize that I am not going to get better at combat if I dont engage in combat, but if I try to go in hot zones like ECB it usually ends in a couple minutes and probably without a kill as I run around like a chicken with my head cut off only holding a grenade or a 2020. I feel like I spend the night watching my teammates play, or loading games.I'm at the mercy of my teammates this most of the time. I played 4 or 5. Typical night of teams not jumping together and no kills.Playing a few before bed
I get reminded on a daily basis how much "easier" this game would be with an intact team most times you play. Most of the time my team is spread out and we are easy pickings. Last game last night = I am jumpmaster again, we head (OK - I do) to Sorting Factory. Of course one teammate decides to dip out and land on the other side of the canyon from there - I think fuel depot or something, so they are far away. I see another team heading to the main building of Factory so I ping the winding building an head there. Teammate #2 gets killed immediately in main building with group that dropped, and other dude logged off. I found an R99 with some good attachments and blue armor, so I run back to try to find his banner. I was able to knock down one player but of course they are working more as a team1 kill second game. Terrible teammates running wild
and there are 2 other players immediately on me and I die. WowI saw,an article saying they've banned 770k from Apex for cheating. more common on PC I'd bet, but I've seen stuff about buying aim bots on ps4 too.
What nowAlso, I wish their league system figured in stats like the kills/game.
Finished 3rd a couple times tonight. Getting some damage and a few kills.Played a handful of games. No wins, but two 2nd place finishes. Seems like I am back to not being able to hit jack (more than usual)
Just saying that I am always surprised when I play a ranked match, and it's hardly different than regular- I am playing vs people with 1000s of kills. What now
