I'm sure I left some players out but I can't remember a year where there were this many injuries (and or benchings) and I've been doing this since 1995.

Maybe we need a Drinen report to see if there is a statistical difference between this year and years past in terms of starters missing time.

ETA the names mentioned below. Ant to think I thought the WR's were doing OK compared to the rest...

ETA again to add more names. This list is getting ridiculously long...and I probably have missed a few still

ETA yet again to add more names after LJ was lost for the season. This list is much longer than any other season in FFB since I started in 1995. Maybe it's just my imagination, but this seems nutty. Are we pulling steroids out of the game so much that nobody can heal like they did when they were on the roids?

I don't have any stats at all to point to ... but I think there are a lot more severe injuries today than 25 years ago. Size/speed of the players could be a big part of that.

Something else: back then, a lot of injuries kept you out for a season ... especially knee ligament injuries. These days, modern medicine helps players come back from those much quicker -- BUT I think they come back compromised, and much more prone to re-injury. Again, no stats.

I would think that the playing surface would have some part of all of the injuries as well.

That new stuff just isn't as forgiving as advertised.

I can't say for sure that injuries are more prevalent league wide, but as a Bills fan I can't remember another season where there have been so many serious injuries this early in the season.

You can add:

Deuce, Kevin Jones, Ahman Green, Andre Johnson, Jacoby Jones, possibly Santana Moss, Greg Jennings, Calvin Johnson, Eddie Kennison, DJ Hackett, Hines Ward, and probably many others.

It's feels crazier than normal this year, that's for sure

Did you happen to watch Denver at Indy? That RCA Dome turf is brutal ... lots of shoes getting trapped in that turf (Rob Morrison, Travis Henry, Jay Cutler tripping while back-pedaling, etc.). Just like old AstroTurf.

Added to the list. Thanks....Didn't think I had missed this many..

Then in honor of the Patriots Spy-Gate logo, I present you the new logo for the... BUFFALO ILLS...

Is there something wrong with me if I look at that and immediately think it looks like it's leading with the crown of his head and is about to end up like Everett? :goodposting:
